Avatar n tn t appear to interfere with Plavix, but Plavix is a drug that has a lot of contraindications, so I would be careful about most anything I took if I was on Plavix. So if your doc has no idea, as I suspect is the case since moringa isn't commonly known or used in the western world, I would probably try to find an ayurvedic physician. She has no previous problems with clots, although she is on medication for genetic hypertriglyceridemia which is fairly controlled by exercise and medication. Wouldn't Plavix combined with aspirin therapy not work just as well? Coumadin just seems like the old-fashioned way and more dangerous way to do things these days!

Avatar f tn I was on plavix for 18 months for my first stent and it never formed clots, but I believe there have been cases where it has happened. IF clots are going to form, they are usually very quickly as the plavix wears off. You don't have to ween off plavix, you simply stop it. It isn't a medication that affects your metabolism or mental state. Is it your general Doctor or Cardiologist who has stopped the medication? In the UK we are told we will be on Plavix 2-3 years or even possibly life.
