t had too many wierd side effects other than the sleepiness and since it is not time released you can cut it in half if you need. I'd suggest taking the 1/2 and if it doesn't work take a whole 10mg thing and see if it helps. Flexeril helps me better than the other similar strength stuff so I try to take it at night and then again first thing in the morning.

Thanks for your advice and the link. I'll take a look at the link. I think they use beta blockers for PVC but I'm not sure. I am getting symptoms like fatigue and sometimes a flutter or shortness of breath. One of the side effects of flexeril is irregular heart beat. I'm glad I had a normal EKg or ECG and that my doctor already said my heart sounds very strong. So, I'll be going in today to see if they want to stop meds and/or try the halter. It is always something, I swear.

Hi I have been taking Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for about 9 months now (doctors request). I have noticed that my heart beat has been skipping a couple of beats. Then, lately it is skipping more and I feel very tired in the afternoon. On Saturday my palms of my hands turned blue for about 15 seconds. I have gone to my GP and had a 12 lead ECG and the doctor said my ECG was normal and the heart sounds very strong. I understand a PVC (periventricular contraction) may not be seen on an ECG.

You are right, certain medications particularly muscle relaxants and antichlinergics, interfere with the results of EMG like baclofen and flexeril or cyclobenzaprine that you are taking. It would be prudent to apprise your neurologist of all the medications you are on, so that the EMG results are appreciated in that light. Muscle biopsy can be taken up after an EMG. Consult your neurologist for his preferences and expertise. Take care.

Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?

If you absolutetly need something I think that flexeril is your best option. I used it and you are right, it just puts me to sleep which might be what you need. Of course, don't drive while taking it...you know the routine...Good luck!

More plausible causes of hoarseness of voice need to be checked like acute laryngitis, vocal cord nodules, allergies, gastro esophageal reflux, smoking, thyroid problems, trauma to larynx, parkinson’s disease and trauma to larynx. Consult an otolaryngologist who will evaluate the causes and treat likewise.

And it's always good to hear from you!! I don't think you'll have a terrible time with a taper. I took Flexeril for awhile but it produced such a "hang over" effect that I could barely function the next day. I was employed at the time and needed to be as alert as possible. I tried a few others but either they weren't effective or they produced the same side effect as Flexeril.

I just remembered that about a year ago I was prescribed some muscle relaxers for my neck (Cyclobenzaprine). Do you guys think that if I take one or two of them when I am having a hard time sleeping from the restless legs s**t that it will help me sleep?

I have been doing warm pool therapy and exercises to strengthen my core, and am certainly doing a lot better. Enough to try getting off the 20 mg flexeril at night, but have been having side effects from this.

I have been on Baclofen for about a month. I wasn't sure if it was working until I forgot to take it one day. My legs were shaky and weak and spastic and spasm-y until I took my next dose. I've noticed that the Baclofen also helps with my bladder and bowels. I'm on 10mg once a day and have found that that's all I require for now. I've never gotten sleepy from it or had any noticeable side effects at all.

The oxy alone is not working for the pain I wouldnt have mind trying the Flexeril but I read seizure is a side effect? if it is I am a leery if it is not a side effect I am willing to try it. However it was not as effective as cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) for muscle spasms. Frequent warm baths go hand and hand with these drugs, at least in my humble opinion. I hope this information is helpful. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

How long have you been clean from the hydrocodone? Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) is a popular muscle relaxer these days - and it only presents very limited problems with it being a drug of abuse. The instant sleep thing will go away after you establish a routine with it. Wish that I could really help you - but yours isnt a common complaint with flexeril. Do you do any breathing exercises?

I use Flexeril (Cyclobenzaprine) 10 mg every night at bedtime. If I don't, my feet an calves will remind me in the middle of the night.

I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? Not sure you're right about taking two or more of these can cause it. Two of the drugs affect serotonin, but only trazadone does this primarily. However, any of these drugs by themselves (not including melatonin, which is not a drug and is one of the safest supplements ever studied) could cause all of your side effects and the combination wouldn't be appealing to me.
