Common Questions and Answers about Cymbalta commercial

cymbalta

Avatar n tn Cymbalta withdrawal...been there never wanna go back. I was also at 60 mgs and whenever I took a dose late or missed a day I got the brain zaps, plus I didn't feel like it was working all that well. AND, my psych NP neglected to warn me that it can be very hard on the liver and as a recovering alcoholic I should never have been put on it in the first place. I ditched her. I tapered very slow.
735919 tn?1236444549 If you have ever seen the commercial on TV, it clearly states bleeding can occur if you take Cymbalta with an NSAID. Well I suffered horrible diarrhea and couldn't continue on with the treatment and I didn't even know about the increased bleeding risk. There is always a normal bleeding risk with NSAIDs- well with Cymbalta and NSAIDs together it increased even more! My doctor must not have realized this interaction.

2035404 tn?1455169983 Is it just me or does every commercial seem to be taking about heart stuff.. Do scary and I was reading on here and some lady said her sister died of a heart tumor and had every heart test and ended up dying because they never caught the heart tumor. This really scared me, because I've been having chest pressure and pain for the last 2 months.
Avatar n tn I have a lot of wounds (I work in a pet clinic), and they take a really long time to heal and leave scars. Also I am on cymbalta, lyrica, ambien, and still i feel crappy all the time. I feel better then what I did....but still find it hard to function and work full time. Does anyone have any advice? I am in dire need.
428506 tn?1296557399 Hi, I do not have a fibro or CFS dx, but have chronic Lyme which has a good amount of symptom overlap. While undiagnosed, I was treated with meds including Neurontin and Lyrica. I recently saw a new TV commercial for Lyrica. I've never liked these commercials as they seem to minimize the problem and severity of fibro by showing patients resuming active lives thanks to this medication. One I saw in the past depicted a woman working in a bakery.
1442059 tn?1340240952 Thanks again for the cymbalta advice. I got the green light for it yesterday from the phyc. at the hep c clinic. I told him about my migraines tmj etc and he thought it was the best choice for me also. He was concerned about my living situation and asked me if I had put any plans in place . I have.
Avatar f tn how many Mommas thinks they'll be like that LUVS commercial where it's like first time mom and she's taking all these precautions then with the second kid she's all laid back? Omg I can't help but laugh because I can just see myself being that very protective mom disinfecting every little thing lol!
Avatar f tn is anyone else completely disgusted by the commercial (i can't remember her name. i know i know it but can't remember it) where the spokes person is talking with her mouth full? i don't know who the genius was that came up with that but it does NOT make me want to run out and buy healthy choice. if anything it makes me never want to see the package or food. it's so gross!
Avatar f tn A friend of mine heard a Hep C commercial this morning that directed people to this website. I haven't read the entire site yet but it appears to have very useful information. http://www.bettertoknowc.
1491755 tn?1333201362 I heard a HCV awareness commercial while listenening to "iheart" radio today. Not sure if it was a regional commercieal from the station I was listening to or if they sell ads themselves. Pretty cool, as it's the first I've ever heard.
Avatar m tn Hi, My doctor wants to put me on cymbalta for nerve pain that I have been having from an injury I have from 2005. It's nerve pain from a fall I took. He says it will help to calm down the nerves and signals from my brain to help with the pain. The prescription is for 30mg, 1 tab a day then increase to 2 tabs and recheck with him in a month. I'm alittle scared to take this, as I have never had to go on this kind of medicene and I'm afraid what the side effects might do.
Avatar m tn Only took Cymbalta for 3 months but had side effects of being off balance lightheaded feeling like I am walking in a boat now I being taken off the drug and having nightmares the sweats headaches anyone had this experience with this drug?
400867 tn?1371753094 So I took my first Cymbalta today. Other than Paxil, nothing else has worked for me (Lexapro and Effexor). Anyone have any good experiences with Cymbalta? Just wondering what I'm in for this time... Thanks!!
Avatar f tn Would you recommend stopping Effexor and switching to Cymbalta? Will Cymbalta reduce the withdrawal effect? My daughters were both recently put on Cymbalta, and their depression is much better, and they claim they are "thinking more clearly". Thanks for your input.
4753943 tn?1359934569 Did your doc just tell you to stop the Effexor and start the Cymbalta? What dose of Effexor are you stopping at, and what dose of Cymbalta are you starting at? Some people have seamless transitions, while others report some symptoms of a discontinuation syndrome, like you mentioned above. Hopefully, you'll have a smooth transition. Definitely let us know how you're feeling.
Avatar n tn I have tried it all! Everybody is different. I am on 60mg of Cymbalta. I can't not take it though because it messes me up (if my insurance is messing around etc...) but if youre ready to be consistent, I'd try it.
Avatar f tn HI I am going to the doctor on the 13th of june to get on an antidepressant.
Avatar m tn That being said, her doctor was wise to switch her over to another medication like Cymbalta. 30Mgs of Cymbalta is a good starting point and this gives him option to ramp the dosage up as needed. Regardless of this fact, Cymbalta, May or may not be an effective medication for her. I tried Cymbalta for 7 weeks at 60Mgs per day (after 4 years on Effexor) and in my case it did NOTHING to help with my condition.
Avatar n tn Can anyone tell me what kind of side affects they have experienced with cymbalta?
233622 tn?1279334905 Hello LA, Thanks so much for the response to my rant yesterday. I feel better today. Still have the double vision but like always my friends here cheer me up. To answer your question. I was on Cymbalta for about 6 weeks. I asked to be taken off of it. It was making me feel strange. Very "short Fused", irritated, grouchy. I started taking Effexor when this started and I went back to it just a higher dose now. I have seen where people here have got on it and it has helped very well.
Avatar n tn Cymbalta made my depression worse and made me pretty nauseated. But then, I never do respond to psychotropic drugs or antidepressants very well.
Avatar n tn My Dr. wanted me to try low dose Cymbalta for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and did not have the 30 mg samples so i was given the 60 mg with instructions to empty the capsules into food, as this would reduce the dose by approximately half. I became very ill with vomiting and severe diarreah. I was up all night running to the bathroom and was concerned when i looked up information on cymbalta that said not to open capsules.
Avatar m tn I had insomnia and fibromyalgia. My doctor put me on Cymbalta. He said it would help me with sleep and pain. It was 2 weeks of hell, no sleep and constant pain and I wanted to kill myself!!! I was not depressed and have no history of depression. my doctor switched me to amitriptyline. It helps with sleep but not pain, I would never recommend Cymbalta to anyone !
