Will it affect my future plan of having a healthy pregnancy? Also, i was told if i do want to get pregnant, i should wait 6 months after taking the birth control pills. is that true?
Just curious, if the ultrasound for an ovarian cyst comes back positive do you know if there is anything that they can do to stop the bladder pressure/frequent urination? Have you talked with your GYN or urologist about what (if any) treatments exist for the cysts? Thanks.
Lithium does not cause cognitive blunting (its a non psychoactive drug) and yes it has a long list of side effects - its been around since 1849 and in use for mental illness treatment since 1949 but when you did into the side effects the incidence of severe ones is very small - the most common side effects for lithium are bringing on incipient thyroid problems, dry mouth, increased thirst and muscle tremors.
These, I think you will have to agree, are pretty devastating side effects for a single drug to have. When you get your antidepressant dispensed to you by your friendly Community Pharmacist there will be, tucked inside the box, a Patient Information Leaflet. This is an EU or FDA generated document that is supposed to mean something. It is supposed to impart at least some useful information. Let’s look at it for Prozac then, the most popular antidepressant of them all.
Hi there. Side effects of metanx are drowsiness, feeling of swelling of entire body, numbness or tingling, severe allergic reactions like hives. cymbalta or duloxetine has effects like nausea, upper stomach pain, loss of appetite, jaundice. You may feel like you will pass out, hallucinations, tachycardia or tremors. Breathing problems, loss of coordination, difficult urination etc few effects can be attributed to these drugs.
Namaste, Eccesive sweating is not one of the know side effects of Lamictal, although that doesn't mean that that is not the cause of your problem. If this is bothersome to you, and it appears to be, I would schedule a complete physical with your GP to edliminate any physical cause(s) for this condition.
My first thought is severe side effects from the cymbalta. What is the relation between when these symptoms started up and when the cymbalta was started? Or it could be with the use of any other drugs even OTC especially for cold, coughs or allergies. Cymbalta has a bad enough side effects list but depending on what else you take it could effect that or even caffeine and a lot more things have caffeine in them than you think.
Causing neck pain, then migranes. I was not told of the side effects, mine was no climax or ejaculation. After going for it and discovering this problem. The next day 70% of my penis was black and swallon. I saw my Doctor, he put it down to the side effect of Symbalta. I was leaving for holliday. Now off the cymbalta and on antibiotics, I wnnt interstate. Another Doctor while on holliday agreed with my Doctor. I was then to allow the swelling go down for 2 weeks, then follow up.
No joint pains or headaches No flulike symptoms No eye redness or visual symptoms No surgery or instrumentation No weakness Palpable nodes occurred in the abdomen about 6 weeks after the start The condition responded extremely well to Cymbalta. However, I will cease using it due to sexual side-effects that started to occur.
for anyone thinking about the nuvigil, my personal immediate side effects list- increased frequency of urination (i can't stop going!) and a searing headache that lasted about 45 minutes. otherwise, i seem to be alright. and looking at this now, i can't believe i want to keep putting it in to my body. that's how awful fatigue and- what do y'all call it?- cog fog are. i can't wait to see the mri. do you often hear of relapses being so close together, though?
I need something with very little side effects. I was on Xanax for just a few days and did not have any serious side effects other than wanting to sleep all day, but no heart racing or added panic. I stop this medication cuz I did not want to spend the day sleeping. If Kolnapin would be a good choice how would I go about starting it since I'm on the Gabapentin? Could I safely start on this while weaning off the Gabapentin?
I have had a clear EMG as well. Dr. was looking for MS, but does not think I have it. I am presently being treated with cymbalta, and Dr. thinks it is a post viral syndrome causing nerve pain, even though I didn't have any sickness last year. I have been very calm with that diagnosis. Both brother and sister-in-law are Neurologists as well, and while confused by symptoms as well, they agree with my Neuro. on course of treatment. He says to wait it out, could take a year or more.
I tried many things for pain that simply did not work at all end or the side effects very disturbing. Just after Christmas my Dad brought me to his place in Florida hoping that the warmth, change etc. would help. While there a met a Dr. who also stayed in the same complex for the winter and was an aquaintance of my Father's. A very long story short, he helpled my prescribing me Oxy Contin. Within a few weeks, the pain was managed very well and I became my old self again.
