4194487 tn?1370046144 I know what you mean! I was 16 with my first child and as soon as people found out I was pregnant EVERYONE wanted to be my new best friend. I had people who I hadn't talked to in years asking on a daily basis how I was doing and if they could feel her move. Now this time i'm 20 and everyone wants to Facebook me and touch me when they see me at the store and its annoying.
Avatar f tn My daughters have pics of their families on facebook and make no bones about what is going on in their daily lives. My one daughter who is a stay at home mom, is on it frequently thru out the day and that is how I keep up with her instead of over the phone! It makes you wonder what the future holds as far as us and the net.
Avatar f tn I finally told my sister this year about my diagnosis and she asked about diet, and I just told her that there are a lot of theories on diet and I have made some modifications to mine but it's not a cure. I will have this for the rest of my life, but I feel good and I am fine and there is no reason to believe that I wont continue to be fine for a very long time. The guy that sent me the message is not even a very close friend.
Avatar f tn Im wondering when do you think is best to post the news either in Facebook o Another social media. Im only 4 weeks and suuuuper excited that I'd like to shout the news everywhere. What do you suggest??? :) congrats everyone!!
148588 tn?1465778809 It will be interesting to see what they come up with for Facebook conversations - if they do. It was loaded with fake news that some people jumped on like flies on honey.
Avatar f tn My ex announced it on facebook the day the dr confirmed... I was furious. I wanted to wait a bit, around 18 weeks or so. Now I get "you're still pregnant" comments. Very irritating. I would wait until you feel it is time. Good luck!
Avatar m tn The dietitians recommendation, based on a study published in the Journal of American Nutrition and Diet, recommends a high calcium and oxalate diet on the theory that such a diet will have the calcium and oxalate combine in the digestive track before they get to the kidney. An additional concern is that the urologist recommended diet cuts out many food groups that I have come to believe are good for you: whole wheat bread and pasta, beans, leafy green vegetables, nuts, green tea, chocolate.

748902 tn?1286034758 m grateful for the sunshine and for an old friend from uni contacting me on facebook and for getting my fringe cut for free and having a lovely chat with the receptionist at the hairdressers about the fundraising the salon is doing for Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital and the little child from the hospital that she had met who had inspired her to fundraise harder and for having some money in my purse to be able to make a donation and for my adorable husband and the harry potter film being

Avatar n tn I joined a group called Type 2 Diabetes Straight Talk on Facebook. They are an amazing group of supportive people with the same problem, and they have learned through strict diet low-carb high-fat, not only can they control her diabetes that they can really lower their numbers and get their A-1 C back where it belongs. Check them out. But be prepared for some strict, honest advice. Loads of recipes and eating guidelines.
587315 tn?1333552783 Hi! I know that a lot of our forum members are interested in raw food diets. On my facebook page this morning, I saw a great link shared by Jackson Galaxy(I absolutely love him). I took a quick look and thought I'd share it! There's also an app that you can download to help you out with getting the recipes purrfect!! http://feline-nutrition.
1117137 tn?1345227905 I am 11 weeks today. I told my boss! So, my mom's side and dad's side know, and my husbands mom's side know, but dad's side still needs to know (his parents are divorced) Lots of our friends know, so it's pretty much out there. Haven't put a posting on facebook yet to tell the whole world know... but probably next week will.
1763947 tn?1334055319 On the national news this morning, they reported on Yolanda Foster's battle with chronic Lyme and her recent setback where she said she is unable to read, write or watch TV. It is great the illness is getting covered but sad that it took her getting so ill to do it.
Avatar f tn Sorry Lu but I beg to disagree about the fact that Swank has never been proven to make a difference in MS. In fact his ground breaking research on MS which started in the late forties and continued for over 30 years is absolutely breathtaking in the comparison between the health of those who kept to the diet and those who didn't. The only reason the medical community rejected it was because it adhered to medical trial standards that were acceptable to 1940 methologies.
9131648 tn?1406565316 Okay, so I am currently 13w6d along, and I have told all my family and close friends in person that I am expecting! (I wanted to make sure of that before posting it anywhere online so that people I closely care about would find out appropriately and not over the internet.) My finacè on the other hand, has only told his immediate family and none of his distant relatives know yet.
148588 tn?1465778809 Oddly, I don't see a lot from NPR or other legitmate news sites, either, for that matter, on my Facebook news feed, unless I link them myself, when I find something interesting/important. I do see a lot of "cr*p" that I scroll right on by, because by now, I've learned many/most of the fake sites. Also, oddly enough, I've turned off most of those sites, only to have them crop back up, at some point, without my permission.
Avatar m tn Yes, it's on Facebook somewhere (but I don't know where) that he went into surgery on Saturday at 5 pm and was closed at 11 pm. He did great according to the FB post and now we just have to send him the best healing Karma we can manage. What truly fantastic news! I don't belong to FB but I think I recall that he told me it was a 36 year old liver prior to surgery. I'm not sure of that but I think it's true. I was just too excited to think straight or hear straight.
Avatar f tn Really you want to know when to post your news on facebook! Why not tell friends in person or write on a little card send it to themor give it to them saying on the front it's a boy or girl if you know the sex. It may only be me but I don't see why people feel the need to announce to everyone their news or business. Why not just tell people face to face or a card phone call etc like people normally do or should I say use to. Much better than announcing on a social media site.
