For the last year I have been taking15 mg Morphine2 times a day, and 5mg oxycodone HCI For pain in back and hips, and knee. I just had surgery in my chest and the pain level is 10 by times 10. they increased the oxy to 10 mg every 4 hrs and the Morphine 3 times a day 30 mg a day. with little effect.

I'm willing to try anything at this point to get the pain to stop.

2 months ago I requested to drop to the 10mg Oxycontin. I also have been taking Meloxicam and cyclobenzaprine PRN. I asked my GP, who I have been seeing since early childhood and who I trust completely in medical matters, to attempt a Non-narcotic treatment plan. He took me off the meloxicam and put me on Toradol (Ketorolac) 10mg 3xDaily. Now, I have researched a bit about the drug, checking the insert and also several websites, such as Drugs.

My rectum and vagina prolapsed and my womb was falling out. I went into surgery and had an A&P repair, partial hysterectomy and an umbilical hernia repaired. My problems started out as OCD. Then chronic fatigue syndrome, followed with debilitating migraine headaches. A couple of years later I had to have surgery to remove endometriosis and a cyst on my ovary. After six months I got pregnant and I had my second son by C-section.
His back has gotten worse over the years and drs say he needs surgery, but we can't afford for him to be off of work and they only gave him a 60% of working anyways. So he takes 6-8 10mg/325mg of oxycodone a day, 1-2 10mg of cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer) a day, 1-2 ambien at nights and now the dr just added 2 10mg of methadone a day. By night he is slurring his speech, falling asleep. I am so angry about all these pills.

However, he said it could NOT be causing me so much pain. He checked out my arm and noticed a hard soft tissue knot, and suggested removing it through surgery and it "might" relieve my pain. So, 3 weeks ago I had the said surgery and it was removed (a hard soft tissue mass about the size of a marble). No, this was not the cyst inside my humerus bone. Anyways, I still have the pain, and it is extremely terrible at night (on a scale of 1 to 10, a 20 at night).
Taken alone is makes you feel relaxed, rarely any euphoria, and very drowsy, but in combination with opiates it adds to the euphoria fealt from opiates and sedative sides effects. Taking soma and vicodin make it feel similiar in strnegth to taking oxycodone, which is stronger. Hi and Welcome Tramadol Warriors, Please come on in and make yourself comfy. All are welcome.
I have both hydrocodone (Vicodin) and oxycodone (Percocet), and have only used them when it was necessary, because they have always made me nauseous. I have cut them all in half to take them, and know that I need to take them with food, and just before I lie down for the night. Could I be addicted to my pain medication? I would hate to think that I might be straddling the line between necessity and addiction.
) with a visual trigger (seeing the “wheel” on “The Price is Right” triggers the smell--I know, weird), strange tastes (citrus-like, metallic) that come and go randomly, and the weirdest of all—a “fizzing” sound and sensation in the back of my neck, lasting between 15 seconds and 2 minutes, and which happens both at random times, and oddly enough, when I’m hungry . I have no idea what causes these strange things, and the doctors that I have been brave enough to tell, have dismissed them.
My pain has not decreased and the pain in my right arm and hand and the numbness wake me up constantly at night. I take oxycodone ir 10mg times 8 per day. It really does keep my pain level down and I also take 2 ibuprophen at the same time. My pain is becoming worse and I had an mri done in June 2013 that showed compression at c7, I work for the local highways maintenance department where I live and do a variety of duties. My doctor straight up asked me how I think I could manage without my pain meds. Seriously?! My life would be a living hell!!
and now today my leg and back pain is very intense and none of my meds or ice seem to help..i take gabapentin 300mg tid and meloxicam 7.5 bid(not sure if these even work..plusa new rx for norco 7.5/325 and 10mg cyclopenzaprine tid..is the pain i experienced normal? and if the injection don't work what's next? I have been taking oxycodone for about 2 years. I have gradually gone up and up on my dose, but still suffer with problems with pain and headaches. My Dr. and I came up with a plan to go off of the meds cold turkey. I was taking about 60-80mg/day depending on the day. She prescribed me .05mg of clonidine, zofram, lorazepam and something for my stomach. I took 5mgof oxycodone on day one and 5mg on day 2. Today I have not taken any oxycodone.
I've heard over and over again on here that tramadol is absolute hell to get off of. Like people are complaining more than someone who is trying to get off harder opiates. What's the big deal with this drug? Can someone answer me with specifics? Also, is there anyone out there that has just taken it for a short time and then stopped with no problems? I just got clean from harder prescribed opiates, but am now taking tramadol for my chronic pain - after tylenol and ibuprofen don't work.
Tizanadine, Nortriptyline, cyclobenzaprine, lidocaine patches, and oxycodone/ace DR: and? ME: Only the Oxy seemed to work... guess that rules out muscle problems right, since 2 separate muscle relaxers didn't help? Neither did lidocaine... I tried explaining that the pain feels much 'deeper' than something a topical numbing compound would help with. DR: No, not necessarily. Scheduled to 'Trigger spots next month' ME, to myself: Glad I have to wait ANOTHER month of my life in pain.
Hydrocodone (schedule III, in bulk formulations only containing hydrocodone its schedule II) is a opioid that is a mild potency opioid, in between codeine and oxycodone. oxycodone (Percocet, Oxycontin, Tylox) is about 50% stronger than hydrocodone , where as hydrocodone is about 50% stronger than codeine.

I'm trying to find out, and withcout asking a Doctor, maybe someone in this forum can answer. Is Percocet 10/650 stronger than Lortba 10/650 ? What is the diffence between oxycodone and Hydorcodone? If you know the answer please put a posting, these are presecribed to me for the pain of Migraines and I'd like to know which one is stronger for the pain.
I will start by taking 5 pills for 3 days, 4 pills for 3 days, 3 pills for 3 days, 2 pills for 3 days and then and optional one pill for 3 days. I skipped the first part and started with 4 pills for 3 days. I only feel a little nausous at times. However, once the medication starts to leave my body will it become worse and worse? Or is this method of detoxing your body the best? Also is it true the more you take the harder the withdraws are.
I've tried the slow release oxycodone but it makes me too tired and I absolutely prefer vicodin. Like so many other people I've read on other posts, it just makes me feel normal. I don't feel "high" - it just offers pain relief (not completely but enough so that I can function) and I honestly don't know how I am going to deal without it.
