It's strange because I've perceived an anti- Hillary theme at CNN. I believe that ratings and not politics drive CNN and whatever they feel will drive ratings is the way they'll go.

I agree that you need to choose something that has high ratings for safety. After you see the ratings then you can see what fits into your budget. It also depends on what you think is going to fit your lifestyle the best. Some strollers are really light weight and goog for someone who is constantly in and out of the car. Others have different wheels, so do you want something that works with dirt/sand or are you only going to use it on pavement?

I am a hearing aid user for last 6 months, but I am using an old analog BTE hearing aid. Last week I went to an audiologist ( Hearing solution) and they asked me to change my hearing aid to digital. I found it is more expensive but great in performance. Can anyone help me to select a suitable and perfect hearing aid?

I am on synthroid and cytomel. I take some other vitamins 6 to 8 hours later. I would like to take a calcium supplement. I know I have to wait at least 4 hours after the synthroid and cytomel, but does introducing calcium supplementation change thyroid levels. Should I get retested in 6 weeks. I thought I read somewhere that calcium stay in th e blood an could change thyroid levels regardless of when you take it. Also, anyone try Maca or l-tyrosine?

m having an rT3 problem, went off T4 for 3 months and the rT3 dropped to an acceptable level and ratio. Then I went back on 1/3 the dose of T4 that I was on before (and I take Cytomel as well) and the rT3 has gone back up and the ratio is again too low, after only 5 weeks. So I really need to measure my basal temperature to try to figure out what is going on with me. Does anyone have a source for an accurate basal thermometer ?

what I found was all her ratings were below average... and I found another doctor in the next county over..a 40 min drive (same time frame as what we drive now) and all her ratings are beyond above average but my babys father says no....

LIke i said before, i would see whats in your price range and then check the safety ratings, Britax is an upper end brand with good safety ratings and Graco is a good middle of the road brand also with good safety ratings. Just figure out which carset your looking at and check the safety ratings on that model. What about strollers? Jogging ones? Travel ones? I've always LOVED travel systems.

I have two good candidates to select from for a cataract surgeon. They both have websites and they seem to list preferences for lens replacement technologies. I was wondering if I should go to both doctors to see what they recommend and then do my selection - or if there was some other good approach for doing a selection? From my research on lens technology it seems like a Tecnis 1-piece lens might be a good choice - but only one of the doctor's websites list Tecnis lenses.

t care as long as it is installed the right way. I have always done some research before I bought ours. Some have way better ratings then others. Some are easier to carry around and put in the car. It's really up to what you want.

I have heard that dense breasts are harder to find things in , but I don't think that necessarily means there is anything there. Maybe they are SOOOO dense that they can't see anything, so they would have to assume that there could be something there, therefore the birad 4 category. They are very careful with those ratings, and making sure they don't miss things. You should try to ask your physician or the radiologist to clarify what it means. Good luck!

If not, why are you on T3-only med (Cytomel)? What were your labs a week ago before going on the Cytomel, and were you on any other meds then?

I was up to 125 mcg synthroid, then dropped back to 75 synthroid, then switched to 75 generic levo and added 10 mcg cytomel. That was too much cytomel, so dropped back to 5 mcg cytomel and switched to generic; then up to 88 mcg levo, staying with 5 mcg generic cytomel. Am currently on 100 mcg Tirosint and 5 mcg generic cytomel. I take the Tirosint first thing in the morning, per instructions (my day starts 3:30 am). I take my T3 med about 7-7:30 am.

s fairly rare for somone to be on Cytomel only. Usually a small dose of Cytomel is added to the Synthroid, which may have to be reduced to accomodate the Cytomel. Cytomel (T3) is very fast-acting, so it has to be taken several times throughout the day if taken by itself. This leads to intra-day ups and downs in hormone levels. Do you have the results of your latest lab tests (FT3, FT4 and TSH) and their reference ranges?

My insurance provides the Ameda double electric. Online it seems to have about the same ratings as Medela, but only this "hospital grade" model. If you're buying non "hospital grade" I've read the best ratings is Medela. Also, 3 co-workers gave birth in the last 6 months all went with Medela and loved theirs.
