Hello, Greasy oily scalp can be due to less frequent washing of hair and it can cause hairfall as well. One of the natural home made remedies for the oily scalp is the use of lemon juice on the scalp and waiting for 15 min before washing it off. I tried natural remedies which I picked up from forums such as this, including washing my hair with vinegar, bicarbonate soda powder mixed with Johnson's baby shampoo, and lemon juice. This gave me some temporary relief but I smelt like a fish and chip shop! I was at my wits endand was just about to spend a significant amount of money visiting a private dermatologist when I walked into a pharmacy and noticed a shelf of 'medicated' shampoos.

Sometimes it got so itchy that i scratch until the scalp sore and bleeds.i've tried so many methods but the dandruff thing would not go.I've tried using some lemon juice on the scalp one a week (traditional method), shampoo regularly and using coconut oil to avoid the hair become dry and brittle. The dandruff are still there. Is it some kind of disease? I want to know more about it and method to treat this condition.Thank you.
I used laundry soap, dish soap, tea tree oil shampoo, clarifying shampoos, vinegar, bakingsoda, lemon juice, and that just a few!! I even bought a new hair brush and pillows for my bed. I have switched everything I could think of. It almost feels like conditioner is left in my hair. So just in case I stopped using that. I have no idea whats going on, but it won't come out. I am not an unhealthy person. I shower everyday sometimes twice a day. I'm so frustrated!!
Get the original green palmolive and apply it only to the crown of your head... lather with some apple cider vinegar and lemon juice and let it sit for a little before you get in the shower. Buy Pantene Clarifying Shampoo... wash your hair with this and rub it around with the palmolive then rince. Then for the final rinse use one of the medicated shampoos.... the truth is i used so many different kinds all at once that im not sure exactly which one did the trick....
lol But i'm gonna try something which i think everyone here should try too. I'm gonna mix some yoghurt, chickpea powder(optional), and lemon juice and apply it over there. Avoiding the lips. Dont want anything getting in there! Since its completely natural it shouldn't cause any sort of irritation or infections or anything like that. I saw some comments in here asking how porn stars have really beautiful vaginas. I wish i knew. They're really lucky.
was a combination of original Palmolive (dish detergent), apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. I combined a little of each and made a sort of paste and applied it to my crown. Make sure to really lather it in. Then let it sit for 10-15 minutes before you rinse it out.....no conditioner. This helped my hair with one wash. It's been a week now and no problems whatsoever. Yay!!!
and i literally tried more products than i can even count (zinc shampoo, coal tar shampoo, salycilic acid, glycolic acid, lysterine, lemon juice, olive oil, soap, clarifying shampoo's.... and nothing has worked.....i'm not sure what the underlying cause is but i'm sure it has something to do with sebum glands since lately my face has been breaking out too... I finally found a way to get the sticky oil out of my hair temporarily, but i haven't been able to find a "cure".....
The best way to treat this scalp condition is by using medicated shampoos (salicylic acid, selenium sulfide, zinc pyrithione, coal tar) , along with a good clarifying shampoo. Additional home remedies include apple-cider vinegar, fresh lemon juice, baking soda, and dish detergent. I also recommend Diflucan (anti-fungal) pills. In the worst case scenereo accutane will control symptoms... although i do not recommend that as it is very strong and has many unfavorable side effects.
I've had this problem going on for about a year now and have tried multiple remedies. As some people have mentioned, Pantene and Garnier Fructis were used near the start of this condition and may have had some contribution to all of this. While reading the responses, one person mentioned that they were taking a fish oil vitamin supplement when their problem first started and i realized that i was also taking a vitamin when mine started!!
Tinea Versicolor is a skin fungus and it doesnt sound like you have that so dont bother with the dandruff shampoo or any of the other antifungal remedies. Speaking from years of research you have sun damage, whether you use tanning beds or not. There is no known treatment for the condition you have. The small white spots will continue to spread.
I WILL GIVE YOU ONE FOR FREE. PURE LEMON JUICE. IF YOU CAN FIND ORGANIC FRESH LEMONS, SQUEEZE HALF OF A LEMON IN A HALF GALLON OF WATER. THIS IS A NATURAL DETOX. DO A LIVER CLEANS TO GET RID OF LIVER STONES AND GALL BLADDER STONES. DR. HULDA CLARK HAS A WEB PAGE WITH THE INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO DO IT FOR FREE. ANOTHER THING. NEVER NEVER NEVER USE BODY SPRAYS TO MASK ODORS. THIS WILL ONLY MAKE YOUR PROBLEM WORSE. THOSE ARE CHEMICALS THAT YOU ARE THROWING ON YOUR SKIN AND YOU ABSORB THEM.
