Common Questions and Answers about Cymbalta side effects sweating

cymbalta

Avatar m tn Namaste, Eccesive sweating is not one of the know side effects of Lamictal, although that doesn't mean that that is not the cause of your problem. If this is bothersome to you, and it appears to be, I would schedule a complete physical with your GP to edliminate any physical cause(s) for this condition.

Avatar f tn Hi, I have suffered with migraines for many years & was placed on prophylactic meds-Cymbalta & Propranolol. About 3 months ago I developed Trigeminal Neuritis on my R side. I have to say it was the most painful affliction I ever experienced, even worse than the 2 spinal fusions I underwent! I was placed on Trileptal & am up to 600mg 2x/day, as well as continuing with Cymbalta & Propranolol.
Avatar m tn Only took Cymbalta for 3 months but had side effects of being off balance lightheaded feeling like I am walking in a boat now I being taken off the drug and having nightmares the sweats headaches anyone had this experience with this drug?
Avatar n tn I'm curious if anyone has any new information. I too have excessive sweating and do take cymbalta. However, the sweatng didn't start until I stopped cymbalta for a month, and because the side effects of withdrawal were so horrible, I went back on cymbalta. It's been four months I've been back on it and still have the sweats.
5082295 tn?1371250911 the most severe side effects that we cant just ride them out..if it were like sweating weird dreams etc. he said we could continue trying it out. So we will see..i see him in like a week or so..so hoping we can figure something out. I've always been up for trying new meds & trust my doc & so far things have been great..but I am sensitive to side effects of meds but normally I can make it thru. So its hit or miss.
Avatar m tn This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088. http://www.drugs.com/cymbalta.html Let us know what the doc says!
Avatar f tn Hi, My doctor decided to switch me from Well-Butrin XL (300mg) to Cymbolta (60mg) earlier in the week. I took my first one Tuesday night and woke up several hours later with extreme nausea. He also mentioned that I might have a swimming feeling. Well, the nausea was so severe that I decided to take a phenergan (spl?). That helped out tons and I slept most of yesterday but today I've got medicine head, sweating and a very decreased appetite today. And I really didn't eat much yesterday.
Avatar f tn I would say to give the meds a little more time to work, they say it can sometimes take up to 4 weeks. If you get to whre you just cant handle the side effects I would contact your doctor. Maybe she could give you some herbal remedies to try.
Avatar n tn I had sweating with Effexor and Cymbalta. It's not just the discomfort; you don't want to add sweating if you already have oily skin - breakouts. I think Prozac caused it, but I'm not sure. I'm currently getting by with a very low dose of amitriptyline. Not a lot of sweating with it, but it can cause weight gain and constipation. I need to gain weight right now, so it's okay.
Avatar f tn After seeing my doctor lately, she has decided to take me off my Cymbalta. I've been on it for 3 years with no change in my depression. What I'm wondering about are the withdrawals that I think I've been experiencing. The doctor also has put me on Paxil while weaning me off the Cymbalta. The symptoms I've had are mostly being very shaky; so much so that it's hard to hold a spoon because I'm shaking that badly. Is this normal and will it go away?
Avatar n tn I decided to wean myself off of the medication because of similar side effects (yes, I did see my doctor first, but she was no help at all). After going down 20 mg for two days, I was a basket case. Constant brain zaps, feeling that my entire brain was bruised, severe body aches, increased anxiety and worst of all severe agitation/aggression (which is not at all like me). After two days of that hell, I went back to my usual dose of 60 mg.
Business woman1 I was removed off of saphris last october, and was put on wellbutrin 150mg and had a TERRIBLE reaction to it. now think I am experiencing side effects that (in my opinion) appear to look like adrenal problems (fatigue, unneccesary anxiety, muscle spasms/twitching, problems walkng, craving sugars etc.
Avatar n tn Attention anyone taking Cymbalta...PLEASE read about the side effects and the horrible withdrawl symptoms. It turned me into a zoombie then it took over a year to withdraw from. It is worse than anything I have ever experienced in my whole life. I am not going to be a guinea pig for any more of these new drugs, I'll just stick with vicodin.
1286779 tn?1400012806 She went to a doctor yesterday about her hair and the doctor told her that it was because of this medication (Lydrica) But I have seen all side effects and none talk about hair lost. And my mother does not want to leave this medication because its the only one that works for her burning feet. Has anybody else expirence hair loss with Lydrica? She also takes Cymbalta 60mg,lyrica 75mg, Nexuim 40mg, and Tramabol 50mg. What do you all suggest she get tested for ?
407790 tn?1397761026 My doctor just put me on Abilify, which I'm not very happy about considering the side effects. However, I have treatment-resistant depression so I'm running out of options. I will be taking a very low dose, though: 2.5 mg. Does anyone know if you're less likely to get side effects if you're on a low dose? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
1218873 tn?1300091216 Like many drugs Cymbalta has side effects that take a while to fade away. I think the nausea is one thing that will disappear. The insomnia is another story. Some people have it and it sticks around. You may need to take careful notice and record when you feel sleepy or drugged or awake or even shakey in relation to the timing of the Cymbalta.
Avatar m tn Well, sweating is listed as an uncommon side effect of Wellbutrin - http://www.crazymeds.us/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Meds/Wellbutrin I could find no mention of sweating as a side effect for Strattera (doesn't mean it might not happen, but nobody bothered to mention it) - http://www.rxlist.com/strattera-side-effects-drug-center.htm So its possible its the Wellbutrin that is the problem. But be careful, this is a med that you want to read the info on stopping it.
Avatar f tn ve been on Cymbalta for 2 months. After getting through the initial side effects of nausea, eye focus trouble, feeling woosy, I now have sore throat off and on, ear pain pressure, and trouble swallowing. I get strangled quite often while drinking. Vocal chord strain.I thought it was just sinus drainage trouble but I don't think so now. On top of all this, I have morning hot flashes, night sweats, extremely uncomfortable overheating and sweating with any exertion which I NEVER did before.

Avatar f tn However I had relatives who were on cymbalta, they experience side effects, both good and bad, including fainting. So If you are experience effects from it, work with your doctor on titrating down the dosage just to be safe.
Avatar f tn i am on cymbalta...no side effects until my doctor upped my dose, but just extreme tiredness, so i lowered my dose back to 60 mgs....usually the brain zaps are when you suddenly stop taking it, any antidepressant can cause this when abruptly stopped....but everyone is different. are you experiencing any side effects from it now?

Avatar f tn I was on Savella and could not wait to get off! Gave me no relief, but instead I had terrible side effects. I was increased up to 100 mg twice a day, the max dose, trying to get some relief and I was put into a Seratonin Storm. High Blood Pressure and Heart Rate and I was sweating buckets and buckets. My heart rate was running 168 BPM. I had to gradually get off of it and had withdrawls. I was soo miserable! Never Ever will I take it again.
