1786778 tn?1314987818 I get headaches daily. My aunt said I should try Melatonin.
Avatar m tn I have been to chiropractor and was taking Cymbalta for some time which is thought to help with chronic pain. Not sure which helped but I have been off the Cymbalta for several months and see chiro occassionally. Did find out I had ovarian cyst which may have explained the lower left pain. The chest pain is thought now to be muscle spasms due to shoulder bursitis - having arthroscopic surgery in hopes that will be relieved.
Avatar f tn My oncologist prescribed Epleptin and Neurexal for me. I have been on this medication for 3 months now and my headaches are not as severe or often as before. I feel great!!! :):):) Please go and see your neurologist and ask him for this medication.
Avatar f tn I am prescribed Fioricet (50/325/40) for tension headaches. I am taking 6 a day (2 every 4 to 6 hours) and was wondering if taking this medication that frequently can lead to physical dependence. I am taking it as prescribed and have constant headaches (I have had jaw reconstruction surgery, have extensive nerve damage and also suffer from bruxism...) but am scared to become physically addicted to the medication.
Avatar m tn since all your investigations are coming postive and no obvious etiology is detected, it is easier to understand that, the symptoms are showing are due to migraine headaches. Other causes could be stress headache, cluster headaches and a tension headache. Consult your neurologist for the needful. Take care.
Avatar f tn has anyone had such bad tension headaches that it makes your eyes droop on one side and feels like you have pain in your ears....
1042487 tn?1275279899 The 5-HTP is doing a better job than the Cymbalta for my tension headaches and general well being. Oh and my brain zaps are over since today! I'm so happy! I only had like a minor brain zap today and it was more like a 1 second dizzy spell. I don't need Omega-3 supplements for now since i'm not only eating sardines as a source of Omega-3 but i said other various source like soy milk, biologic organic cereals with omega-3, fruit juice supplemented with Omega-3 from oasis.
Avatar n tn s neurologist said aerobic exercise is better than yoga for tension headaches. But my daughter never feels well enough for aerobic exercise.

1679858 tn?1346765181 I have realized that many of the things I was feeling were due to stress and anxiety. After being on Cymbalta for 5 months, I have very few headaches, and the ones I do have, seem muscle related. I just wanted to comment on this because I cannot believe what my mind and body were capable of causing, after finding out about this condition I have had my whole life, that never really affected me at all!
Avatar n tn I started with pain to touch on right side of spine and now very sore to touch on only top part of legs. Also, started having headaches on right side. They have tried Cymbalta and now Savella and it doesn't seem to be working. The soreness to touch is getting worse. Is there something I could suggest to the dr. to try?
Avatar m tn Hi, The headaches may be tension headaches. They may result from anxiety or tension. But occipital headaches must be investigated. They may result from a growth or tumour at the back of the brain. Please go for CT scan or MRI of the brain and consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!

1390615 tn?1299426291 I just was reading up on excedrin and pregnancy and the tension headache formula has no aspirin. That would probably be the safest. If your Dr said it was ok then I would take it, however if you don't feel comfortable then don't do it, and talk to him/her about it at your next visit.
Avatar f tn Thanks for responding, I have been drinking water and gateraide and may still be a little dehydrated, but at least now I don't have an extremly dry mouth... that is kind of how I know the dehydration issue is getting better. Unfortionatly the headaches are getting worse. It is hard to even pick my head up off the pillow, it feels like it weighs about about 20-30 pounds and the pain is now shooting down my back.
Avatar f tn I use it for my neck, it works amazing at relaxing the neck muscles for me and actually helps relive tension headaches i get from my neck issues. As for muscle relaxers, (just in my case) flexeril didn't help at all, but baclofen works great. Hope that helps and good luck to you.
Avatar n tn The thing about tension headaches is that the cause is not really well understood, and treatments are few. The thing that's always worked best for me is excedrin extra strength, which is aspirin, tylenol and caffeine. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/tension-headache/symptoms-causes/syc-20353977 Massage can also help, or anything that relieves stress and helps my muscles relax naturally. A scalp massage is the best thing on earth.
Avatar f tn Try a neck and shoulder massage. They help me since most continuous headaches are tension headaches and are caused from a sore stiff neck mainly from bad posture.
Avatar f tn I am a 20 year old female, who was diagnosed last month as have overlapping chronic tension and sinus headaches by a neurologist. The neurologist has put me on a maximum dose of 40mg of the antidepressant endep 10 to try to help prevent the headaches. I have been on this for over a month now and there has been a little but not substantial improvement. I have just started back at uni and I am finding it really hard to cope with the afternoon headaches I have been getting.
Avatar m tn At times it will feel tingling sometimes even feels hot at times but then goes away. I went to the ER and they told me I was suffering from tension headaches and aniexty gave me some valume and pain killers. The pain killers don't really work though, the tenison is still there.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your comment. I went to the doctoe she said it was tension headaches and that i needed to try to find a way to relax or go to therapy. So i guess now i will try to see a chiroprator.
