I think its both positive and negative. It teaches the kids the dangers of smoking/second hand smoke and the problems it can cause as well as the result od death. As for the negative, the kids with the smoking patents are now worrying about losing their parent(s) due to the day care. Im an ex smoker myself.

My child's daycare have been taught that smoking kills people etc.. so move away from people if they're smoking. A lot of parents from the daycare have come in abusing the child care Centre as they're smokers and there young children keep telling them they're going to die.
Why risk something that has been scientifically proven to affect an unborn fetus? Science was a whole lot different for our parent's generation, scientist know so much more about the dangers of smoking than before. I just couldn't see myself taking chances like that knowing as many negative stories about it.
I have been getting them for years and just recently thought of the dangers due to being nipped when having my cuticles cut the past two times. I for tested for HIV after the first incident but this past time it happened one week ago. The lady nipped me and there was a bit of blood that bled out- she put antiseptic on it right away to avoid infection. Anyway, they clean their tools with a uv sanitizer ... I found a place with an autoclave but do I need to worry about this last time?

Hi ladies I have a question, me and my hubby used to smoke hookah alot but ever since I found I was pregnant I obviously stopped, I am 34wks pregnant and my hubby recently started Smoking hookah again but the VAPORIZOR one, the one that you smoke out the pen.

And FYI they do take a urin sample when you're at the doctors to test for drugs. But they only notify child survices if you're doing real harm to your child like meth or herion. Even crack. re most likely laid up, I would like to suggest a website called whyquit.com. While your recovering, you can educate yourself on the dangers of smoking. You are very young and quitting now will be a lot easier than 10 or 20 years from now.
To answer your question simply though; YES, one or two cigs a day will hurt you!

So, here I am, for the probably 4th time tapering off a 8-10/day hydro habit.
I am wondering...is this anything like quitting smoking? I smoked for 23 years, and could not imagine life without my "best friends", my cigarettes. I mean...what would I do when the phone rang, when I got in the car, after I was done eating, when I went out, sat next to the pool, etc etc. I remember thinking how will I EVER ENJOY life again without my cigarettes.
Oh God, marcusjune, what is the point of all this? Now that you've hyped up some scare point, what is your suggested next step. I mean, you can't simply show up and cite some oral cancer quote without telling us what we should do now. What's the meaning here? I put a whole lot more stock in soscared's calculations than some study. Facts are facts man, HPV is very well most likely a factor in throat cancers, but running around misrepresenting the dangers is uncool.
SIDS as well as second hand smoke dangers to you and you baby are important considerations in maintaining health for both of you. There are good prescription options for quitting smoking if your husband is willing to discuss them with his doctor. Chantix has had great success and well as Wellbutrin and quitting will keep him healthier for his baby too.

Re-reading what I wrote and feel a bit daft! I do agree with everyone else here! I was ignorant myself of the dangers of it, so am more educated now thanks to the good people here. I feel stupid for stating that it's legal.
Alcohol is legal. It almost killed me and TG I haven't had a drink for several years. I wish I could take my post down. I agree that it is something to be more concerned with, and feel like my post was way too blase.
