cymbalta and wellbutrin interactions

My psychiatrist prescribed 90 mg. Cymbalta, 300 mg. of Wellbutrin and then, 50 mg. Trazadone before bed. After reading quite a bit, I am concerned it it is safe to take the Trazadone with these other drugs. This is not a new psychiatrist. I have seen her for the past three years and I suffer from severe depression, PTSD, anxiety disorder and possible agorophobia. I just want to make certain I am safe!

I would like to get off suboxone sometime this year. could i take something like cymbalta and just quit the suboxone - basicly having the anti depressant take it's place in some way? are there any combinations that work with suboxone? I am seeing my phsciatrist tomarrow and would like to have some ideas as far as my medications. this is so confusing, yet liberating that soon i will be functional for the first time in my life. Thanks for your help.

In July 2008 I switched over from Zoloft and Invega to Wellbutrin and Cymbalta. At that time, these were my only medications. In August 08, when I stood up from my chair, my legs had terrible tremors. They were so bad that I had to hold onto the desk. This still happens today. I also experience leg tremors when descending stairs - but not going up. I get minor tremors while going from a standing to a sitting position. My right hand has started to tremor - kind of fast but mild.

I would switch gradually to Cymbalta and see what happens rather than being on both. As for the Wellbutrin added to the mix it could help with libido since dopamine is in play. Both Zoloft and Wellbutrin sounds like something you could try before getting on Cymblata. I don't think you shoud mix Cymbalta with Wellbutrin personally.

I do think if you keep going with Wellbutrin and Cymbalta you will be doing just fine. Wellbutrin might be unpleasant when taking the first doses, just like any other antidepressant but the side-effects will eventually go away as your body adapts to the medicines. If after 1 month taking both drugs you don't see any improvements then you might consider trying something else but seriously Cymbalta+Wellbutrin is really supposed to give you energy and make you function more normally.

m worried that the combination of Cymbalta and Wellbutrin can cause this. Is the combintation of Cymbalta and Wellbutrin safe? Thanks very much!

I have come off of a lot of my medications. My final meds are Wellbutrin, Trazodone and Cymbalta. The Wellbutrin is suppose to take the place of the cymbalta. After horrible withdrawal, I came completely off of Cymbalta last week. I became so depressed that I couldn't stand to talk, much less move. All I wanted to do was sleep and be left alone. When I did interact, I was grizzly mean.

It's funny you mentioned Wellbutrin. I was given a sample about 10 yrs ago for smoking sessation. I took if for 2 weeks and I remeber feeling kind of happy. It was strange, I woke up one morning and remeber feeling a little happier that I had in a long time. I ran out of the med and went back to smoking and not thougth about it until I started taking AD's. I knew nothing about them back then.

i am thinkin about having my doctor start me on cymbalta or wellbutrin.. i have tried everything else and it didnt work that well for me.. those two are the only ones i know that have norepenephrine.. i dont know if i spelled that right... i was wondering if anyone had any bad reactions or anything good to say about either one.. and if it seem to make a difference with the serotonin and norepenphrine.. compared to just serotonin..

how long have you been doing this? I am on 275 effexor and 150 long acting wellbutrin and my starch cravings do me in, So i will research if cymbalta could substitute for the wellbutrin which acts differently that effexor and the cocktail is otherwise acceptable. But if you know somethinghere about cymbalta v. Wellbutrin, I'd love to know.

I was on Cymbalta for 5 years and it just stopped working. I like my Cymbalta and had very little side effects with it for many years but all of a sudden I started getting headaches and anxiety, sleeping all day and missing days at a time from work. They have switched me to Cypralex now and I am quite concerned it won't do as much for me. It has only been a few days so I cannot determine the effects quite yet, except that I have the shakes really bad.

I have been on Wellbutrin off and on for 10 years, on Cymbalta for 4-5 years and Geodon for 4 years. I have been on Geodon 40 mg at times, but recently for the last year or so, on 20 mg. Recently, my psychiatrist bumped me up to 40 mg again. It seems like the last time I was on 40 mg, I also had anxiety and obsessive thoughts. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same experience with Geodon, since that is the only thing that has changed recently.

I just got off prozac after being on it a year,Im still on wellbutrin sr 150 mg twice a day and thyroid meds and hormones...has any one tried any of these supplements? And do you know if they are safe to take with wellbutrin sr?

Were you on Wellbutrin first and did well on it? Or, were you on Cymbalta first? If you really think Cymbalta is the med causing your anxiety you need to work with your Dr as far as tapering off it. Getting off it can be done. I took it myself and was able to taper with my Drs help until I was completely off it.

I posted before, I can't name all I've been on but remeber Prozac, Cymbalta, Wellbutrin, Effexor (Oh God, withdrawls..never again), Remeron (eternal sleep even when awake). Have done some recent research and the crowd points a lot to Zoloft, Lexapro and Celexa. 5 months ago I went off all meds. I've been dealing with a rough year due to divorce. does wellbutrin sr cause tingling of the body stopped prozac on the 10th of june and on the 15th i staerted tingling all over,alwso was switched from adderall to ritalin thought it might be the ritalin so i stopped it for awile,but the tingling is bad driving me nuts.

to put me on Cymbalta. She lowered the Wellbutrin and put me on the lowest Cymbalta 20mg. and already I feel a difference. The one thing I noticed is, if I don't stay active, I get tired by the afternoon, which I didn't before the Cymbalta. My muscles are still cramping but the intense neurological pain is what has lessened. I'm supposed to raise my dose to 40mg. in a few days, but I think I shall wait a bit longer to see if the 20 mg. will suffice. Maybe less is better.

s will lower your sex drive to almost zero (except wellbutrin and I wonder about it sometimes) and cause weight gain. When I took cymbalta I had extreme fatigue (slept the whole time I was on it) as well as constipation and dry mouth. Sometimes an AD will work great in the beginning and then just quit or really strange side effects will begin. For me...after taking zoloft successfully for 9 years it began to give me rage attacks. Getting off of an AD can be long and drawn out.

I have to switch my meds. I have depression and fibromyalgia and am on Cymbalta, but it doesn't seem to be helping me.....my doctor suggested Prozac since it is known to help fatigue better than the other antidepressants (supposedly). Thank you.

Ask your doctor about Cymbalta. It's one of the new breed of anti-anxiety meds and might be better for you.

All 3 meds mentioned are class C drugs, which means none have been tested on pregnant women, but have shown to cause defomities or problems in laboratory animals. I would strongly think twice about getting pregnant while being on all of these meds. Ask yourself if the benefits out weigh the risks.
