Common Questions and Answers about Dandruff remedies with vinegar

dandruff

17551709 tn?1457744886 I have had dandruff for years. I tried washing my hair with different shampoos, tried washing my hair multiple times per day and even tried several different anti-dandruff shampoos without success. Now I'm going to start using home remedies like apple cider vinegar.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you have dandruff- which the selsun blue shampoo should help, but sometimes it can be resistant to anti-dandruff shampoos for various reasons. You could try some other brands (such as head and shoulders) or you could try some home remedies- lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. If that doesn't work, you may want to head back to your doctor to see if the flakes are indications of another medical condition- it could be something like eczema.
Avatar f tn In an earlier age I have taken him to the doc they gave then anti/dandruff shampoo but that didn’t help. Anyone who is familiar with this who maybe knows any anything that could help even if its any home remedies…your advice is needed!! We have started trying washing his hair with vinegar as told by couple of people, could this also help???
Avatar n tn Today I intend to try the mayonnaise and vinegar process and see if actually works on the head. The only thing that i'm questioning is that if this remedy really works on the scalp area, then how do I kill the ones in my eye brows, eyelashes, nose, and ears? Again, if someone out there knows the best way to treat this issue, then please let me know, this is my day off and I will be fighting lice all day long.

Avatar m tn I've always had issues with Dry Scalp and Dandruff, particularly during the winter. Over the past couple years, I've also developed some sort of scalp sores that when picked at tend to bleed. They seem to continually come back. I've tried a number of shampoos - Head and Shoulders, Nizoral, Aveda Pureformance, T/Gel, American Crew, etc. with varying results.
4315059 tn?1352675085 If he had asked me the questions he should have he would have found out that I had fungal problems in the past and that it at least should be looked into and then given me the proper advice from there. Secondly I consulted with a physician today and he told me to try out the cider vinegar peroxide, and if it works then its great....I am going to see him within the week.
Avatar n tn f you think you have lice, after you wash your hair, rinse it with a mixture of white vinegar and water (half and half). Lice do not like vinegar and will give up residence.
687194 tn?1244811182 I have a very very itchy and flaky scalp. I have tried all the OTC remedies, Sea Breeze and Tea Tree Oil. It is driving me crazy. I wake up in the middle of the night sratching my head. I do not have this problem anywhere else on my body except the scalp. I have to constantly wipe my clothing off. I color my hair but have for years. I have not changed my shampoo or hair products at all. Can someone tell me about a remedy that will help...I will try just about anything!
Avatar f tn Ive always suffered from dandruff and so i used T-gel and capisal anti-dandfuff shampoos, but when i got pregnant my doc told me not to use them because of coal tar and so i stopped, it also says on the back of the bottle not reccomended during pregnancy, its been 9 weeks and my head is soo itchy its driving me mad :( .. Anyone know any good natural ways to get rid of it?
Avatar n tn Yes! I have started keeping a diary of my flare ups, which are pre menstrual. Also could it be that your water is too hard? I installed a water filter in my shower & my seb-Derm ceased up until 7 days before my menstrual cycle. So I tried that organic raw vinegar (Braggs) and the inflammation ceased immediately but the smell grossed me out. The vinegar requires multiple applications.
Avatar f tn Since then any time I get one I dip a Cotton ball in apple cidar vinegar and place it on the wart, holding it in place with a bandaid and leave it over night, this gets rid of the warts usually within 2-3 days. However it irritates my skin. MY QUESTION, is in regards to vinegar baths. I have read online you can take vinegar baths by pouring some vinegar into a full bath and soaking. Now I'm wondering if by doing this it will treat genital warts?
Avatar f tn That was last year and it feels like it’s back this time I feel it almost paralyzing and going directly for my veins in arms and legs. Tried baking soda, flea and dandruff shampoo, listerine, peroxide , apple cider vinegar , cayenne pepper (Burns like a B*tch) aloe Vera, and cloves but I want them gone. Is it an actual possibility to remove this completely or just subdue....? Would like to hear your thoughts.
Avatar f tn Hello! I currently have a cold as well. My nose throat ears...everything hurts...I called my doctor this morning and she told me REGULAR/PLAIN sudafed and Tylenol are okay. I've also been talking hot showers the steam really helps.
Avatar m tn I wrapped my penis with a guaze bandage soaked with vinegar for 2 days. It got rid of the warts, but it burned my scrotum skin. There is a small ulcer that was burning. I put povidone-iodine in it and it stopped the burning and it looks like its healing now... I am just worried ... Will this increase my chance of scrotum skin cancer ?
Avatar n tn However, I could have supplied more detail (yes, a doctor prescribed it) and I had been using a tar-base shampoo for decades until it seemed to lose its mojo about a year ago. I also have played around with how often to use the Keto-shampoo but with no improvement. I'll check out the guide and find myself a new doctor!
Avatar n tn its not red, its slightly lighter than my regular color even when i tan, i think maybe just because it is dead skin coming off? i work in a place with lots of blacklights so its kind if embarassing...also i am always cold so i bundle up a lot even though i live in fl. so my armpits are probably ideal for a fungus. but it isnt so spotted like ive seen pics of tinea versicolor. i dont want to moiusturize them too much if its fungus right?i shave them 4-5 days a week.could it just be dry skin?
Avatar f tn Try using some Apple Cidar Vinegar topically. Just pour some in a cup and use a cotton ball or makeup pad to soak it up and spread on the scalp.
Avatar n tn You can treat flaking and dryness with over-the-counter dandruff or medicated shampoos. Shampoo the hair vigorously and frequently (preferably daily). Active ingredients in these shampoos include salicylic acid, coal tar, zinc, resorcin, ketoconazole, or selenium. If the symptoms persist, then it would be best to get it confirmed from a dermatologist. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm a 16 y/o girl with a super embarrassing problem. I've contracted ringworm on the back of my neck. It's bumpy, very red and swollen, and sometimes it just causes skin on my scalp to flake off like dandruff. Sometimes small little bumps (like pimples) will just appear around the area and they really hurt. I've been to the doctor twice now.
Avatar f tn I now have very severe dandruff, with scabs on my scalp, and my hair has begun to thin--my eyebrows are nearly as bad as my lashes. I don't know if any of this is related, but it has made me very self-conscious about it and everything I do does not help.
Avatar n tn Does.anyone.have.home remedies for acid reflux. If so please post,.
Avatar f tn I have constant dry scalp. It does not flake like Dandruff. I get sore spots all over especiallly along hair line. I had it bad a few years ago, then it got better. It just never cleared up. It hurts to even brush my hair. It has made my hair so dry that I cannot even style it anymore. It feels good after first washing it, but then it starts all over again. It itches too.
