Dandruff shampoo grey hair

Common Questions and Answers about Dandruff shampoo grey hair

dandruff

I had started washing it only once, thinking it would help, but it did not and now the dandruff is back also. I had stopped the coal tar shampoo because it might be too harsh, but between the meds and the dandruff, the hair doesn't stand a chance. Talk about depressing, I was crying over the wastebin yet another time. I also noticed increased thirst and dryness, probably contributed to by the home heating, Now i understand those of you drinking tons of H20.
I searched this forum on dandruff and came up with T-Gel shampoo from Neutrogena. I was scratching and flaking like crazy before my hair started falling out. The T-Gel is kind of stinky but it got the itching and flaking down to a slow crawl. I found that these meds can cause seborrheic dermatitis and plain dandruff shampoo won't help. T-Gel has tar and coal in it.
Thinking this was my absolute last desperate chance of having nice hair again I ran to the store and bought some. I came home, washed my hair with clarifying shampoo and then dumped the Listerine on. IT WORKED. I could not believe it!! It still wasn't back to normal, but the difference it made me a believer in the Listerine. I just got done doing another round of it and its now 100% back to normal! I can't stop running my fingers through my hair - the way I used to be able to do!!!
Hello Madam My age is 30 years and Iam having hair loss from past 2 years and this became severe from past 1 month. My father is not bald. My hair is grey and i am using Indus valley hair dye prescribed by one doctor, Will hair dyeing result in hair loss? From past few months my hair is very itchy and I consulted a doctor and he prescribed Xgain shampoo and citregen tablets. Will this help? can i use Xgain shampoo regularly? I am really confused on what to be done, I love may hair a lot.
It seemed to be seborrheic dermatitis, and seemed to respond best to Nizoral shampoo, but I don't know how your hair type would like that shampoo. If diluted white vinegar isn't too drying, you could try rinsing with that. I cannot use any conditioner as it causes problems for me, blocking pores. I also found out I have celiac disease, so it was a side effect of digestive malabsorption. So find out if you have any intestinal problems going on.
I have the same problem with the sticky, waxy, greasy hair on the crown of my head. I've also been reading different posts on the internet. I don't use any hair products except nice & easy to color my hair and shampoo and creme rinse. I've noticed that it happens to my hair in the spring, and eventually subsides. I also tried a variety of shampoos (including medicated) and they didn't work. I did read about the vinegar and water treatment and I'm so glad others have posted that it works!
I am also having a little pain in hair frollic's when i drag my hand thru them. Please advise...
I have had these outbreaks of dark spots near my front hair line that turn grey-ish when i get in the shower or sweat. I went to a dermatologist and he said it was seborrheic dermatitis and gave me some desonide and a Znp bar back in February 09. The Desonide seemed to work but it began to discolor my skin "Im African American" so i use it sparingly.
Just colored my chair Sat. for the 1st time since off tx. Washed that grey right outta my hair! The hair thing is a bummer but should be the least of worries, it does come back. It a bummer though to lose it though. Just got last weeks lab report back. Everything is LOOKING GOOD! Hgb up to 13.7! WOOHOO and feeling it too! HCT 40.8, ALT 19.....AST 16, WBC 7.27 If I am not mistaken, those ought to be some pretty good numbers!
After reading somewhere that seborrheic dermatitis may be caused by a fungus, I started using the Head and Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo (which contains pyrithrione zinc). I massaged it into my skin twice a day for a few minutes while in the shower and then rinsed it off. To my suprise I started realizing good results after a few days, and it only took a couple weeks to be fully better. Just wanted to let you know what worked for me.
I am a 25 year old female and I have very thick hair that is prone to dandruff. What I have noticed happens is that my scalp legitimately itches from the dandruff, then when I scratch it I get carried away and want to smooth out my whole scalp. It can get pretty gross though when it starts to bleed. I also find it relaxing and trance-like as others have mentioned. I want my hair to be longer, so I'm going to have to stop this behavior.
He told me to buy dandruff shampoo and wash the areas with the shampoo until they were gone. It worked like a charm.
Told me to .put Selsun Blue Dandruff Shampoo in my bath and then go soak in the tub. His patients tell him it helps the dreaded rashes...and any other bumps and itchies. If you try it, let me know...I have yet to..cause I so rarely take baths. Ima shower kina gal.
BUGGED OUT, I BELIEVE YOU! It has been suggested to me by a psychiatrist that I have psychosis because I'm plagued by bugs crawling & biting me but when I brush them away, I don't see anything! I have had this problem off & on for many years! However, after reading your post, I began checking my fingernails & hands when I scratch or brush the bugs away & discovered that there are actually bugs!
it took me months to figure it out, because when you get bitten all you will see is a black speck or a tiny white dot(which just looks like severly dry skin...in your hair will just look like dandruff) after examination IS NOT DRY SKIN/DANDRUFF@ALL!!! It flys when it gets older but, smaller one's crawl all over! It will move and kindof flop up when touched(if you can grab it BEFORE it gets into a pore or hair follicle)...
I do sometimes feel like sand granules when I feel an itch. The itch feels like hair being tickeled down my back. I also feel like these bugs run quickly over my toes or down my back or leg. I have to sleep with an industrial fan on because it blows them off me at night now that it's cold it a little difficult.. I wash my sheets and blankets daily. I wipe down the plastic on my bed daily with alcohol as I speak right now they are crawling all over my legs in my computer room.
I thoroughly put some oil in my shampoo/soap, washed clothes in hot, dropping some oil in the laundry. I'm still having the sensations. I've just started playing piano actively again and I'm going now more with muscle spasms--I'm getting a lot of sensations in my forearms where the strainwould be from this activity, but I'm getting that annoying sensation all over! At night, we have no distractions, just lying there feeling the crawling--it is maddening and I hope it goes away soon!!
I recently used a dandruff shampoo and almost immediately the running of my ears slowed down to a near halt but now I have scaly skin in the outer ear with incessant ringing and my sense of smell is stronger. Does this make sense?
Chapped lips Dandruff Dry skin and itching Dryness of the nose, nose bleeds. Irritation of the eyelids Rash Headaches Nausea Blurred Vision Mood Changes Stomach pain Rectal Bleeding Skin yellowing Joint and muscle pain. Delayed wound healing. Hair loss... (Occuring years after the drug is discontinued) Increased sunburn, less excretion of melanin. Decreased night vision. Okay, if those minor side effects aren't bad enough... this may convince you otherwise. Depression, suicidal thoughts.
I've always wondered why my hair falls out so easily and why I have stretch marks. After doing a quick web search, it seems these can be caused by zinc deficiency. I've always eaten enough zinc containing foods, so maybe it's a matter of poor absorption. Hmmmm...
