Cytomel vs clenbuterol

Common Questions and Answers about Cytomel vs clenbuterol

cytomel

Avatar m tn Can clenbuterol be taken at the same time as cytomel (t3), or does it have to rotated. Each drug rotated on a two week on, two week off cycle?
Avatar n tn 5 mcg is the smallest dose of cytomel you can get. You can try quartering the cytomel, though it's rather difficult with those tiny pills. I have done it though. I've never heard of tonsilitis being a side effect of cytomel; do you have a website or anything stating that? It's not unusual to have symptoms return when changing doses/meds, until your body gets used to them. Even though cytomel is fast acting, it can still take some time to adjust to it.
1058524 tn?1285187240 I can't take Cytomel past one pm or I can't get to sleep until midnight. That stuff is strong. I suggest taking it earlier, and then breaking the 25 into three or four doses. Maybe 25 in the am. 12.5 before lunch and 12.5 before dinner. Also, I don't think you will feel your best until you get back on the Levo. How long until you are finished with treatment and can get back on the Levo? I am thinking of quitting my Cytomel and just going with the stronger Synthroid.
Avatar n tn t know? What are your thoughts on that, vs just increaseing my cytomel?? I bodyfat percent keeps going up, so it is obvious I need my Free t3 to kick into gear, has ordered a reverse T3 as well to see what is going on with that?? That test is not very common, what will it show??
Avatar m tn Would taking 60mcg T3 and clenbuterol daily for weight loss affect the HIV testing window? I recently did an oral oraquick test today which would put me at the 6wk and 8wk period after two sexual encounters. I started taking the T3 about 3 days ago and will likely take it for the next two months, not sure when I will start the clenbuterol though.
Avatar m tn and my last test i needed to go up a tad bit so i tried to ad 25mcg t4 and it put me right back into the fog so instead i added 5mcg more cytomel and felt good again. so it is what works for each individual.
Avatar f tn I've been on cytomel for about 8 years but changed drs about two years ago. She continued to prescribe my cytomel and synthroid doing tsh checks every six months. Just about every time I went in she would talk about not understanding the cytomel prescription. I just went for another tsh test and she decided not to prescribe the cytomel and only the synthroid. I spoke with the nurse and asked if the test included a t3 test and were my levels off.
Avatar f tn This is related to the other question you asked about generic vs brand cytomel. It's always best to keep related questions together. While you may not feel that 5 mcg cytomel is not making a difference, most likely, it is, even though it may be subtle. I was on 5 mcg for quite a while before my endo finally agreed to increase to 7.5 mcg/day and I'd even forget to take it on occasion. If you forget often enough, you'll know the difference.
Avatar n tn Cytomel is a fast acting drug with a short "half-life" in your system (just hours). Synthroid (T4) takes weeks to build up the dosage in your system and weeks to come off of. If you go the Synthroid route, it will take you a much longer time to get "hypo" for the RAI when you do eventually do it. I would put off your trip, do the RAI, and be done with it, if possible or do the RAI sooner.
Avatar f tn After 4 years on Armor thyroid, my MD switched me to synthroid 25 mcg and cytomel 5 mcg 1 bid (tid prn). I am a 50 y.o females who is s/p total hysterectomy for ovarian ca. I take Estratest FS 4 X's week. I am feeling MUCH better with the Synthroid and Cytomel, however, my latest labs have come back as follows: TSH- .062 Free Thyroxin-- 1.
280485 tn?1249013844 and been trying to level out on meds ever since. I take 137mcg of Levothyroxine and 25 of Cytomel daily. On March 11th (my last endo visit) my numbers were: free T3 - 5.7 free T4 - 0.94 Thyrogolobulin <0.1 Anti Thyroglobulin <4 TSH 0.80 Since I never took thyroid meds b4 surgery, I have no frame of reference for all of this. I do know for cancer suppression that I should have a TSH close to 0, but that's about it. I question the Cytomel and how effective it is vs.
Avatar n tn I am wondering if I can up the levothyroxine vs. the cytomel, if that would keep my numbers in a better check. With my old dose, and exercise, I was keeping at an overall 160-165. Now I am creeping back up over the 170 mark. It worries me, since I have worked sooo hard to keep my energy up and weight down.
Avatar f tn What would be the determining factor for prescribing armour thyroid vs synthroid (and maybe cytomel)? I appreciate your help very much. It seems like it has taken forever to get the right dosage and help.
566103 tn?1228385767 If you do have a conversion problem and Armour does not appeal to you, there is also synthetic T3, called Cytomel. Some people take a combination of Levothyroxine and Cytomel. Most people are able to take a levothyroxine product and convert T4 to T3 properly. This is actually the best approach if it will work for you. Taking a T4 drug allows for a more even release of T3.
280485 tn?1249013844 -0 My question is: I was on 137mcg Levothyroxine and 25mcg Cytomel. He perscribed 175 mcg Synthroid, and of course, I am to discontinue the Cytomel. Are the two meds Levo and Synthroid, similar as far as how much you need? Or should I anticipate a big difference in how I feel tomorrow and the next few days? And, I guess I'm wondering if this is going to take weeks to ramp up and just a wild a#@! guess that will need several "tweekings"?
Avatar n tn Thanks so much for your responses, I am excited that my doc is treating the t3 vs tsh, cause I still have alot of hypo symptoms, but just not really understanding the whole idea of adding cytomel vs upping my armour, I think he said it was because my FT4 was at a good level and just needing to fine tune my ft3??
280485 tn?1249013844 Cytomel/Synthroid or Cytomel and (insert any other T4 drug here), and Armour too? Of course not all at the same time. I'm looking for a comparison in synthetic drug combos vs. natural thyroid replacement here. I swear I've tried more thyroid meds than a drug addict at this point (and could probably start my own pharmacy... Shhhh! Don't tell the FDA...:-O), but I've not yet tried Armour.
