Attention anyone taking Cymbalta...PLEASE read about the side effects and the horrible withdrawl symptoms. It turned me into a zoombie then it took over a year to withdraw from. It is worse than anything I have ever experienced in my whole life. I am not going to be a guinea pig for any more of these new drugs, I'll just stick with vicodin.

I took Cymbalta to treat panic disorder. The pain side of it is usually used to treat diabetic neuropathy, if I am not mistaken it helps with anxiety related pain such as headaches and muscle spasms caused by tension. The package insert does warn that Cymbalta can cause arrhythmias. While I was on it I had a 24 hour holter. The results were really bad and I told my cardio then that I was on Cymbalta.
We're all lab rats! Yep, cymbalta and lyrica together worked great for me, other than the Lyrica side effect of weight gain, coupled with sudden onset hypertension- I had to come off of it :( But it seriously reduced my pain by like 80%. Good luck!
Cheri was worry because of possible liver damage, but I started telling Debi about the urine flow or lack of it and this other stuff, so she also found the site for side effects for the Cymbalta... I also know I have to watch not to drink too much water because of the Lack of sodium in my diet. Always such a fine line we have to walk.. Is there any one else using Cymbalta for deep nerve pain? This is such a double edge sword, and feels so unfair...

Has anyone had long term side effects from Wellbutrin or Zyban? I have had long term neurological problems that seemed to be triggered by a reaction to wellbutrin. I was wondering if others have experienced any problems from either of these drugs. Please contact me and let me know. There are a number of cases where additional side effects came along after a drug was approved, those side effects were reported by patients and doctors alike and the drug companies did nothing. Those same drug companies were then fined for knowingly putting the public at risk when additional information came to light about potentially harmful aspects of drugs on the market.
I have fibro and OA. I do have swelling in hand, feet & legs although mine lasts all day. Dr. said it was the Lyrica side effects (also side effects of Avandament.) He said to just prop up legs to rest them til swelling eased and hot water soaks for hands. Good Luck with this.

I was angry because he didn't tell me that some people (rare) never get over the side effects. In fact he told me the side effects would terminate after treatment-wish I would have recorded that. Good luck.
My internal gave me some Lunesta to try, and I have been very scared to take it for fear of weird side effects that I might have, but I broke down and took it last night just to see if it would help me, in which it kind of did. I didn't get to good sleep until about 2AM and I took it around 9PM. But I am going to try to take it over the next few days to see if it will work better as I go. Hi Sarah! Thank you so much! Looking forward to talking and sharing!
So, next I went to a health food store and bought a natuaral diuretic and I used those tight stockings, both of which did nothing, the swelling continued, actually I think the swelling got worse. This swelling, I might add, just came out of no where. 1st my feet began to hurt real bad, like I had been standing for 3 days or something, but I hadn't, then suddenly they swelled up like balloons.

Hi there. Side effects of metanx are drowsiness, feeling of swelling of entire body, numbness or tingling, severe allergic reactions like hives. cymbalta or duloxetine has effects like nausea, upper stomach pain, loss of appetite, jaundice. You may feel like you will pass out, hallucinations, tachycardia or tremors. Breathing problems, loss of coordination, difficult urination etc few effects can be attributed to these drugs.
Sensation (not visible) of hand swelling and stiffness. Fatigue. Hot flashes. Dizzy/drugged feeling and head pressure (could be side effects of fibromyalgia medications -- Lyrica and Cymbalta). This may be unrelated, but I also have had three unexplained episodes of sudden severe dizziness with the sensation of icy-hot on my scalp, neck and arms, that last anywhere from an hour to twelve hours and have been severe enough to warrant an ambulance trip to the hospital.
Not having a thyroid its so easy to put on weight and have 26 other meds I take for RSDS, migranes, stomach, thyroid replacement that the side effects from them cause swelling, weight gain and other horrible effects. So I've been on Cymbalta for 2 months. After getting through the initial side effects of nausea, eye focus trouble, feeling woosy, I now have sore throat off and on, ear pain pressure, and trouble swallowing. I get strangled quite often while drinking. Vocal chord strain.I thought it was just sinus drainage trouble but I don't think so now. On top of all this, I have morning hot flashes, night sweats, extremely uncomfortable overheating and sweating with any exertion which I NEVER did before.

Is there any reason for all my symptoms? Are they side effects from the drugs? Is there anything else I could be doing - not doing? I would like to golf and enjoy the summer without constant pain, swelling and tender hands.
I'm on 60 mg Cymbalta for pain, 100 mg Lyrica, 30 mg Remeron for sleep but also take a sleeping pill. The ringing is so bad in the night and in the morning think it makes the pain worse. Also on 2 1/2 mg Ativan but have been trying to come off it as the anxiety is much less. I did quit smoking and have started again but not very much. None of the Dr's can explain.
Good morning; I tried Lyrica and the side effects were too much for me. Although there are a lot of people that can tolerate the Lyrica and they do say that it has helped a lot. I started Savella 3 days ago and so far I haven't had any side effects at all. So I really feel positive about it. Hang around for a while and someone who is taking Lyrica will leave a reply.
Causing neck pain, then migranes. I was not told of the side effects, mine was no climax or ejaculation. After going for it and discovering this problem. The next day 70% of my penis was black and swallon. I saw my Doctor, he put it down to the side effect of Symbalta. I was leaving for holliday. Now off the cymbalta and on antibiotics, I wnnt interstate. Another Doctor while on holliday agreed with my Doctor. I was then to allow the swelling go down for 2 weeks, then follow up.
Most of the side effects are common to the drug type and Seroquel has less it seems than some like Risperdal and Geodon to name but 2 with bad reps for side effects. All in all it works wonders for me, I feel normal and the side effects are not serious and come and go, I take it with Lithium and Abilify and it seems to work well, just make sure you read the information statement - you can find one here : http://www.drugs.com/seroquel.html Hope that helps in some way.
