Cymbalta hives

Common Questions and Answers about Cymbalta hives

cymbalta

Morning Meg, I just did a google search "hives lexapro" and there are thousands of hits about Lexapro causing hives, and even when withdrawl from this drug it commonly causes hives. So i'm actually thinking the taking Lexapro and your hives going away was possibly a coincidence and not related. Just for kicks and giggles i looked up "hives cymbalta" and that seems to cause hives as well, so now i'm wondering, if it was a drug reaction that caused your hives. hmmmmmmm?
Also, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span> and anavin that you are taking for depression can cause occurrence of hives in some patient. First of all, the cause of allergy (allergen) has to be found out. For that, skin ***** tests or blood tests like (RAST) have to be performed. In this a small amount of allergen is injected in the skin of the forearm and response of the skin is seen. If there is redness and erythema then the skin is allergic to that allergen. Also get your T3, T4 and TSH levels evaluated.

If the rash persists, then it can be related to hives. The mainstay of treatment of hives is antihistamine which may be necessary for prolonged periods (in excess of 6 weeks). These include non sedating over the counter antihistaminics like Claritin(loratidine) or Cetirizine(zyrtec) and sedating ones like Benadryl(Chlorphenamine) used at night to get urticaria control.
My doctors have tried Topamax, but that severely lowered my platelet and potassium levels, Zomig, Zoloft - caused me to have migraines, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span>, Relpax, Zanaflex, broke out in hives, percocet, dilotid, and many other narcotics. I have many allergies to medications, especially narcotics. I have very little stress in my life and the only time I don't feel the headache is when I am asleep, though It does decrease a little when I am laying down.
Well I have Lupus and my first symptom was Hives. And when i say hives i mean hives. I don't think there was a spot on my body that didn't have them. I ended up in the ER due to anaphalatis (sp?) My throat closed on me couldn't breath. They admitted me and i was in the hospital for about 4 days. At first they thought i had developed a severe allergy to something all of sudden. Then a week later I couldn't walk because my legs hurt so bad and they wouldn't hold me up. Back to the ER i went.
I can't even share my wife about this , last month wife also complaining about some hives as you know i also have hives in my body but doctor it is because thyroid. I don't have any other sex experience which scares me.
I was Dx'd w/MS in 2000 and tried several medications and have been on <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span> and the Copaxone shots now for almost a year. I am very allergic to most meds and was so happy that I was actually able to take these. But in truth I do not feel that much better. I am in pain all the time. There is never a pain free day. And I barely get a good four hours of sleep in. Did I mention pain? In fact after typing this I know that my arms and hands will cause me great pain.
I suffer from bipolar..<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span> worked last year..til I broke out in hives..lol...my mood swings are unbearable and my brain is all over the place!!! I've always been a nervous wreak.. to begin with .... my shrink gave me cymbalta which isnt working....for alil over a month. .I'm in a standstill...my mother is ailing...& my Hplori is upseting my stomach... ...my general physician told me.. since I had surgerical hysterectomy.3 years ago.& didn't touch any estrogen pills... .
I mostly needed more sleep then and it was difficult to wake up, but I didn't have much fatigue during the day. - I'm NOT familar with <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span>, but have you investigated the side effects of <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span>??!! Headaches could possibly be from cymbalta!! I don't know if taping off it might also cause side effects, the other post made a good point about possible rebound effect from your current dosing schedule. It's worth looking into the side effects of cymbalta!!!!
Hello, Such a rash which appears and disappears is due to hives. Hives have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours. Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known. Others may be triggered by viral infections or medications. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin.
I was starting to feel definite relief of depression symptoms and still felt like having sex. On day 16 I began to itch, no hives, just itching. The itching started around one ear and top of one foot, then was mainly contained in the areas of bottom of feet, and hands. I also experienced some minor swelling of glands behind one ear and base of skull. My Dr. advised to stop Wellbutrin and within one week all itching and swelling had subsided.
<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span>, Nadolol, Neurotin, {reacted to Keppra, and Verapamil, Nardil, Topamax, Frova) I am also taking Lasix and just stopped taking Diamox a few months ago (Psudotumor Cerebri that is now resolved??) So what do you suggest I do now? I am on the verge of losing my job due to missed work.
