Cytomel t3 cycle

Common Questions and Answers about Cytomel t3 cycle

cytomel

458072 tn?1291415186 Cytomel is a T3 - the only way this would benefit you would be if your T3 is low and need to get that level up. Low T3 could cause anxiety but you need to know your thyroid blood panel to really see if you need it. Cytomel is not really a med to control anxiety. Xanax is the most given or a generic.
Avatar m tn Can clenbuterol be taken at the same time as cytomel (t3), or does it have to rotated. Each drug rotated on a two week on, two week off cycle?
Avatar n tn I am now two months without a cycle, prior to that I had a cycle, two weeks, cycle, two weeks, cycle. Believe it or not, I have been going through this balancing act for about five years after a battle with Graves/Hoshimotos that I couldn't win...had to have my thyroid removed. I have been to numerous doctors and at one point was on 75 synthroid and 30 cytomel, but was so sick. That is when they switched me to Tirosint and reduced my cytomel.
Avatar n tn If you have a T3 med only- you can function well . It is a short lived hormone and depletes quickly. I also read and was told recently by my endo with T3 meds it sometimes can suppress normal thyroid function. The thyroid - in a way gets lazy- when T3 meds are taken and then decides to sit back and let the med work instead of itself.
988694 tn?1332359479 Does anybody know a T3 only medicine without fillers? I was added Cytomel and my NT was reduced to 2 grains due to RT3. So far feeling awful, but I am more concern, despite all the pain and discomfort I am in, about Cytomel causing me allergies. My nose is itching and I have been sneezing. I had a similar episode a couple of years ago and I quit it. I cannot do compound pharmacy since I have to travel and it is too much trouble. Any idea about an existent hypoallergenic T3 only medicine?
Avatar f tn been on cytomel 1month. tsh gone down to .27, t3 2.9, t4 1.23, reverse t3 13.5. should i go down to 75 mcg synthroid or stay at 88. i feel good!
1406230 tn?1281202564 TSH FREE T4 FREE T3 - Not total T3 Hormone balance is very tricky and complicated. But it seems odd to me that low Progesterone would be treated with a T3 med of Cytomel. And a rather large dose of that as well??? I have actually heard of several others who's sex hormones were stabilized by first stabilizing Thyroid to the correct levels. Seems like your Dr is approaching it from the exact opposite way. maybe it will work???
Avatar f tn It will take a while, like one or two months to flush out the excess t3 pooling in your blood. You can either use Cytomel or Liothyronine ( pure form of T3 which you can find in compound pharmacy) I wouldn't suggest you to get on to synthroid until you fix the RT3 problem. There should be a reason why you have RT3, you need to find it out. Have your doctor check your - iron -ferrittin ( for me ferittin was low when I had the problem) -Cortisol http://www.
Avatar f tn t have hyper symptoms? Would there be another reason for the high T3? Is it good judgement to prescribe cytomel with armour thyroid? I am not taking cytomel, but it was recommended by another physician in the past. Would taking iron supplements help absorption of T3. Thank you.
545991 tn?1214437112 You mention weight as an issue and fact is - that taking a T3 Cytomel- or Armour SHOULD help with that if you are not having a RT3 issue. If you are not seeing some decrease at all - AS I - it doesn't hurt to have RT3 labs. Your low Free T3 could indicate a RT3 issue. especially if you are on cytomel. The connection with RT3 is Lepitin - a metobolism hormone - so if you are storing your Free T3's in RT3 components, we can pump any amount of T3 in us and still gain weight!
Avatar m tn What do you all think? Is it ok that I am taking so much Cytomel? He said that my free t3 was so low that he has plenty of room to add to it. I'm still sitting on the couch any downtime I have unless there's a pressing responsibility.
Avatar f tn Initally - going on a T3 med - Cytomel in addition to the Synthroid - you will feel great - then crash. This applies to natural thyroid combo meds too. T3 hormone is direct - which means your body accepts it immediately. You expressed you felt aweful prior to starting Cytomel - so that says you were hypothyroid and wanted direct T3. Well, you gave the body - what it needed - but it wants more. This is proven on your FT3 lab - the only thing is this is an old lab so one can only assume.
Avatar f tn 2 mg levothroxine but recently my doc. added 25 mcg of cytomel. My T3 levels went extremely high and TSH less then 0.5. I have been extemely ill - headaches, chills, sweats, light head, dizzy, naseau, anxiety. My doc has stopped the cytomel. My questions are: 1. How long does it take for the thryoid levels to return back to where they were. And how long do these symptoms last. 2. Was 25 mcg of cytomel a normal amount to add to 0.2 mg of levothroxine..
Avatar n tn 9, he decided to change my synthroid to 100 much and added Cytomel 5mcg twice a day. I’m not familiar with Cytomel, will the addition of this medicine compensate reducing my synthroid? Will it help with my Simptoms? Thank you!
Avatar f tn If your Free T4 level is high and your Free T3 level is low, you may have a conversion issue. If you are tested and this is the case, your doc "should" perscribe T3 (Cytomel). I say "should" because in general a T3 test doesn't always get run and lots of docs just aren't as up on it as they should be. Also, conversion issues are not all that common.
Avatar f tn That could have been due to an inadequate dose, or that you were not adequately converting the T4 med to T3. Now you are taking only a T3 med, Cytomel, which is not normally recommended unless it is to resolve an unusual problem, excess Reverse T3. Your Reverse T3 is middle of the range, so I'm not sure why you are taking only T3 med. At any rate your Free T3 and Free T4 are both too low in the range. This frequently results in hypo symptoms, such as yours.
Avatar n tn I am on 3 grains of armour, which amounts to 27 mcg of T3 (9 mcg per grain). Before switching I was taking 15 mcg on T3 (cytomel). So theoretically, despite the fact that my body has to convert the T4 to T3, then shouldn't I be getting that same type of readily available T3 in the naturethroid aside from the T4 it has in it? Does the T4 block the T3 from working somehow? Or is it the time release? It seems like I should be bouncing off the walls with all of the T3 in the naturethroid.
Avatar f tn Trail and error asTamra said. And really - hats off to your doctor lowering the T4 while trying this new script T3 Cytomel. It better to work up slow than to push too much in and I am happy to hear your doctor is playing that safe w/ you. You may find taking the T3 med around 10 or 11 is best for you.
