I would love to expiriement with a diet made up of 25% fat, 25% protein, and 50% carbs, although, I fear it will make me gain weight, which I am not looking to do. Some sources have stated that it's a matter of total calories, while others have emphasized high protein diets increasing the metabolism. I don't want to start gaining weight, but am curiouse as to what would come of redistributing my macronutrients?

A can of coke has 45mg of caffeine, from what ive read and asked my high risk OB under 200 mg is safe. So really, 1 can of coke is way way under what the safe zone is. Add an additional 200 calories if you are breast feeding after the baby is born, total 2300 calories daily. This will keep you healthy and baby will grow for both pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Make sure your diet is mostly whole foods including low-fat dairy, whole-grains, lean protein, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and healthy oils. Don't skip breakfast. Don't get in the habit of staying up late, then rush to get to class. You need food to get your metabolism up, your energy levels will be low and you'll be starving and likely to overeat by lunch.
