Then, I started on Cymbalta at time of Menopause. Went off the Cymbalta for a while and then back on when I noticed the tinnitus starting. I also had a ton of amalgams removed unsafely (I did not know better) years before the menopause thing, but just to give you some ideas of my history. Anyhow, had two really bad bouts of vertigo but that has been maybe 2-4 years ago since the last.

Usually changes that are rapid are more likely to be something simple such as a yeast infection, although I would expect you to have some additional symptoms. Premature menopause is unlikely to present this way. Pregnancy could OR a condition called acanthosis nigricans which is seen in PCOS patients. Neither seems to fit your bill.

I have really struggled with fibromyalgia for the last 5 years along with a milld chronic fatigue my doctor put me onto Cymbalta. This did seem to work and noted that the pain in my muscles was quite bearable. Now having been on it for the last 3 years I think it has stopped working, I am experiencing severe depression when previously I wasn't depressed. If I double my dosage of Cymbalta I feel fantastic.

I just had a hysterectomy July 13th and have had a flare up of POTS symptoms. I saw that some OBGYN Dr.s perscribe it after hysterectomies for help with hot flashes and mood swings due to hormone changes, but also saw that some cardio Dr.s prescribe it also to help with POTS. Does anyone here have any experience with it?

Of course I am depressed due to all of that going on, all diagnosed since menopause a few years back. The hep C has been dormant for at least 20 yrs, has to have been that long since exposed. Got any suggestions for me? Besides a gunshot to the head? Nah, just joking!

I am a 52 year old female. Post menopause and on hormones. Just hot my thyroid levels at a good level. I switched from pristiq to cymbalta back in November. I am tired ALL the time. More than when my thyroid was out of whack. Could the cymbalta be causing this and if so, what if I took it at night?

Just got from the endo. Good news is all my scans came back clean, so it looks like I'm cancer-free. I would be doing the happy dance, but I'm too dam tired to really care. Sad isn't it! Doc ask me how I was feeling and I told her about the extreme fatigue I've felt for a long time. I asked if there could be other causes besides thyroid history and the menopause. Her theory is I'm depressed and Effexor (taking for hot flashes) isn't working.

Iv'e been bad with nerves since I was 20 am now 58. It still goes on. I take cymbalta for depression and diazepam. I seem to go 3 to 4 months then something happens. I started losing my balance a fortnight since and couldn't stand for long though I have catarrh in my head since the weather came colder.

I already have clonazepam, restoril,gabapentin,morphine for pain,weening off the prednisone and staying on the plaqunil for the lupus. I am glad to hear that it is probably the drug and not me.

I went happily to my psychiatrist thinking my Cymbalta (60mg) might be pooping out. I certainly wasn't having any major issues with anxiety or depression ON Cymbalta (loved it- been on 5 1/2 yrs for a depression episode in 2008). Worked great.

I am having severe anxiety attacks all day and everyday. I am in menopause and not taking any supplements. I am taking up to 3.5mg of xanax a day. My mornings are the absolute worst. I have depersonalization feelings. I don't know if this could be caused by the xanax. I need help. I have been taking up to this dose for about 6 months. I am scared and don't know what to do. Suggested I see an Endocrinologist, because my do is older and male, and said he does not work with Menopause symptoms! He has given me Biest 2.5/Progest 50mg. that did not work for me. It was as if my symptoms became worse. (Is what he gave me prescription strength hormone replacement therapy?) I am so confused, as no one really knows. Seems everyone has their own opinion on menopause! But I agree with you...

Hi, I am 42 yrs old, I missed my period by 2 days, and on the weekend I was rushed to the hospital for food poisoning, my white blood cell count is high, and I feel better 2 days after the food poisoning. So I am wondering if I could be pregnant. I know I am old and I know my changes are very low, and I am in a place in my life where I don't want this to happen. Has anyone been perscribed Paroxetine for their neuropothy symptoms? I saw my physiatrist last week for the increasing pain I am having related to my syrinx. He advised me to check back in with my NS, and gave me a script for Cymbalta. Apparently, this anti-depressant also works on nerves. I just talked to my doctor today because for about 3 weeks now I have the night sweats through the night alot and I'm not getting good sleep. I didn't want to do any hormone therapy. I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune problem due in part to a positive ANA blood test. I have also gone through the throws of menopause and had an FSH test which has confirmed. Neither time nor medication have resolved these issues which have been exhausting and most debilitating. I started Cymbalta 8 to 8 days ago for MDD and Gad with obsessive thoughts. And now tapering Effexor gradually. Due to the money crunch we have had to look to the canadian drug companys for my husbands meds that he takes, and when I ordered the cymbalta that is what they sent, and when I questioned it they said it was the same...
