1166402 tn?1303847056 My side-effects from Remeron is sore mouth when I wake up, lethargy, hypersomnia and severe constipation. On Cymbalta I had no side-effect. Switching back to Cymbalta ASAP.
646410 tn?1247251853 If part of the problem is extreme lethargy, how do they expect me to get out of the house earlier than I absolutely have to? Self-talk, breathing techniques & going away only help for just a little while before the anger & depression creep back up again. I'm hoping to make it in tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Avatar f tn That is when the lethargy and the guilt and the weird sleeping all got worse and worse. I told my psychiatrist, but he said I “seem fine” and that if I can go to work more days than not, that’s good. I am missing work, not able to get things done, and the helplessness of it is starting to make me feel crazy. I am terrified that I’m going to lose my job, I hate going to bed at night because I don’t know if I am going to be able to get up in the morning, and I feel miserable.
Avatar m tn She tapered down the dosage for the first month and has suffered for over two months with debilitating withdrawal symptoms - extreme and constant naseau, lethargy, diziness etc. Her OCD is back in full swing again now but we can't go back to Effexor knowing what we no know about it. We'd really appreciate some good advice on known medications for effective treatment of mild OCD?

Avatar n tn I spend a fair amount of time curled into a fetal position in bed. The aches I can take; it is the extreme lethargy and malaise. I have been following the thomas recipe and trying to do a little exercise (does walking slow for 15 minutes on a treadmill count?) Can someone tell me if the lethargy is normal and how long it will last? as in days?
712802 tn?1274645485 re taking a more sedating SSRI (which CYMBALTA might actually be) then your lethargy and fatigue symptoms do not surprise me. I take CELEXA , another SSRI, and I get fatigue from it. I don't know much about ABILIFY, just what I've read. If I were you, I'd call my Doc and let him/her know of your reaction to the combo you're on. It could be that your meds need to be re-adjusted OR maybe you need something else?
Avatar f tn Looks like your depression is causing lethargy and you want a boost in mood and energy. If Wellbutrin is not doing the trick I suggest a SNRI like Cymbalta or maybe Effexor. Those can also be combined with Wellbutrin to maximize the energy boost. Also if you haven't tried Wellbutrin 300mg maybe this only could gives you energy. Anyway those are all things you can check out with your doctor.
Avatar f tn my tx dr put me on sertraline 4 months into tx, and ativan .5mg when i needed it. the ativan is the one that knocked me out. i am thinking your dr gave you the ativan to help you thru the 1st 2 weeks of sertraline because of the anxiety it can cause. after 2 weeks the sertraline kicked in and i was calm. i rarely took ativan after the ssri kicked in. when you stop the incivek, hopefully things will get better. 1 week after incivek my only side was anemia and fatigue.

I get a new therapist on the 10 th.. all they do is send me to the hospitals even when I'm not sucidal..
Avatar n tn In May, my doctor prescribed 20mg of adderall (amphetamines) to take each morning to help fight the fatigue, lethargy and lack of motivation. It had worked very well for a while -- I was able to work regularly and very effectively. Lately, things are different. I've hardly had the energy to work and I've missed a lot of time over the last few weeks.
Avatar n tn But I now seem stuck with this lethargy that is kicking my booty. Is this normal and will it lift? I apologize for being quiet last few days; I haven't had the energy to type. Sometimes, for a couple of hours here or there, I will feel semi-energetic, but usually I feel sooooooo tired. I have typed this with one finger, I apologize if I sound illiterate...
Avatar m tn My question is that for the past 3 or so years I have been taking Cymbalta for Fibro....which has been helpful. Then last year I started getting weird symptoms...My heart was racing, I felt like I the room was closing in on me, sweats, and gained about 30 lbs in the last yr. I thought maybe my dosage was off on the Cymbalta so my doctor increased it which I stopped as soon as I started...I felt it was not that.
Avatar m tn No cymbalta is not addictive - it's an anti-depressant but is now being used to treat pain associated with fibromyalgia and some other conditions. My Dr. had me on that too for a while - and I stopped taking it because the pharmacy warned me that taking an anti-depressant while taking tramadol could result in serotonin syndrome. Course, I really wasn't that concerned as long as I could taking the tramadol! Goes to show you what kind of idiot the drugs made me.....
Avatar m tn I was prescribed Percocet (6x10/325), Skelaxen (3x800mg), Lyrica (3x50mg) and Cymbalta (30mg), plus I had 3 spinal epidural injections. I was on that combination for 5-1/2 months before the pain subsided enough for me to get off of the meds. Not realizing what I was dealing with I just stopped taking all of them, but found out the hard way what withdrawals were. Long story short... I tapered and went cold turkey Feb 2009.
Avatar m tn Hi, My doctor wants to put me on cymbalta for nerve pain that I have been having from an injury I have from 2005. It's nerve pain from a fall I took. He says it will help to calm down the nerves and signals from my brain to help with the pain. The prescription is for 30mg, 1 tab a day then increase to 2 tabs and recheck with him in a month. I'm alittle scared to take this, as I have never had to go on this kind of medicene and I'm afraid what the side effects might do.
Avatar m tn Only took Cymbalta for 3 months but had side effects of being off balance lightheaded feeling like I am walking in a boat now I being taken off the drug and having nightmares the sweats headaches anyone had this experience with this drug?
400867 tn?1371753094 So I took my first Cymbalta today. Other than Paxil, nothing else has worked for me (Lexapro and Effexor). Anyone have any good experiences with Cymbalta? Just wondering what I'm in for this time... Thanks!!
Avatar f tn Would you recommend stopping Effexor and switching to Cymbalta? Will Cymbalta reduce the withdrawal effect? My daughters were both recently put on Cymbalta, and their depression is much better, and they claim they are "thinking more clearly". Thanks for your input.
4753943 tn?1359934569 Did your doc just tell you to stop the Effexor and start the Cymbalta? What dose of Effexor are you stopping at, and what dose of Cymbalta are you starting at? Some people have seamless transitions, while others report some symptoms of a discontinuation syndrome, like you mentioned above. Hopefully, you'll have a smooth transition. Definitely let us know how you're feeling.
Avatar n tn I have tried it all! Everybody is different. I am on 60mg of Cymbalta. I can't not take it though because it messes me up (if my insurance is messing around etc...) but if youre ready to be consistent, I'd try it.
Avatar f tn HI I am going to the doctor on the 13th of june to get on an antidepressant.
