cymbalta and rls

For the past few months I've been experiencing aches and heaviness in my legs. These usually happens in the evening or while I'm sleeping. But I once move around it goes away. I've had RLS for the past 8-10 years and I don't take anything for it. Please help.

I made a typo in my original post. I AM currently taking Cymbalta and Xanax for the ancy legs and arms. If anyone has any ideas please share them. This isnt just at night but it goes on all day. I am feeling desperate because I feel like this is hurting my life right now more than the 20 vicodin es I was taking a day.

m really feeling it now. I have RLS and my legs hurt extremely all the time. Today I am very weak and have cried. Reading your post helps me know I'm not alone. Why can't they fix this? Sometimes I wish I could just touch a doctor and "somehow" he would know and realize what I'm going through. I'm sure that if the doctors had what we have, they would find a cure! You're right, it is a nightmare, but we are here for you.

also b vitamins 6 and 12 will help you with energy and also help your body absorb the aminos also try melatonin for sleep,I use an otc sleep aid called ALTETIL and it works like a charm for me almost forgot use magnesium and calcium also to help with rls and sleep.

and do take the theanine and 5htp at night as it causes me some sleepiness and the tyrosine gives me energy...cymbalta is not a tricyclic nor is it a mao inhibitor...

i just wanted to say that the hymans rls worked wonders for me i know some people say it dosent help all but i just wanted to tell anyone who is looking for help with rls to go and get the hymans rls it wouldnt hurt to try it because coming from someone who hates rls so much when i used to get it i would want to kill myself when it was happing so i want u all to get the point if u hate it as much as me then give the hymans a shot i did not get the rls at all using this product but i will say i h

I do employ all the above strategies already. Take cymbalta which improved it but not this round and klonopin and gabapentin. DH massages my legs as well, I so occassionaly wrap in an ace wrap as well. I overdid my activites yesterday with all the testing and it was at it' worst. I started doing my PT streches , especially the hamstring and anterior tibialis (sp?) and that DID help. I restart PT ,finally, on Wednesday so things should improve.

ve tried taking an herbal sleep blend from hi-health and additional melatonin as well as calicum and magneisum as im told they all help with RLS and muscel spasms, but still none of it works. can anybody tell me when this will stop or what i can do about it? im really trin to stay away from things like tylenol PM.

I'm on Cymbalta for moodswings and fibro. Someone posted that they were on Cymbalta and Lamactil and it worked well. Cant find the post. Anyone taking this combination and does it work.

I was put on cymbalta for depression and nerve pain ( RSD ). I hate taking new medicines I know nothing about. I am young and I am afraid of it. I start off taking 30 mgs for a week than increase to 60 than I will get up to 120 at some point. Could someone please tell me something about this drug? Is it safe? Thanks Susan...

For neuropathy and other sensations I had relief with both Cymbalta and Lyrica. The only downside to the Lyrica was difficulty with cognition and drowsiness. Savella (milnacipran) is the new medication and it works much the same as Cymbalta...it is an antidepressant. As uk2 mentioned, the patches help with pain as well. My current treatment is with Ultram for both FMS and RSD and Trazadone for sleep. It's much a 'trial and error'...

Overall I think Cymbalta is one of the best medication out there but this have a cost. Cymbalta cost is outrageous and Cymbalta is very hard to stop. I stopped cold-turkey after using it for only 5 months and I had brain zaps for a little more than a month. The withdrawal was quite severe but it is expected with all potent powerful antidepressant.

I have come off of a lot of my medications. My final meds are Wellbutrin, Trazodone and Cymbalta. The Wellbutrin is suppose to take the place of the cymbalta. After horrible withdrawal, I came completely off of Cymbalta last week. I became so depressed that I couldn't stand to talk, much less move. All I wanted to do was sleep and be left alone. When I did interact, I was grizzly mean.

The average dose for Cymbalta is 60mg per day, and although some doctors do prescribe it 120mg per day...there is no evidence to prove that it helps any more than the 60 mg per day. The maximim dose for Prozac is 80mg per day so you're still below the highest dosage on that one. I doubt your doctor will increase the Cymbalta anymore, and if he tries to...find another doctor! My sister started taking Cymbalta for Fibromyalgia and her appetite dropped a lot, and just a few months later she was pre-diabetic. I have read some other people's comments saying that going on or even going off of cymbalta has really messed up their blood sugar. some people even say that it made them diabetic. so if you are on cymbalta, just watch out for some of the pre-diabetes symptoms and tell your doctor about any weird eating habit changes that happen.

If this is going to be your first child and you are having difficulties, I would consult with a doctor, who may need to refer you to a specialist as mcmcorp45 mentioned. Don't forget to have both parties evaluated for a possible problem.

And Paxil gives more people a rough time upon stopping than any other antidepressant other than Effexor (and, ahem, Cymbalta). Your friend should have been tapered off the Paxil, and maybe was, but if not, and even if your friend was, there's a lot going on now possibly, too much for us to say which is which.

No longer covered by her Medicare, her psychiatrist took her off the cymbalta and abilify. Switched to prozac 40 mg once a day. Last day for cymbalta and abilify was Wednesday. She is having horrible throbbing , headaches, angry outbursts, crying, the "runs", nausea, panic, agitation. She cannot get to sleep and wakes up after 4 hours once she does get to sleep. What she wants to know is whether or not she can take tylenol for the headaches?

I was on Cymbalta and experienced those side effects, but was much better after switching to Lexapro. Good luck!

More than when my thyroid was out of whack. Could the cymbalta be causing this and if so, what if I took it at night?

Ive been on Cymbalta 60mg for a year and very nauseaeted, what can I do? Trazadone 50mg at night for sleep.

) My doctor also gave me some samples of Cymbalta 30mg. I have not yet started on it. My question is are they safe to take together? What about side affects? I do not like the dizziness and weird ear "sounds" that I am getting on the Clonazepam. Also, I am currently on medication for thyroid(Levothyroxin) as well as blood pressure(Cozaar), and Propoxypnen-APAP 100-650MG(for my spinal pain). Should I start on the Cymbalta? Will it interact with my other medication?

13 days and RLS is almost gone using Hylands RLS works pretty good

never heard of it and when you get off the methadone it causes RLS so Im very confused as to why they perscribed it
