Cyclobenzaprine with naproxen

Common Questions and Answers about Cyclobenzaprine with naproxen

flexeril

I went to the ER and was seen by the resident physician, who said from the looks of it, my spine and neck were fine but the muscle in my shoulder was severely hyper-extended from the accident, and prescribed me Cyclobenzaprine 10mg 3x daily and Naproxen 500mg 2x daily. I contacted my PCP who informed me that he would rather not see my injuries due to the other driver in the accident being cited and the insurance company would probably not pay him for the office visit.
Iam suffering with FMS taking Naproxen and Amth atripline to help me sleep and muscle relaxants. However I seem to be getting more muscle cramps from head to toe. Getting scared now that this is going to be more of a daily thing - is it part of the FMS and is there more to self help?
Do you have a prescription for the Cyclobenzaprine? I would look for it and be ready to share it with your potential employer. Also, I would ask them what they found. Are you sure there isn't something you are leaving out? As long as you have a prescription for it you should be safe. It's illegal for them to discriminate against a legal medication that is prescribed by a doctor.
My brother is on welfare and the doctors at the clinic have given him the following meds. Tramadol 50 mg, Trazadone 50mg,Amitriptyline 10mg, cyclobenzaprine 10mg, Hydrocodone/APAP 5mg/500mg. In addition he was also given medication for Diabetes Type II, metformin 850 mg, glipizide 5mg, lisinopril 5 mg, simvastatin 20mg, Asprin 81 mg, Ranitidine 150 mg. Additionally he was also prescribed Naproxen 500mg and Alumina Magnesia 360 ml. I think this is too much medication. Any suggestions?
I was in a car accident March 20th, 2009. I was put on cyclobenzaprine and naproxen for 3 months by my doctor to treat whiplash from mid back to neck. At that time I had a severe reaction to naproxen and developed severe ankle to hip pain. Then my doctor put me on tramadol with cyclobenzaprine. I was still experiencing shots of pain down my arms About a month later, so my doctor had me get a MRI of my neck.
Went to emergency with severe pain in right shoulder, up into the neck and down the right arm (woke up with it). Have been on 500 mg. Naproxen , twice daily, for 3 weeks, and 10 mg. Pms-cyclobenzaprine every 8 hours. I'm still experiencing pain plus some new tingling down the arm. Should I be going back to my doctor? It seems this is taking an unusually long time to get better.
I will often try to follow a seroma for 6 months or more to see if it resolves on its own. Aside from drainage, treatment with a daily anti-inflammatory (ibuprofen, naproxen, meloxicam, etc.) may help relieve the pain until the seroma reabsorbs. An occasional muscle relaxant such as cyclobenzaprine may also help a bit. Wearing an abdominal binder may help to compress the seroma and help it resolve faster.
I am wondering if anyone has gained weight on Celebrex? I have a sprained lumbar, lumbago syndrome with back spasms. I can't take narcotic pain meds. Any alternative to Celebrex? Naproxen does nothing for my pain.