I've tried 3 different non HRT prescriptions (clonidin, Effexor, Cymbalta) and the side-effects are not worth the relief from the symptons. Has your doctor said anything about going on estrogen replacement? Mine is reluctant because she said it could cause endo to re-occur elsewhere in my body. are you having any menopause symptoms?
If any of you have tried this medicine, how long did it take to take effect? What type of side effects did you experience? I am feeling very hopeless and desperate at this point because my level of despondency is worse than ever before.
Side Effects of Lithium - for the Consumer Lithium All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Lithium: Drying or thinning of the hair; hair loss; mild hand tremor; mild loss of appetite; mild thirst; mild tiredness; temporary, mild nausea and general discomfort at the beginning of treatment.
I have been on it for a bit, slowly have gone up to 300 mg, slowly been having the wonderful weightloss side effect, but all my other side effects are oppisite of what is stated as what are probable side effects. Ok, no, I have not had any hairloss. As a matter of fact, if anything, it has been making my hair grow faster, and of that I am thankful, for I have had some mighty funky hair cuts this year. lol.
Although hormone-replacement trials have yielded some positive results (at least in the short term), it is clear that negative side effects can also occur in the form of increased risk for cancer, cardiovascular disease, and behavior changes." "The product's leading promoter has been G. Gordon Liddy, the former Watergate conspirator who served five years in prison and now hosts a talk show syndicated to 160 radio stations." I also took Gabapentin and it did not help. I tried the Mucinex thing, and went to fibro and fitigue clinic where I spent thousands on their test and treatments. I've done all kinds of physical therapy. Like, everyone else, I've read every book I could lay my hands on. I even went to a fibro symposium in 2007 in California put on by the National Fibro Organization that was packed with info. I've been on every kind of herbal combination imaginable.
Current treatments include corticosteroids (prednisone), IVIG, Plasma pheresis (also called plasma excahnge), and cyclophosamide. Corticosteroids have the side effects of immune suppression, weight gain, skin problems and osteoporosis that limits their long term use. IVIG is generally well tolerated, but some people can have reactions including fever, shakes, allergic reactions and rarely thrombo-embolic events.
, I want to have kids, but the way I am as of now I would be afraid to be alone with them and be responsible for their care if I'm freakin' out all the time...so the doc. has perscribes Buspar for me and I read up on the side effects and let me tell you it can be writtin' a page long!!! I'm scared!!!!! WHAT DO I DO???
subsided, but I had to stop the treatment due to side-effects. Since then the symptoms have been diminished. However, I still have uncomfortable burning pain. Oh well... DallasFan.... This was a one time rash followed by months of discomfort. The rash may be unrelated.
( I will consult with a urologist and a different neurologist. Your suggestion above regarding cycling is a new angle to explore. Thank you!
Well I took 1 or 2 pills of wellbutrin and didn't like the side effects (i think the side effects was actually just the stress), Anyway I didn't take any medication and dec passed then jan passed and they all just went away. A year goes by, no problems then I started a 3 month study program to promote within the police department. It was/is a very stressful process and not one someone with a stress or anxiety problem should even think of attempting.
First I had the fear of cancer, but now it's diabetes. im always so paranoid and just because I have frequent urination Im all worried thinking I have it. And to top it off I've had burning sensations in my legs today for no apparent reason. It just feels like sunburn and I look at it and it's not scratcher or anything! Then I go back and think OMG this could be a sign of diabetes..so of course I get freaked out all over again.
according to my neurologist. I'll start Copaxone soon. I chose it due to it having relatively fewer side effects than others. ?? I had symptoms long before diagnosis - 1/2 face burning - Paresthesias - shooting pains - numbness and pins and needles - dizzy spells - loss of balance w/ falls. Now I'm having several memory and cognitive problems. I could use some support, as I'm already so ill, I wouldn't have dreamed I could have yet another serious illness!
for me, due to the side effects of them they were not options for me. The high heart rate is annoying and worrisome at times, but it's not dangerous to have.
I am just hopeing that one of you can help me with some symptoms you might have. I had numbness on the right side of my face, and weakness on my right side weakness in my arm and legs, I was really dizzy, just felt like i was drunk, and now that I am home I sometimes get this feeling in my leg like I can't move it like it is heavy. Does anyone get things like this happening? And it's really weird to cause the Neuro said that what he was seening on the MRI was all on the right side of my brain.
