s skin cancer but cautious nonetheless. I just found it odd that these few spots are in sunless areas... ill keep an eye on them... hoping that no more arise. should i worry?

The dark marks are so bad that I apply cover up makeup to the area to hide them. The bleaching cream seems to be only lighting the area around the dark spots so I stopped using it. I have tried numerous creams and not getting any good results. What can be the cause of my outbreak and what if anything can I do to get rid of the dark marks?

Hi Dr. Rockoff, I've had a certain condition for a long time now. I have many dark brown spots under the uncircumcised skin area of the penis. It is in various spots around that uncircumcised area and is located all around the uncircumcised portion. Some of the spots are darker than others (some are even transparent). One particular spot is 1.5cm in diameter and the rest are around .5cm across.

If the spots aren't raised, scab-like, inflamed in any way, but instead are just like freckles, then I don't think that's anything to worry about. My previous dog, who was a white dog, developed these freckles both on his testicles, and on his belly. And it wasn't age-related for he had them when he was younger too. It WAS sun-related. He always developed them in the summer, and they faded away in the winter. Also, they were not related to skin cancers of any kind.
