Cymbalta and frequent urination

Common Questions and Answers about Cymbalta and frequent urination

cymbalta

I have had frequent urination and bladder pressure for 7 months, with two UTI's negative, and a urologist appointment in a month- I'm concerned! After reading your message I realized it is a good idea to look into ovarian cysts. I never even thought about that until coming to this site. Would you, or anyone else recommend forgetting about the urologist and going straight to getting an ultrasound?
Hello, I took zyprexa (antipsychotic) for 4 years and have taken cymbalta (antidepressant) for 5 years. I gained a lot of weight (50lbs), and started to have insulin resistance problems and high glucose levels. I was put on metformin 500mg once a day for a year. I was told that if I lost the weight my numbers would go back to normal. I lost 40lbs, I am exercising and eating healthy. My doctor told me that I could quit metformin.
The discomfort is not always in the same place, although the most frequent site is the hamstrings. I then sleep, it feels better in the morning, and I do it all over again. I have done lots of PT with no benefit. I have NO weakness, just tightness and pain. My CK level has been checked several times and is fine. No thyroid issues. Any diagnostic or practical advice would be welcomed.
For some reason, the past few days I have been really focusing on it, and am now starting to get symptoms of frequent urination for example. Does anyone ever have that w/ anxiety? Also I am on Cymbalta, obviously it is doing nothing for me. But I think it gives me a dry mouth/increased thirst. When my anxiety comes on, I take this dry mouth/thirst to be a symptom of diabetes! Anyone ever have anything like this?
I had the same thing with the Yaz. I was on Yasmin and switched to Yaz and promptly gained about 5 or more pounds. No problems at all with Yasmin, and I was on it for 5 or more years. I still work out like I did on Yasmin, and I've never eaten a lot, although, the Yaz does make me hungry all the time, and I can't seem to get rid of this bloating. I spot constantly and cramp. I have another friend that is the same way.
in between my big toe of my left foot is numb when I wake up some mornings eyefloaters--seeing black spider looking things that appear and vanish burning and tingling in my legs-temporary chills-which was only temporary shaky hands left leg twitching and my right leg as well twitching when I sleep or at a resting state loose bowels frequent urination (not too bad it just seems that I go more than I use to) insomnia (interrupted sleep) and inability to stay sleep all night without waking head ac
The dizziness resembled being carsick, with lightheadedness and occasional moments of nausea and feeling faint (but I never passed out). I had a CAT scan and blood work twice, and so far no diagnosis for the dizziness/fatigue. It got better for a few weeks but last week I began to have dizzy spells again, this time accompanied by maxillary sinus pressure. I had just switched allergy medications, from Nasonex to generic Flonase, right at the time my symptoms returned.
the prickly itching in my genitals, anus, and buttocks decreased dramatically, and my urination flow returned to almost normal. I feel 100x better than I have for the last 3 months. hope some of this helps. good luck to everyone here.

Through the course of this he has taken meds for sleeping problems, frequent urination, joint pain and anxiety. Our doctor is wonderful but we are just expanding our search for some other possible remedies. We would be so grateful for some additional ideas or thoughts to bring to our physician. Thank you for thinking about our situation. Anxiously awaiting...
In addition to the synthroid, I am also taking Maxzide 75/50, Zocor 40 mg, Cymbalta 60 mg. and percocet 30 mg/day (both for lumbar neuropathy), and Robinul 1 mg twice a day (for the excessive sweating caused by the Cymbalta). OTC supplements, in addition to the calcium, are multivitamins, glucosamine/chondroitin, and omega 3 fish oil capsules.
I have been having urinary issues over the last 3 months starting with very frequent urination, now normal but urine has gotten darker and constanly drinking to stay hydrated. Forgot to mention eyes are dark but I have been having sleep issues. Lastly I have horrible gas problems, more noticbly when I have dairy. I basically can pass gas at will, which entertains my wife and daughter, they say I could play any instrument from trumpet to trombone! Lol.
I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
-vision problems (floaters, contacts not staying focused) -fatigue -muscle/joint/bone pain that seems to move all over my body -itching/dry skin -dry mouth/eyes -generalized aching -frequent urination (somewhat) What is bothering my the most is the muscle/bone/joint pain! I am on Cymbalta for anxiety. I am not wanting to go to the doctor because they think I am nuts. I know it is not anxiety though because the meds have really helped.
I've been tested for Lymes Didease, Jsogren's (spell?) Disease and both came back normal. Also, I have frequent urination and sometimes can't control it. Please help me. Does anyone out there have any of these symptoms and not been able to get a diagnosis? I'm beginning to feel crazy! Any suggestions?
In the past 3 weeks, I have experienced low back pain, random leg pain, hip pain, heartburn, frequent urination, kidney pain and ovarian pain. 3 pregnancy tests have confirmed that I am NOT pregnant. My doctor believes this is all withdrawl. I have never had back pain like this before from withdrawl. I am also not experiencing the headaches normally associated with withdrawl (yet). I may be a bit of a hypochondriac, but these are also symptoms associated with ovarian cysts.
I do not have any urinary tract symptoms except for occasional (but frequent almost daily) burning on the right side of my penis/scrotum and twitch/pin-***** like sensations in the head of my penis. This is not related to urination or ejaculation. Vitamin Bs were all okay when tested. What is BUN?
I have sever pain at the tip of my penis and severe reness and irritation that comes and goes- also tingling sensation- pincing sensation- it gets real itchy as well- I was in the past diagnosed as having Trich which I was treated for- also diagnosed with Prostatitis- hard to urinate- dribbling after urination- pain upon ejaculation...
If it's calcium, and it's elevated, it can cause horrific back and joint pain, headaches, muscle spasms, heart burn, all kinds of gastric complaints, frequent urination, kidney stones, and more...If you've had this condition for years, (and the calcium is elevated) get your PTH (parathyroid hormone) level checked...(It's pretty unusual, so Drs don't think to look for it)...(Look up Parathyroid.com)...

This round that I've been dealing with has been awful with frequent urination and still having dehydration. If this endo doesn't listen I will continue my quest for a doc who will. Thanks for the encouragement. :) I hope things are going better for you!
the doctor said i had Fybro and gave me Cymbalta and doxepin at night but the first few nights I had the worst migraines in a long time. My husband was up with me all night, he is so frustrated as I am, my 13 yr old daughter is upset because mommy is in bed so much...I was taking 10 tylenol 3 a day, but I want to have a liver, so realizing it only masked the pain for awhile while I whip around the house and do myself more damage, catching up on everything that waited...

So I’m going nuts, right? Stress and anxiety and hypochondriac? The doctors seem to state stress and anxiety. I can agree that stress led to some of the symptoms, but I know my body well enough that something happened to it. The only doctor that has seemed to help is the alternative medicine fellow. His findings so far were a “virus” in my system and a staph infection. Honestly, his tinctures have seemed to help the most out of everything done for me so far.
I cant chetch my breath, uncontrolable shaking, dry mouth, rapid heartbeat, and sweating, and some chest discomfort. Then the frequent bathroom trips. I've gone to the ER for this twice and both times they made me feel like I was imagining this. Is there anyone out-there that has the answer to this? Please this is so scary.
burping, passing gas stomach pains chest tightening can't sleep,.... i toss and turn and wake up every hour frequent urination headaches..
First I had the fear of cancer, but now it's diabetes. im always so paranoid and just because I have frequent urination Im all worried thinking I have it. And to top it off I've had burning sensations in my legs today for no apparent reason. It just feels like sunburn and I look at it and it's not scratcher or anything! Then I go back and think OMG this could be a sign of diabetes..so of course I get freaked out all over again.
