Avatar n tn after reading ryanmitton's post from april 2007, I decided to try a harder mattress as a test. In our home office we have an old cotton futon. It is rarely slept on, but I gave it a try one night. I woke up feeling 90 percent better than I have in months! The next issue was how to an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>makean> our usual bed more comfortable. Avatar f tn I dealt with this for 2 weeks and then had an EMG test done which said the problem was in the nerve root at L5/S1. I have no other scatica pain just the foot problem. I saw a neurosurgeon and he prescibed Nuerontin and Flexeril. I have taken the Nuerontin for roughly a week now 300mg and tomorrow I have to up the dosage to 300mg twice a day all the way up to 900mg total. I was wondering what type of side effects anyone has experienced on this medicine.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor my new doctor, My last doctor was horrible rude, didn't give an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> ten seconds. this Dr is kind, listens, he asked me to let him be in the drivers seat, I said I would but I'm scared. my last doctor I went to gave me pain killers because I hurt so bad, what he an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>failan>ed to tell me was they were addicting. The good part they help, the bad part I know it an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>willan> be hell getting off of them.
Avatar f tn Yes, I saw that--but in my opinion Cialis would work better if there was erectile dysfunction--difficulty in maintaining erection. Please get an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r urine and semen tested and try and get a second opinion. Try the non-pharmacological methods I have suggested. They may help. See if an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> can consult a sex therapist or a counselor who can teach an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> ways to delay ejaculation also ask the urologist whether any creams to desensitize the tip and shaft of penis are available in an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r country.

Avatar m tn I had/have fatigue, exercise intolerance, muscle spasms daily, and muscle cramps that would wake me up in the middle of the night in random places. These cramps were similar to getting a charley horse, but in my neck, bicep, traps, or hip/thigh. That muscle would be sore or "pulled" feeling all the next day. I also was having arthritic symptoms in both hands, feet joints, and knees. They tested me for gout and Rheumatoid arthritis (Ra) but both tests came up negative.
Avatar n tn I was first diagnosed with bipolar endogenous depression way back in 1986. Things in life were going good. New baby, on the fast track in my industry, and was sitting in a line of traffic waiting to get into the parking lot at work and WHaM! was like a switch was thrown. Up was down, left was right. Panic attacks, black thoughts, sense of no control. I was put on cyclobenzaprine based meds...ellavil and triavil.
Avatar f tn Print it out if an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> want and take it to an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r doctor....I don't care. This drug is, in my opinion, very dangerous in many ways and should be avoided. I take Ibuprofen now, but have only just stopped feeling the last of the withdrawal effects. (I hope) Don't let an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r doctor convince an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> that these are worst-case-scenarios, or scare tactics, as some have been told. Take along the IP address of this site if need be.
Avatar n tn My wife eventually came around, but she is a conservative and saw my drug abuse as a moral weakness and a direct slap in the face to her. This is tough for husband, but addiction is a family disease- it affects all those involved. Keep visiting this forum and an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>willan> find loads of help and support.

Avatar n tn an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>'ll be exchanging a situation where an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> periodically get clean and stay clean for a while, falling off the wagon like me and then cleaning up again, for a situation where an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>'re tied to a drug every single day, not to mention tied up in a daily reporting program. Like I said, I haven't been there/done that with methadone, so I'm just giving an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> some food for thought. as always, Chad, my friend, chart an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r own course -- just have an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r eyes open and be prepared for the consequences.
Avatar f tn Wrong I have gone through 7 surgeries in the past 8 months to recunstruct my teeth and jaw. I have been taking this medication (hydro) regularly for the entire time. Finally I tried to stop taking the medication and found myself very ill. I did not understand the problems it can cause. I sat down with my doctor yesterday and she was wonderful. Because I have been taking 5 to 6 pills a day she decided to slowly take me off them.
Avatar n tn But long term use can cause such lovely conditions as 'moon face,' where the drug redistributes the fat in an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r face. Not a pretty sight. also, agressive, sometimes crazy behavior. Not a good drug for someone trying to stay off the controlled sub's. anyway, I'd grill an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r doc about the side effects, then quiz some pharmacists. Take care.
1322872 tn?1275105462 Tramadol should never be given to another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a secure place where others cannot get to it. Tramadol can cause side effects that may impair an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r thinking or reactions. Be careful if an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> drive or do anything that requires an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> to be awake and alert.
Avatar n tn I work with a woman who I believe has a severe addiction to vicodin. We work in a medical setting at a retirement community and she has access to narcotics. Pills have been stolen but we do not know quite how to confront her-she is the Director of this community. Please give us an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r advice!

I don't know what to do,I know this time that if I do not get professional help...I an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>willan> die or end up in jail. I am SO SCaRED!!! I just need people to talk to, I an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>willan> be checking the board for responses throughout the rest of the day and night.
Avatar n tn How long does hydrocodine show up in an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r system for a drug test. I take this drug for the pain I get with Lymes Disease. I'm starting a new job and they an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>willan> ask for a drug test. How soon do I need to get off of them so it don't show up on my test. Thanks.
147426 tn?1317269232 Small lesions in unusual areas in brain. Multiple lesions detected in cervical cord since at least 2005. Last neuro concerned that last lesion may be a tumor in the center of the cord; Radiologists say either MS with prior aDEM or TM possible and/or mets of CNS. So much fun. Referred to MS Clinic but unable to get in as of yet. Avatar n tn I can't stay in one position for too long and sleeping is almost near impossible (unless drug induced)! I just heard back from the doctor this morning and after reviewing my last three xrays and latest ct scan, he informed me that the graft is migrating into the inferior bone below. Is there anyone out there that has gone through as many problems as me? I'm beginning to think that all of this is hopeless!!
211940 tn?1267884866 I also had the pin/needle test in my arm, which the doctor said that he had to stop because I couldn't stand the pain! The good news is that MRI's of the neck, C2 to C6, of the elbow and arm, of the shoulder showed nothing abnormal except for normal aging issues. (I'm seventy, so I'm on the Home Stretch of my life.
Avatar n tn I treated the heartburn with 1/2 tsp of baking soda in 1/2 glass warm water,(it an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>willan> cause an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan> to burp because it is neutralizing the acid) and the anxiety seemed to lessen. The heart is right behind the esophagus, (in fact there is a heart test that is done by slipping a scope into the esophagus to look at the heart, called a "transesophageal echocardiogram"), and I think acid reflux can somehow cause an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>youan>r heart to race which feels like anxiety and a panic attack.
