cymbalta and low blood pressure

is this normal and does thin mean i should cut back on the blood pressure medicine? it has been as low as 95/60 and i am not used to it being that low and i honestly dont remember what it was like pre cymbalta... i also quit xanax the same time i stopped the cymbalta, i was on the xanax for about 8 years.... needless to say it was hell, and now my hybercondria and agorophobia along with panic is coming back, but i like the fact my blood pressure is low now.....

s from the Cymbalta. My BP is normal in the morning and once I take the Cymbalta it starts to rise. I have a Blood Pressure fact sheet that says to go the ER if it reaches 180!!!! However, I had a Bi-polar relapse this past January and I have been medication resistant for many years. The Cymbalta with Lamictal, Seroquel and Remeron has stablilized me. I also take blood pressure meds but it still goes up. I may be heading out to the ER later; it was 180/ the other night.

Can check at a store your blood pressure or bye a cheap blood pressure kit at wallmart. keep an eye on it and hope you feel better.

Wellbutrin, Effexor and Cymbalta all made my blood pressure and heart rate go up. I take a low dose of Paxil and my BP and HR are just fine. Take care.

My pots came on after I had two surgeries and got a uro sepsis infection all within a matter of 2 weeks and my blood pressure normally runs 90/68 to 110/75 and now every time I move around my pulse goes up to 100 to 150 and my blood pressure up 130/93.... I am currently on no medication.. I was told to take it easy but at least try and ride a recumbent bicycle 30 minutes 4 times a week..

A med I take for anxiety is propranolol. It is a beta blocker used for high blood pressure, anxiety and akathisia.

Other than this it was a wonder drug for me, I functioned quite well, able to do most anything, work, ski ect. After 10 years it caused my blood pressure to go too low, so had to switch to Flexeril 10 mg at bedtime. It also has worked well up until now, my body has gotten too used to it so I am not sleeping well now and it is not helping with the pain, but had no weight gain or bad side effects for all those years. Would definitely recommend this drug for Fybro sufferers! Hope this helps!

Lexapro and Cymbalta both seem to jack up my blood pressure. I always had perfect readings 120/70 50hr On Cymbalta, I'm LUCKY to get 135/80, but often have gotten readings closer to 159/115. Scary as hell. I just quit taking Cymbalta 11 days ago because of this, and my systolic is down but the diastolic is still wanting to hover around 90... I was wondering how long I could expect this to last after discontinuing.. It doesn't look like this forum is doctor moderated though...

Cymbalta is a drug that requires tapering off. The instructions from the pharmacy say this. I'm on Cymbalta too. It's not a drug to go off cold turkey. Your Pdoc will be the one to check with regarding switching from a strong drug to a natural unregulated substance. Are you having trouble staying fit & tone? Good luck. We are here to offer support.

My Psych ordered blood work and showed my WBC count to be slightly low (3.5) and had me drop from 45 mg to 22.5 mg. It went back up to within normal range (4.2). I decided to wean myself off of the rest of the Remeron by taking 11.25 last night. Just wondering if anyone has actually heard of this happening. I know it is a very rare side effect with this drug. I also heard this can happen with Cymbalta too...

I went to the urgent care where they decided to keep me there and evaluate rather than send me to the ER. My blood pressure was 150/105. My blood pressure is normally around 125/60. The doctor listened to my heart and decided I was reacting to the cymbalta. Tonight when I came home once again I dealt with that fatigue. What is going on?

I have had a life long battle with medical issues and even the pharmacist cautioned my at taking the Beta Blockers because he felt that the reason for my heart rate being so fast could be due to a weak heart trying to compensate. You should try to ask a doctor why he thinks your blood pressure is so low. Ask about your thyroid. Hypothyroid can cause low blood pressure among other things. Weight loss could cause your pressure to lower. Get yourself a home monitoring pressure device and take it daily in the morning and evening and adjust your diet accordingly. It sure has helped me.

anything below 90/60 is considered low. I have low blood pressure when i was preganant it was 90/58 but because i have no dizziness the doctor said im fine and we will treat it if it effects me at all.
