Common Questions and Answers about Cymbalta euphoria

cymbalta

Avatar f tn I do have a question. I'm day 5 clean. Yesterday afternoon, i had this sudden wave of euphoria, like when the pills would start to kick in. ( i didnt take any! ) Is this normal??
Avatar f tn m going to be stopping them I wanted to find something that would help give me more pep. I already drink coffee. I am on cymbalta but I feel like I've always had issues with being tired more than the normal person for the last 12 years. Any thoughts or ideas?
Avatar m tn That being said, her doctor was wise to switch her over to another medication like Cymbalta. 30Mgs of Cymbalta is a good starting point and this gives him option to ramp the dosage up as needed. Regardless of this fact, Cymbalta, May or may not be an effective medication for her. I tried Cymbalta for 7 weeks at 60Mgs per day (after 4 years on Effexor) and in my case it did NOTHING to help with my condition.

1196338 tn?1265163728 Hello, I am new to this community, I suppose I should tell you a littlebit about myself first.. Well, I am a CP patient who was in a MVA accident a couple of years ago, and have been taking opiates for my pain. I am a little shy to ask this because I don't want to be judged as being an addict or something, but I always thought that you could tell that a narcotic was working based on that warm fuzzy feeling you get..
Avatar f tn i feel amazing i am not like crazy happy but i am content and i am kind of anxious about how bad i will feel once the euphoria is gone
401095 tn?1351391770 also taken methadone which is almost equal and no euphoria...but even tho drugs do not cause euphoria there r still wds when stopped as the body becomes physically dependent...
Avatar f tn congrats on day 8, way to go, keep up the good work. just wanted to comment on the depression. I take cymbalta for depression and i have discovered something that really helps. GROUND FLAXSEED. you have to grind it. i grind mine in a coffee grinder, cheap one i got at walmart. i get the flaxseed at any health food store. i put it in my hot cereal in the morning. you can put it in any food. the essential fatty acids are so helpful for depression. anyway, so proud of you, keep posting.
Avatar f tn But I checked with another study recipient and we both agree that there is a mild sense of well being and euphoria that sets in about an hour after taking PSI 7977 and lasts for varying lengths of time and then begins to change to fatigue. It is like getting gas or a valium before a dental procedure. Has anyone else experienced such sensations on any of the hepatitis medications; experimental or not?
482050 tn?1208394829 U are so lucky you found this forum at the amount of pills and time u are using...PLEASE read all the health pages on the right...Your dosage is low, so give it about 5 days to start feeling better.... Avatar m tn I was on 150 ml a day of tramadol but off for 5days. Help, any suggestions to make it better. Going to doc today. Should I let her put me on suboxune today or continue to fight on my own. I cannot take cymbalta.
Avatar n tn My question is about using a mood stabilizer (Lamictal) with my Opana and hydromorphone, fentanyl and before, oxycontin. I do not get any euphoria from opiate or opiod medications or get much mental effects..and I'm wondering if my mood stabilizer is the reason for this...like it maintains me at an a level mood and this prevents my mood from being elevated similar to how it prevents me from having manic symptoms. Just a fyi, I'm not looking for the euphoria and hyperness etc....
Avatar f tn Maybe you should try something like an SSRI ( Lexapro is a good choice ) or a SNRI ( Cymbalta is a really good one but quite expansive, Effexor can be good too ). Another thing you should try is healthy diet and physical activity as it's a natural way to beat depression.
Avatar m tn I currently have weird feeling like in the scalp area in my head. ive had this weird lightheaded almost close to euphoria feeling in my head. started last night i was hungry so i ate my dinner and i also drank some soda cola. i ate it and later i had a slight bowel movement in the bathroom. I took bath and i puked a little not much but puked. I later had a weird head sensation like a euphoria feeling in my head. weird. i finished taken a bath and then went on to the computer.
Avatar f tn It does great for my pain but I love the euphoria it gives me and motivation. My body is wired to where I get wired when I take it. My question is would switching to opana er still relive the pain and not give me the wired out and euphoric side effects that I'm starting to enjoy so much? I've heard opana er and ir have the opposite effects.
Avatar f tn Will I ever feel the same euphoria again without opiates???I know I did when I was younger...but everything seems/seemed dulled on the pills... Stupid question...just rolled in my head...scared..what if its never the same??
Avatar n tn Methadone is a much longer acting opiate that vicodin, but it will still give a form of euphoria. Your doctor is probably prescribing the methadone to give you better pain releif for a longer period so you don't have to take as many lortab. At one point when I was having severe neck pain, my doctor also put me on lortab and a small dose of methadone. Please be careful, as both drugs are very addictive and methadone is very hard to withdrawal from.
Avatar m tn Hi, My doctor wants to put me on cymbalta for nerve pain that I have been having from an injury I have from 2005. It's nerve pain from a fall I took. He says it will help to calm down the nerves and signals from my brain to help with the pain. The prescription is for 30mg, 1 tab a day then increase to 2 tabs and recheck with him in a month. I'm alittle scared to take this, as I have never had to go on this kind of medicene and I'm afraid what the side effects might do.
Avatar m tn Only took Cymbalta for 3 months but had side effects of being off balance lightheaded feeling like I am walking in a boat now I being taken off the drug and having nightmares the sweats headaches anyone had this experience with this drug?
400867 tn?1371753094 So I took my first Cymbalta today. Other than Paxil, nothing else has worked for me (Lexapro and Effexor). Anyone have any good experiences with Cymbalta? Just wondering what I'm in for this time... Thanks!!
Avatar f tn Would you recommend stopping Effexor and switching to Cymbalta? Will Cymbalta reduce the withdrawal effect? My daughters were both recently put on Cymbalta, and their depression is much better, and they claim they are "thinking more clearly". Thanks for your input.
4753943 tn?1359934569 Did your doc just tell you to stop the Effexor and start the Cymbalta? What dose of Effexor are you stopping at, and what dose of Cymbalta are you starting at? Some people have seamless transitions, while others report some symptoms of a discontinuation syndrome, like you mentioned above. Hopefully, you'll have a smooth transition. Definitely let us know how you're feeling.
Avatar n tn I have tried it all! Everybody is different. I am on 60mg of Cymbalta. I can't not take it though because it messes me up (if my insurance is messing around etc...) but if youre ready to be consistent, I'd try it.
Avatar f tn HI I am going to the doctor on the 13th of june to get on an antidepressant.
Avatar n tn Can anyone tell me what kind of side affects they have experienced with cymbalta?
233622 tn?1279334905 Hello LA, Thanks so much for the response to my rant yesterday. I feel better today. Still have the double vision but like always my friends here cheer me up. To answer your question. I was on Cymbalta for about 6 weeks. I asked to be taken off of it. It was making me feel strange. Very "short Fused", irritated, grouchy. I started taking Effexor when this started and I went back to it just a higher dose now. I have seen where people here have got on it and it has helped very well.