My neurologist said it could be fibromyalgia. I have no tolerance for lexapro or <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span> as they both make me physically ill to the point of not functioning. I don't feel depressed. I just need my body back. Please help. Thanks.
Anyway, all those symptoms can be anxiety, as I type this my feet are burning and I get rashes (last for several minutes). Sounds like you may be getting hives too. I would keep up with my doctor appts., but I would also get started ASAP with a psych, and get counseling. There is a reason you felt you needed to seek outside your marriage for that. I am not condoning your behavior, but try to forgive yourself (probably will take counseling, lots of it).
Effexor XR 75mg/Seroquel 300mg, for about six months, Pristiq 200mg/Epilim 2000mg (Sodium Valproate) for about one year, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span> 120mg/Lithium 900mg for a year. My cycles were at one point about six week good, six weeks bad - give or take a few days... Then they became more like monthly and seemed to coincide with my periods, where I would get a period and go down hill, have another period, then come right until the next period where I would go down again...
no longer going on 24/7) I am now on <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span>. I also take Neurontin, Temazepam and Clonazepam. For reference, I have tried going off my medications completely for 2 months with NO change in the below. Since my bout with dermographia my skin is very sensitive. I cannot use harsh soaps or creams; shave against the grain or even scratch myself without getting a cluster of tiny bumps in that skin area and the occasional hive.
I lost my complete eye sight in 2007 for about half and hour, but lost peripheral vision for 3 hours. I as told it was migraine with aura. 3. I am constantly covered with hives all over my body. The hives mostly affect my low back close to the tail bone, arms, and chest, but i have had them in other places as well. My arms seem to worsen with exposure to sunlight. The hives seem to come in cycles and I am not aware of any cause to the trigger of a new cycle.
Lastly, you can always consider taking muscle relaxants such as flexeril, norflex, robaxin or meds for nerve pain such as Neurontin (gabapentin), Lyrica, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span> as another poster mentioned...depending on what type of pain you are having, if you want to stay away from the narcotics altogether.
It has taken me 10 years to get my TSH level from 127. down to 16, all the while fighting to keep the hives at some sort of management. I have been struggling more to get it below 16 in the past 6 months, and it just stays at 16 - 17. Is there anyway I can lower this TSH with some kind of vitamin cocktail? In addition to needing the sinus surgery, I also need to get some surgery done to the thyroid, as the thyroid is grossly enlarged.
so dr put me on cymbalta and i take adhd med....<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span> did nothing after raising dose...and nothing...so since <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span> they said also was for my anxiety they switched me to prozac and tramadol (400mg a day...that's max per day)....so thats prozac, tramadol and adhd stimulant...which brings me to my point.....i very quickly each hour of each day became extremely ill...extreme fatigue, vomiting, shortness of breath, dizzy, shakey, blurred vision....the list goes on...
The past 6 months i took the most that i ever took (4mg/day) for anxiety and hives. i decided to try and get pregnant and my doctor tapered me completely off of xanax. I started 5/3 and ended 5/13. My withdraw is horrible. I'm nauseous, feel my back aching and burning, can barely sleep, feel depressed and cranky. There was a time in this life when i didn't take xanax and could feel moments of pleasure.
they are not twitches I have them as well, these muscles will be tense for several seconds or longer. Some cognitive issues, fogginess, hives or itchy skin, weak muscles. I have had bloodwork done twice everything came up normal. EEG done Monday but do not have results yet. MRI will take place once the insurance okays it. I have felt like crap for 5 years or longer. I am scared. Not sure if it is MS, Lupus, ALS, or nothing.
I have tingles & crawlies as you call them. Neuroapthy in feet, numbness in left toes & buzzing under right (intermittently), pins & needles in feet & hands, hives, buzzing/burning in head, slurred speech, not much feeling when making love (sorry, hope I didn't offend anyone) & some occasional incontinence. MRI showed lesions, second no change & third had change. Two spinal taps both negative. Two neuros are sure it's not MS but can't tell me what it is.
For me, the symptoms lists sounded alot like what <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span> did to me. Some do well on <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span>; some don't. It (<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>cymbalta</span>) was a nightmare for me, and yes, I also believe it brought on a real uptick in just about uncontrollable anger (even tho I was really sick with fibro and a really bad, long acute Epstein Barr experience and other personal events).
