732810 tn?1232129554 Hi, I am having a very difficult time dealing with family without having modd swings. I am trying to go to meetings, but my schedule and family situations are keeping me from doing so. Funny, I could have gone to bars and just neglected family in the past, but now, I am dealing with family situations and trying to be present. However, my children and my husband are DRIVING ME CRAZY. I keep serenity prayering and it helps for a little bit.
Avatar f tn I used to take on peoples crap and always gave people the benefit of the doubt. Now, if I am not treated with respect at work or at home I stand up for myself and let that person know that I'm not here to be treated like that or I walk away. I may not be the party girl I used to be and my social circle has decreased but I do have amazing friends and family and such support. Surround yourself in people that love you and will help you and you will be fine.
Avatar f tn for the baby and how much will effect him. I usually a very emotional person when dealing with death and I feel like a horrible person for not allowing myself to feel bad. What do I do???
Avatar m tn When anyone asks her why she does it she just says that she wants to. She is doing it at school now as well. She did it last year at school sometimes as well. I try really hard to not get upset. Alot of times I just walk away. I make sure though I tell her all the time that I love her and want to help her but when I ask what it is going to take she will say something like 1 day or something like that. She gets plenty of attention.
Avatar f tn Just like falling in love takes time so does dealing with a passing of a loved one.Just opposite ways of feeling.Love and loss, two parts of life that both hurt. For loving anyone or anything, such as a pet can lead to pain. All feelings lead to pain and despair, eventually. So do we stop feeling, stop loving, stop caring,no we just learn to adjust to our new lives without that loved one that pet, that friend.whom ever.Death ends a life, not a relationship.
Avatar m tn We are having problems with my 5 1/2 year old at school. Academically he is keeping up with all the other children and is very bright but socially he appears to be having problems. Every week we are getting reports that he has hit another child. He has got a very short fuse and if he doesn't agree with something then he loses his temper very quickly. We are told by his teachers that he often refuses to do his work.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm a 15 year old and I've been dealing with intrusive thoughts for about a year, though mainly homosexual thoughts there have been sacrilegious thoughts also,(I'm a Christian), when I was younger I never liked guys, only girls. These thoughts absolutely disgust me and drive me insane, I had what I think was a anxiety or panic attack a couple of weeks ago, I felt like I was losing my mind, even thoughts of suicide came into my head.
Avatar f tn Kk, I know exactly what you are going through because I am going through the same thing. I am 60 days out and have had severe panic attacks the past few months. I think the main reason is we are used to dulling our brains and really not dealing with "real life" problems with our brain in it's natural state. We lost a lot of our coping skills by NOT coping the way we should.
Avatar f tn Oh wow what awful things to hear..i havent dealt with it myself but its really sad to see racism still exists in this day and age..racist people are patethic and need to pitied if you ask me,screw em they arent worth it hun,we cant control ignorant people...nobody is born a racist its something thats taught and shame on those people...best thing you can do is just focus on your children and raise them to rise above such ignorance..

Avatar f tn At first it seems like the light at end of the tunnel, is so far and out of reach, but with the right support the tunnel is not so scary. This is what I tell myself everyday. I say, "Rachel, live today like Cooper would want you to!" "Live this day to make all his Angel Buddies proud!!" Your daughter does not want you to be sad, she wants you to LIVE. Keep her alive by sharing her life with others, the more you tell the more will LOVE!!!!!
Avatar n tn Since my ex found out his status he has more or less locked himself away in his apartment and he has been having a very hard time dealing with it (I dont blame him). Ive been trying to talk to him about what to tell our daughter and when I do get ahold of him he doesnt want to talk but is adament about not telling our daughter about his status, about him being ill or about anything basically.
3605625 tn?1385017548 I think our divorce works differently here in Australia, we can't actually make the other person pay half, its all up to the person who is filing for it. Paying $800 is for me to lodge it myself, it would be $1400 if i had a Lawyer do it. Yes, he does pay me child support every week thank god, but there is nothing i can do about what he spends his money on. I mean, its just a matter of principle isn't it, doing the right thing?

761787 tn?1234305359 im 19 wks pregnant and i have a fetus with a diagnosis of CPC im scared to death because i have to wait 3 wks to go to a specialist...anyone have any hopes or ideas??
Avatar n tn She does not want to talk at all and answers with one words. She has no contact with her friends and just lays on the couch. She is not the same at all she has done a 180. I asked her what is wrong and she said she keeps thinking it will happen again and is scared. Will this pass? Can she take something for this? I want my daughter to the way she was outgoing, energetic, vibrant, loving joking around talkative and just being a kid. Your thoughts on this.
1547031 tn?1296831436 At least not ones that pay as well as he is making here and it was his idea that I leave and go finish school, taking the kids with me. (It would take me an additional 3 years if we were to stay here and I try to continue my schooling here). So, what should I do? What can I do? How do you handle this? Because he is my husband and I should not feel so alone and so like a burden to him.
Avatar n tn my daughter came with me to every dr appt I had with my 2nd. my son now goes with me to every appt. my daughter has school. so she never really felt left out. but I can say too my kds are pretty mellow when they arnt playing around and when my daughter was an only child we didn't spoil her and if grandma would try we would put a stop to it. kids can get jealous and feel like they aren't special anymore but reassurance can go a long way.
