Common Questions and Answers about Cytomel king pharmaceuticals

cytomel

Avatar n tn I decided to make the switch back to Levoxyl when it came back on the market in early February. Synthroid made me feel so anxious and gave me other sides affects. So when it was available and I thought switching back I'd feel better than I do. I did just add the Cytomel in December and I think I can see that my headaches have been worse too. Previously taking Synthroid 75 - 5 days a week and 88 2 days a week. Also split a 5 mcg Cytomel in two doses taking 1/2 in AM and 1/2 at lunch.
Avatar f tn Preferably in small doses taken every few hours. My recollection is that King Pharrmaceuticals makes Cytomel, you can check on the ingredients at kingpharm.com .
Avatar f tn That is a very large dose for anyone, and is HUGE for someone whose blood levels of available hormones are not being monitored through Free T testing. Even on the King Pharmaceuticals website, under Cytomel, the manufacturers suggest raising the dose of the medication 5 mcg at a time after 25 mcg until proper blood levels are reached and symptoms abate. You may want to read that information online. Just as an example, the manufacturer recommends a 200 mcg.
Avatar f tn I believe your RLS may be related to the Cytomel you are taking. I had my thyroid ablated for Graves in 2005, and utilized every possible dose of synthetic LevoT4 from 25 mcg to 125 mcg in the stabilizing/therapeutic process, with no neurological side effects. I talked my Dr. into letting me go on T4/T3 therapy about a 15 mos. ago (at a similar dosage to the T4 alone), and I started getting nighttime RLS about 10 mos. ago.

It's either 'fess up with $190 or take the generic. I didn't want to do that, but I didn't really have much of a choice, so I took the generic. All was well until Day 7, and I started having some old familiar internal tremor/vibes and my ankles and feel started swelling.
Avatar m tn IDIX), Merck (NYSE: MRK) and Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:VRTX). For now, Gilead is still King of the Hill. The company has an 800-patient trial underway, and it's possible results of that study could be reported at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases' annual meeting next month in Boston. If that happens, we might see Gilead apply for FDA approval as soon as the middle of 2014.
1369218 tn?1282423884 Free T3 264 (230-420) Free T4 1.41 (.89-1.76) TSH 0.60 (.32-5) My T3 still remains low, but I really do not have too many symtpoms. My main complaint is that I cannot lose weight. I have 40 lbs to lose and no matter what I eat, it sticks to my gut. I also have thinning eyebrows and dry skin. I do not feel achey at all though on this dose. I am sleeping better too because the higher the T3 I took I had horrible anxiety and insomnia.
Avatar m tn There are pharmaceuticals used to treat Psoriasis, but these involve suppressing the immune system to help with the body attacking its own skin. These are still experimental or at least relatively new pharmaceuticals. I don't have Psoriasis myself, so I don't know much about the pharmaceuticals for it. I do see commercials for one that has been promoted, but I hate to say anything about it, since I've never used it.

Avatar m tn And, I tend to avoid pharmaceuticals as much as possible. Many pharmaceuticals cause more harm than good. Have you tried things like digestive enzymes? That's the only natural suggestion I can think of right off hand. You might want to try posting your question in Complimentary Medicine. Some of the people there are very knowledgeable about these things.

Avatar m tn I just had my TT yesterday and am at home resting comfortably (and enjoying the wonders of modern pharmaceuticals). My Endo told me that my Synthroid dosage will likely start out at 125, but they prescribed 25 mg of Cytomel taken twice a day, which I started today. Cytomel is more fast acting and leaves the system faster, which is why I think they prescribed it.
