Common Questions and Answers about Cyclobenzaprine and side effects

flexeril

1243543 tn?1269124022 t had too many wierd side effects other than the sleepiness and since it is not time released you can cut it in half if you need. I'd suggest taking the 1/2 and if it doesn't work take a whole 10mg thing and see if it helps. Flexeril helps me better than the other similar strength stuff so I try to take it at night and then again first thing in the morning.
Avatar m tn Is the surgical resesion of the prostate safe? What are the side effects ,?
Avatar n tn 55am, I forgot I took the celexa and I took Cyclobenzaprine. Do you think is something I should be worry? I looked online about the drug interaction and they say could be deadly. I am very worry. Any advice of what I can do? Do I gonna be okay? How long apart I can take those two medications?
1283286 tn?1312911966 It is the medication that made her so fat. Look up the side effects in Google. Neurontin and Lyrica are both severe weight gaining and hardly help. My friend had the same nerve pains but "believed" in Neurontin, and I did not dare to say that she is round like a beer barrel. One must put every pill like on a scale and see, "Is it worth it or not"....Since she had anyway nerve pains, I just was wondering but did not want to hurt her feelings.
Avatar m tn I am having some severe side effects concerning short term memory loss, irritability, and fatigue. I have taken Ibuprofen 800mg, nortriptyline HCL 25mg, promethazine 25mg, acetaminophen COD#3, cycmbalta 30mg, pamelor 25mg, cyclobenzarrine 10mg, hydrocodone 500mg, methycprednisolone 4mg, tramadol HCL 50 mg, and viagra 100mg. My question is will any of the medications i was subscribed or taken in combination have symptons of severe memory loss?
Avatar m tn Usually it does not aggravate the pain but some of its side effects may be sudden numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body.It could be possible that the repetition of dose might have aggravated the pain. You should followup your neiroohysician.
Avatar n tn Hepatic Impairment In a pharmacokinetic study of sixteen subjects with hepatic impairment (15 mild, 1 moderate per Child-Pugh score), both AUC and Cmax were approximately double the values seen in the healthy control group. Based on the findings, Cyclobenzaprine HCl should be used with caution in subjects with mild hepatic impairment starting with the 5 mg dose and titrating slowly upward.
5657776 tn?1371799886 If yes, then please adjust the timing of the doses with your doctor because taking them together or close to each other can increase side effects like dizziness and drowsiness. Also, please do not drink alcohol or drive while you are taking these drugs. Do discuss this with your doctor. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar f tn My neurologist just gave me some samples of Amrix, a time relased form of Cyclobenzaprine Hydrocholoride. He prescribed it for the pain and limited range of motion caused by tight neck muscles that didn't respond to stretching excersises. This is day two and I find it a remarkable improvement. I take it once a day in the evening and it seems the main sleepiness side effect is over while I sleep while the benefits remain the next day.
Avatar n tn It is a good drug however, with no noticeable side effects or drug interactions.
Avatar m tn There was a study of 14,500 people who have side effects while taking Flexeril from FDA and social media. Among them, 3 have Seizures. The incident in low - but any incident must be reported. Flexeril, may lower a person's seizure threshold - according to one site. I understand why you are concerned. I really encourage you to talk to a good Pharmacist - indeed I would ask several.
Avatar f tn but you may want to post this on the substance abuse side where there is more action this is the social side and fewer people are reading....but i am researching it also to see if i can help you!
Avatar n tn Hi, Tingling in hands and feet and muscle twitches is a side effect of Cyclobenzaprine. It may be aggravated due to prolonged sitting in a position for a long time. You have gone for MRI of the neck. Please go for an MRI of the entire spine. There could be a nerve compression in the lumbar region caused by improper posture or prolonged sitting. Please go for physiotherapy and a neurologist consultation after going for the MRI of spine. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
Avatar n tn Can I take Hydrocodone 10/325, Cyclobenzaprine 10mg, and Tramadol 50mg together safely?
Avatar n tn cyclobenzaprine, there is nothing that helped enough to endure the side effects, which included severe mood swings, difficulty urinating, disorientation & hives! (What is this stuff, anyway?) At any rate, I am again experiencing these flashing-pain headaches, & nothing seems to help. They wake me up at night & make it difficult to do anything through the day.
