flexeril

Avatar m tn Flexeril is a muscle relaxant thats often prescribed for muscle stiffness and pain. I have never heard of it for restless legs.
Avatar m tn I have used it is the past as a muscle relaxant and found it fairly effect. However it was not as effective as cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) for muscle spasms. Frequent warm baths go hand and hand with these drugs, at least in my humble opinion. I hope this information is helpful. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Concidentally someone else was asking this exact question with the same pill combination (the green/yellow capsule along with an unmarked yellow pill) about a year ago... Quote follows as to the answer about the unmarked pill: --------------------- "There is really no way to identify an unmarked tablet. But, since your capsule is tramadol made in Mexico, it's possible the small yellow tablet is cyclobenzaprine made in Mexico.
Avatar m tn Have you tried a muscle relaxant? Also, is Physical Therapy effective? Avatar n tn s taken long enough and the dose is high enough it can be life threatening. Out of the muscle relaxant category of pharmaceuticals, such as cyclobenzaprine, mthocarbamol, barclofen, etc. carisoprodol is said to be the most likely to be abused. I have never heard of a soma patch it obviously it does exist. A patch might be little eess likely to be abused since you cant keep taking more and more pills and ti can be controlled as far as the drugs release into the body from the patch.
Avatar n tn Although both these medications help with nerve pain and associated ailments neither is an antianxiety agent. Cyclobezaprine is a muscle relaxant and similar in structure to the early tricyclic antidepressants and may therefore help provide anxiety relief. Talk to your doctor about more specific anxiety relief if you feel it's needed.
Avatar m tn I am not familiar with a patch or cream that contains a muscle relaxer. So I have done a search for a Muscle Relaxant Patch or Cream and turned up nothing. Usually I can find it on line if it exists. This is not to say there isn't one. So many medications are coming out in the transdermal application that it would not surprise me if there is now a muscle relaxant the is delivered through the skin.
Avatar m tn Try a decongestant or go see a t m j specialist. He can give you a muscle relaxant, cyclobenzaprine to take at bedtime. Also buy a cheap mouth guard, the thin ones like from target or Walmart. Make sure it is one that you don't need to boil and size. I find those ones bulky. Wear it at night. This along with the muscle relaxer took the puffing sounds away in my ears.
1243543 tn?1269124022 ve taken cyclobenzaprine myself for muscle spasms. When you first start taking, it might make you feel a little strange, and it can blur your vision a little. But as you begin to get use to it these side effects tend to go away. You don't have to be frightened of it, just be cautious. And don't drive or anything, til you get used to it. I've never heard of anyone taking half a pill, but its probably a good idea until you get use to it. And hopefully, it will make you feel better.
Avatar f tn Mind you i did finish that exact regime last night with a muscle relaxant.. they do work!! I’m on cyclobenzaprine. I suffer major teeth grinding at night, it helps relive the intensity of the grinding, along with wearing my appliance.

I looked online about the drug interaction and they say could be deadly. I am very worry. Any advice of what I can do? Do I gonna be okay?

Avatar m tn flexiril (cyclobenzaprine),a skeletal muscle relaxant, can help during tapering off opiates. I had used it for a couple of times that i also detox off heroin and oxycontin. every one is different, but many find that it helps them sleep and helps ease the muscle aches, spams, and cramps. Obviously it wont alleviate a majority of the symptoms it can still be useful along with other detox meds (clonidine, valium,zofran,etc.).
Avatar f tn They diagnosed me with a cervical sprain and prescribed me Cyclobenzaprine and Tylenol-Codeine as well as applied a muscle relaxant shot and sent me on my way. I started the prescription regimen that day. Two days later, I began to lose hearing in my right ear. It felt as though it was "full" of water or wax or the like. I visited a different clinic (as I was in another city) and they prescribed me a steroid and informed me that my eardrum had filled with fluid.
Avatar f tn Hi. I am wanting to quit taking Cyclobenzaprine. I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?

Unless you suffer from a palsy-type disease, or have been diagnosed with a condition like tortion dystonia, baclofen may not be the best muscle relaxant for you. Ask your doctor the reasons she is weaning you from baclofen, and for a substitute muscle relaxant.

Avatar f tn I'm on cyclobenzaprine which is a muscle relaxer. I'm on it to help me sleep though. I have had no issues and my baby has been healthy my whole pregnancy. If your ob says it's okay that means the benefits outweigh the risks. If you think only taking it when needed is best and it works okay for you then I'd do that.
2085202 tn?1373199740 Have been on lorazepam and cyclobenzaprine muscle relaxers then have been taking them rather frequently but still following the proper dosage instructions. Started getting respitory depression think I almost died....stopped breathing in sleep...lungs seemed depleted yet constricted...weak in the diaphragm. Went off it now and now feeling what seems almost like heart attack symptoms.

1329025 tn?1278334460 Baclofen is a medicine used frequently in multiple sclerosis patients as a muscle relaxant. One “side effect” to this medication is decreased muscle tone that may make you feel weak and tired. These are the usual dose limiting factors for baclofen. Other side effects include dizziness, difficulties with sleeping, slurring of speech, and difficulties with coordination of muscle movements (i.e., ataxia).