Tell her to hang in there. I shampoo with dandruff and medicated shampoos to control the seb derm and any inflammation there may be. They tried me on oral nerve blocks like Gabapentin and Lyrica but they didn't do anything. They are clueless and it's depressing... At first they told me it was all psychological. They had never heard of scalp pain before but I brought in cases of them and they started to believe me and did some research but also could not find a cause or cure.
I have the same problem. I used the old remedy all natural. I bought a lemon, cut it in half and put it on all the areas under my breasts and I had no smell with-in 2 minutes. I was so relieved. So my best bet is to buy a all natural lemon soap until winter comes.
Its in tons of pre-packaged foods, including frozen food, medication...even wine. The worst for me is dried fruit, wine and anything with lemon juice or vinegar. As long as I don't eat anything with sulfates I don't itch. Try it! :) hope it helps...
I ADORED tomatoes, but now have to be careful, same as lemon and tangerines. I’ve had this for just over two years. I use a nasal spray called Beconase and Nonjela- and gargle with hot salty water on really bad days when my tongue feels on fire and everything I eat hurts like hell!!!! It’s a really crappy and unpredictable condition. The oddest foods spark it off. Any suggestions on anything that helps not have it hurt so much would be cool.
I thought that I had scabies at first...so I did a ton of research on natural remedies since I had no insurance at the time...and a lady in a forum mentioned Neem Products that you buy at health food stores or online. They work amazing. My finger got to the point where it was cracked and had small bumps on it with clear fluid inside. Occasionally it would be really itchy. Anyways, I bought the Max. Strength neem soap bar, the neem lotion, and a tiny tiny jar of neem oil.
So, since you have to crush garlic to relese teh allicin, I have crushed a clove or two daily, wait 10 minutes (apparently you need to wait just a few for the needed chemical response with allicin) then put the smashed clove in a little shot glass with tomato juice and slam it! Also, I drink a full glass of water so the stomach acid doesn't destroy the beneficail garlic- I read that the water acts as a buffer so the garlic has a little more time to do its thing in the stomach.
it took me months to figure it out, because when you get bitten all you will see is a black speck or a tiny white dot(which just looks like severly dry skin...in your hair will just look like dandruff) after examination IS NOT DRY SKIN/DANDRUFF@ALL!!! It flys when it gets older but, smaller one's crawl all over! It will move and kindof flop up when touched(if you can grab it BEFORE it gets into a pore or hair follicle)...
I recently used a dandruff shampoo and almost immediately the running of my ears slowed down to a near halt but now I have scaly skin in the outer ear with incessant ringing and my sense of smell is stronger. Does this make sense?
Does this condition seem to occur with other skin conditions such as hives and/or dandruff? My son has to use several different dandruff shampoos in the shower, which could be contributing to his EK. I will encourage him to use gloves when shampooing. Also, is there anyone who is willing to post photos of their condition? Thanks.
Chapped lips Dandruff Dry skin and itching Dryness of the nose, nose bleeds. Irritation of the eyelids Rash Headaches Nausea Blurred Vision Mood Changes Stomach pain Rectal Bleeding Skin yellowing Joint and muscle pain. Delayed wound healing. Hair loss... (Occuring years after the drug is discontinued) Increased sunburn, less excretion of melanin. Decreased night vision. Okay, if those minor side effects aren't bad enough... this may convince you otherwise. Depression, suicidal thoughts.
I went cold turkey and stopped using steroids. I searched the internet and tried the many remedies suggested; shampoos, hot compresses..........nothing really helped. My eyes would tear constantly. I was a mess. One day I purchased Dr. Hauschka eye balm. Wow. It made an immediate difference. After a few weeks my skin was healing, itching was diminished but I wasn't totally out of the woods. I googled all of the ingredients in my eye balm to try to test each on individually.
I wanted to add that one thing I noticed which seems to help is lemon juice. I have started doing a shot of fresh lemon juice each morning. I know it sounds horrible, but it's actually pretty good. My girlfriend turned me on to it. You just take a lemon and squeeze the juices into a shot glass. We put a little sea salt around the rim. It's pretty good. I really enjoy it and it's a nice way ot start off the morning.
from the last PATM message board, who was cured after only drinking a small glass of red wine each night and doing a lemon/lime enema every 3 days? I was looking for a connection between the red wine and our problems. This is what I found: "Resveratrol and red wine extracts inhibit the growth of CagA+ strains of Helicobacter pylori in vitro." http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1489755 http://lib.bioinfo.pl/pmid:17230601 Hmmm....