917815 tn?1377498254 I dont post much (read a lot though)...a little over 3 weeks clean (again, LOL)... My right shoulder has been killing me the last 2-3 weeks, and this weekend, seems to have gotten worse; Doc said on Fri, most likely muscular...went through the weekend with Tylenol and today, pain is even worse. I asked him for something "non-narcotic" (he knows about my addiction) and he suggested Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer).
Avatar f tn Hi. I am wanting to quit taking Cyclobenzaprine. I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Avatar m tn My Neuro just put me on Amrix. Has anyone ever taken this and what are the side effects? I looked it up on line but would like to get some feedback from some people that have tried it. Did it help you? Does it make you feel hung over in the morning?
Avatar f tn You are right, certain medications particularly muscle relaxants and antichlinergics, interfere with the results of EMG like baclofen and flexeril or cyclobenzaprine that you are taking. It would be prudent to apprise your neurologist of all the medications you are on, so that the EMG results are appreciated in that light. Muscle biopsy can be taken up after an EMG. Consult your neurologist for his preferences and expertise. Take care.
1329025 tn?1278334460 These are the usual dose limiting factors for baclofen. Other side effects include dizziness, difficulties with sleeping, slurring of speech, and difficulties with coordination of muscle movements (i.e., ataxia). The symptoms you describe of right arm weakness and jerking of legs could all be related to the medication. I am not sure what you mean by breathing difficulties. Were you wheezing?
483757 tn?1208481255 I am 35 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. My OB took me off of all of my Fibro meds at the beginning of pregnancy. (Meds were- Neurontin, Cyclobenzaprine, Baclofen, Trazodone, Vit. D and Tramadol) The only thing she will allow me to take is 1/2 to 1 tab of Vicodin 10/500mg a day even though narcotics have NEVER worked for my pain and she knows that- and I hate Vicodin.
Avatar m tn Muscle relaxants like carisoprodol (Soma), cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), and even diazepam (Valium), and clonazepam (Klonipin) are not narcotic agents, although the last two are benzodiazepines. Ask your doc about dantrolene (Dantrium).
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi Tuckamore, FYI, I went to the doctor yesterday and he said Flexeril is known to cause skipping heart beats and other problems like that and I have to go off of it tonight. So, I went off the Flexeril last night and has some trouble sleeping but took an antihistamine and I seem to be doing ok today. So, far my heartbeat is better. I hope that does the trick. I looked up the side effects of Flexeril and <1% get the arhythimias and so I guess I'm in the 1% as usual.
1414174 tn?1304680526 I started noticeing side effects at about 8pm, and they continued till this morning. I experienced a low grade headache, aches in my upper legs and lower back, some difficulty sleeping, and an awkward kind of dizziness (which I notice now seems to immediately follow my Riba dose). I am a Genotype 1b, with what I was told a 6log Viral load?? I have clean and sober for over 6 years, and am pretty sure I contracted the virus about 7-8 years ago..
7829857 tn?1401192659 I am grateful to have been cleared at the 4 week mark. I was just feeling that the side effects were getting worse and worse and i was battling discouragement. I am very grateful for your help and admire the way you are handling this!
Avatar f tn I am 55 yrs old female and went for a physical and was told i had high blood presure, that day it was 144/92. I had a blood test and it showed high cholesteral 257. Doctor put me on 10 MG Lisinopril. I took the tab for 5 days on the fifth day my heart was pounding so hard in my chest and i felt like someone was sitting on my chest. This happened a few more time over the next week and it would go away after a few min.
Avatar m tn 22 days on sovaldi-olysio-no side effects, not even a headache. And to this life long non responder who has done and failed with everything that has been on the market, this combo is working.Cant believe I am getting better and not suffering like I did with all the previous poison. Its like Dr. Bones McCoy from Star Trek brought this stuff back from the future.
Avatar n tn I woke this morning with aches and pains and have been experiencing a headache on and off all day that is when I am not SLEEPING. Honestly I am not complaining especially since I had expected much worse. My question is do the symptoms change or/and get worse as treatment continues. I would assume they do get worse since the meds build up in your body. I have 3 kids ages 16,11,and 7.
