My doctor started me on 30 Mg of cymbalta which has progressed to 60 mg per day. I think it has helped but am experiencing some dizziness. Is it a drug interaction?
i also quit xanax the same time i stopped the cymbalta, i was on the xanax for about 8 years.... needless to say it was hell, and now my hybercondria and agorophobia along with panic is coming back, but i like the fact my blood pressure is low now..... anyway is this a normal occurence or should i be worried??
seems I need to find a new GI, mine is just not cutting it. I was prescribed Cymbalta and only after filling it and reading the PI did I find that he just prescribed me something that could have a fatal side effect with my migraine medications. His response was to see my primary care (I don't have one, he just retired), stop my migraine medication (Um, no thanks) or quit my therapy. Really? Quit? After I have gone undetectable, I don't think so!
It has not and I am back to taking pain meds 60mg morphine daily and 60 mg oxycodone. I have been so depressed and now I am taking 180mg of cymbalta and now xanax. I am more depressed and lost than I have ever been in my life. I can't do anything, I have no energy to do anything. I don't eat much anymore. It has been the worst for me these past few years and I am really confused. What can I do?
However, your other doctors are right too. There is no drug interaction between them, and so even if you become pregnant, there is not going to be any additional harm due to drug interaction. The safety profile of Cymbalta is not known for the unborn baby, hence it needs be taken with precaution in pregnancy. On the other hand Celebrex should be avoided during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Take care!
Since being on a antibotic and this cymbalta my neck feels funny and my throat feels like its got a lump of cotton in it,the cymbalta makes my mouth dry, I went to medical dr yesterday told him i thought i was allergic to meds he looked down my throat in my mouth and felt my neck and said im ok...........but its still bothering me,,,,,,,,,im thinking about stopping the cymbalta to see if it goes away.......Its really bad when i bend my head down and underneath my chin...........
Im on 30 mg. of cymbalta since may 8,Klonopin since april 23 and xanax since feb..tapering off xanax.......since adding cymbalta to this mixture my blood pressure has dropped as my heart rate has too........is this normal for this mixture? I dont like the cymbalta so far and i thought the klonopin was suppose to help with my tapering off xanax,i was suppose to stop xanax 2 days ago and so far i havent because im scared of withdrawals......
She is now on Cymbalta (daily) and Xanax (PRN), and has even weened off of those, generally only taking the Cymbalta when she has BD episodes and taking Xanax if her anxiety acts up.
Based on her really bad BD episodes in the past, I am afraid of taking her computer away as I feel this will only send her deep in to depression or make her anxiety skyrocket.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do at this point? I am at a bit of a loss.
I ran a check on the ones you listed and came up with the interaction between Cymbalta and trazodone - it says there is an increased risk of serotonin syndorme.
Some of the symptoms of serotonin syndrome are:
Cognitive effects: headache, agitation, hypomania, mental confusion, hallucinations, coma
Autonomic effects: shivering, sweating, hyperthermia, hypertension, tachycardia, nausea, diarrhea.
Somatic effects: myoclonus (muscle twitching), hyperreflexia (manifested by clonus), tremor.
always asks me what has worked in the past ,well so far nothing really the cymbalta seemed to work last year for awhile.
Hi, I use to take Klonapin which is like xanax and I use proventil. I never had a problem with it, but if you're worried you should ask your Dr. or pharmacist.
Since you are on a considerably high dose of tramadol yes, the interaction is significant and can indeed cause serotonin syndrome, Also since Cymbalta is a potent SNRI. Was the tramadol prescribed with by a doctor knowing you were using tramadol as such high dose and vice versa?
Reading that is serotonin syndrome on the internet won't improve your situation. I repeat serotonin syndrome is a medical condition that rarely cause trouble. If you experience fever then its time to go to the ER.
He has me on 4 different meds 2) anti depressants- cymbalta 20 mg and celexa 40 mg 1) mood stablizer- Geodon 100mg and 1) anti anxiety Klohipin 2mg 3 x day. Not t mention all the other medications I take. There is a web site google med interaction checker. The 4 meds he perscribes me interact with everything so I looked at the same kinds of meds just slight difference in them and the ones I chose didnt interact with anything severly.
i was on ativana nd cymbalta last year and my dr put me on xanx and my counsler had me stert the cymbalta its some i already had from march and at that time i only took it a few days my dr wanted me to try natural products but my pshycolgist told me to get out my cymbalta and take it nnow i scared im gonna die
I went to a pain management clinic for over 15 years but I cannot find a new clinic that will accept me because I take Xanax AND I CANNOT COME OFF THEM I have tried several times. My psychiatrist has even written a letter to some clinics stating I cannot come off of the Xanax but they still refuse to take me and want to put me on Suboxone and I do not know what to do. I CANNOT TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE.
My biggest issue with the Xanax is relying on it for sleep. Ideally I would like to get off Xanax and Cymbalta. I'v heard some good things about cognitive behavior therapy. Thanks for your advice!
I am prescribed xanax for anxiety (recently for anxiety and panic attacks) and I got doxycycline hyclate for a sinus infection yesterday from a small clinic. I completely forgot to ask if there was an interaction between these two drugs. I may not even have to take the xanax, only if I have a panic attack will I. Does anyone know if there is an interaction between these two?
