Cymbalta and Remeron are often prescribed together. I am assuming that the same prescriber wrote for both( based on your statement of "doctor has added Cymbalta to the mix". The manufacturer does state that steady-state dosing does occur in about 3 days. So my suggestion to you would be to contact your prescriber. This is the not the combination of drugs for your system. I have been on Remeron for a few months and it has really helped with my anxiety. Recently my Doctor added cymbalta for nerve pain. This is only my third day with the cymbalta and my anxiety level is shooting through the roof. Also I have this dang ringing in my ears that does not want to go away. I questioned my doctor about taking remeron and cymbalta together and asured me that they work great together. I honestly don't know if I can stand this feeling.

I don't have a good Dr. I do take Magnesium, on 100 mg Lyrica twice a day. Topamax had overdose and how petrified of it, pharmacist error started me on 200 mg then went up to 400 mg instead of 50. Very bad results. Use to be on Neurontin but didn't help with he burning I have. Had problems with Cymbalta when I originally tried it but everyone is telling me how much better I'm doing. I can't tell what should be happening or what is side effects.

Mirtazapine (Remeron) is sedating, cause wight gain (increases your appetite). So far I can't say it has effect on sex drive. I take both Wellbutrin and mirtazapine. Side-effects i get from mirtazapine: -hypersomnia -drowsiness/sedation -severe constipation -vivid dreams -lethargy Side-effects I get from Wellbutrin -Increased libido -increased energy I am stopping mirtazapine.

Remeron has been associated with increased appetite and weight gain. Some antidepressants that causes less weight again include Wellbutrin, Celexa, and Trazodone.

As you probably know, there are relatively fewer problems with Remeron withdrawal than with other agents (especially paroxetine and venlafaxine) but that knowledge doesn't help you. Also, there are other depression medications that work with fewer side effects. Talk to your doctor if you still need help with that Remeron with Wellbutrin is a combination that has few sexual side effects and works pretty well that I've read about. So if im on oxys, and i go on suboxone, i can take cymbalta safely and it will help with withdrawls and depression?

Cymbalta is a more stimulating drug than ssris, so maybe you will not have this problem as much with it. Remeron, or your mirtazapine, is the most weight gaining of all medications out there, and is actually sometimes given to geriatric patients who won't eat because it causes most people to want to eat constantly. Not a good one for a weight gainer. If you're not an anxiety sufferer but just a depression sufferer, you might want to look into wellbutrin. Good luck.

Some antidepressants will make you eat more also, as I am finding out abt. Cymbalta and Remeron and Neurotin. I used to weigh 94 lbs. one year ago. Now, I am abt 117 or 118 lbs, and trying to say under 120 lbs !!!

im so upset, my dr put me on abilify in september with my effexor, my libido got very low and i wasnt able to come, now the dr is taking me off effexor and abilify and put me on celexa...now my libdo is completely gone and i cant come at all....it was the only thing i had left i was able to enjoy, i could always get in the mood and able to come fast and at least 2 times, now it just hurts and i dont want to do it....is this from the celexa?

Note that some people reported a lack of energy too. Lexapro is not a bad choice either since it's the second on my list and first on many doctor's list and studies are saying that overall, Lexapro and Cymbalta showed the best results. You must know that one size does not fit all concerning drugs.

You do know all that of course, I also take Cymbalta, 60 mg morning and night, along with remeron to help with sleep. There are tons of good ones out there and I dont remember hearing that having a heart murmur matters. I take remeron and wellbutrin, but I have also heard some positive info about cymbalta. Just remember that if one doesnt work try anohter, one pill doesnt work for everyone. Usually you can see a difference in as little as 2 weeks but could be 4 or 6.

Did the benzo's help? Were you taking them as-needed, or on a schedule?

m confused.......is your doctor giving you Suboxone with Oxocodone ? As far as the Cymbalta It is very effective on depression and pain. The only thing is you need to taper off it or you will feel sick. It's great that your doctor is helping you get off the Oxy just don't let him load you up on too many other meds. It's too easy to swap addictions.

Happy Holidays..been off here a while. I went with Cymbalta, 15mg then it goes to 60mg. Don't remember how effective it was before but I have to start someplace. I think it's 2-4 weeks for full effect on most anyway?

I have had a CAT scan, Barium Swallow XRays, Stomach Scope, Colonoscopy, blood tests, Celiac test, allergy testing, everything comes back normal other than allergies, I am allergic to alot of outdoor stuff nothing unusual. They have me on Remeron to help with nausea and sleep and Klonopin for anxiety. I get very tired during the day, probably from not sleeping well and this just wearing on me but I don't know.

For the energy issue I would suggest you talk to your doctor about trying an SNRI like Effexor or Cymbalta. Those meds affect your norepinephrine, also know as noradrenaline, you can know understand what I'm referring to an energy boost.

I take 30 mg. of mirtazapine (Remeron) with 50 mg. Lamactil. I also take xanax in a low dose (currently weaning off), and use Ambien 10 mg. for sleep. (which I am also going to wean off of.) Overall, they are effective, but mirtazapine has appetite issues (you always want to snack so you have to really watch weight - already gained about 15 lbs. in 1 yr.).