naproxen and cyclobenzaprine. I also take imitrex for my migraines (which hardly helps). Even with these two medications, my pain is peak high. The muscles on the left side of my neck are extremely tight and sore, with the right being less painful. I've been to a few doctors, but no one is telling me what is wrong exactly. I've read some of your answers in this forum, and I see you recommend an EMG quite frequently. What is that exactly, and what does it involve?
also could damage to the 3-7 cervical V be associated with a muscle spasm of the right diaphragm? this all happened after a right shoulder injury...4 months ago. and 30 sessions of physio therapy..an mri that showed no rips or tears to the shoulder..but i am in great pain. and have been on pain meds since the shoulder injury. I find if i stay really still and don't breath....it settles down. The muscle spasms are like parkinsons symptoms..that affect the right diaphragm and right upper body...
No doctor seems to believe me when I talk to them about my situation or they don't care, I have since been prescribed 10mg cyclobenzaprine (Primary care) once a day, 500mg naproxen sodium (podiatrist... bunion, arthritis, hyper elastic tendons causing the joints in my feet to collapse under pressure) every 12hrs, 100mg gabapentin 3 times a day from my neurologist for "minor neuropathy caused by improper long term levothyroxine levels... none of which really does much.
There are seven triptans currently on the market, plus one triptan that is also mixed with an NSAID called Naproxen. I believe that fast acting triptans are the best in most situations because they work the fastest. Fast acting triptans come in orally disintegrating tablets or nasal sprays. I personally use Zomig Nasal Spray and find it works extremely well. I also have found great success with Maxalt-MLTs.
Your doctor may recommend nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) — such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others) or naproxen sodium (Anaprox, Aleve) — in conjunction with other medications. NSAIDs haven't proved to be effective in managing the pain in fibromyalgia when taken by themselves. 2)Antidepressants. Your doctor may prescribe antidepressant medications such as amitriptyline, nortriptyline (Pamelor) or doxepin (Sinequan) to help promote sleep.
This can also be very effective when used together with an NSAID like motrin, naproxen or mobic-mobic is especially effective in treating arthritis pain. Muscle relaxers might be another good option to look into like flexeril, any of these can be used along with codeine or another opiate. I know many like to control pain through any painkillers they can to avoid opiates but opiates really are much safer on your body than tylenol, NSAID's and even some muscle relaxants.
long-acting/short-acting opioid medications, cyclobenzaprine, valium, gabapentin, 4-5 OTC naproxen sodium tablets, and an anti-depressant. I most certainly believe the medications you are taking are helping you and also helping the injections work more effectively. The Gabapentin and the meloxicam are medications that significantly help reduce sciatica.
When I get these pains its painful to take deep breaths Its my last year in graduate school and i haven't been able to go to classes or work this past week and its very hard to concentrate on anything because of the pain. I've been on percocet, naproxen, tylenol-codeine, and cyclobenzaprine. THere are days when nothing seems to work. All my bloodwork has come back normal and I am currently waiting to try and get an MRI done.
(I had a subtotal hysterectomy in '03-I am now 44) I was prescribed Naproxen 500mg 2x day for inflammation, amitriptyline Hcl 10mg per night for migraines and pain, cyclobenzaprine 10mg 2x per day for intense muscle spasms, and percocet 5-325mg 1 per day as needed for break through pain. I have gained 20 pounds since May '09-previously 136 lbs. @ 5'6" steadily for almost 5 years-lower weight before that due to Hyperthyroid of unknown origin-no hyperthyroid now. Early Dec.
The doctor prescribed Naproxen when I attended for the 3rd rabies shot, I had been dealing with the pain using Robaxacet and Motrim and she thought maybe the anti-inflamatory might help. The Naproxen didn't help and I bought more Robaxacet and pain patches. A friend at work, in putting some deep heat rub on my back when the pills were not helping enough noticed a swollen lump (baseball size) on the other side of the pain/tender point on my back (between my spine and the right shoulder blade).

I've been on percocet, naproxen, tylenol-codeine, and cyclobenzaprine. I 've been taking the percocet for 2 weeks straight and i really don't want to get into the habit of taking it because of the sideeffects but nothing else seems to work.
Now that doctor will not refill them as she cannot give an accurate diagnosis and treating with narcos without a 'diagnosis' is bad juju. So now that means I am left with nothing. Nothing but the memory of a little pill that could help me achieve a reasonable quality of life that I cannot otherwise do.
It is an extreme ache down to the bone, that is unbearable at night. Even with pain medicine and sleep aides, I get about 2-3 hours a night. Finally, I went back to my own doctor and asked if he could help me, he said yes. He sent me for an MRI, and then to an Orthopedic Surgeon.
How long does hydrocodine show up in your system for a drug test. I take this drug for the pain I get with Lymes Disease. I'm starting a new job and they will ask for a drug test. How soon do I need to get off of them so it don't show up on my test. Thanks.
i have an appt with a urologist in a week, but it still scares me that there are others out there with the same symptoms and no treatment available!
