This week I will be starting a double-blind study to see if 30 mg is effective for FMS pain. I won't know for some time if I'm using the placebo or the actual Cymbalta. I am sensitive to medications and I am a skeptic, since I've done badly on everything I've tried before. I do more natural therapy than I do pharmaceutical. I guess I will also find out if this stuff will help with the number of and intensity of the chronic migraines, too.

The spasms are like a charlie horse and to the point of having to be hospitalized for 3days. The M.D. put me on Cymbalta 60mg per day, Nortriptyline 25mg, and cyclobenzaprine up to 40mg per day, this keeps the spasms to a managable state but they are still present. I have had tremors in my arms and hands I have had them for a couple of years but they are increasing in strength and frequency. They are slightly present at rest but while trying to do anything with my hands it becomes much worse.

I am so very tired of being in pain. I have been diagnosed with depression, I suffer from PTSD.
In the last 4 months, Since August 2007, I have had 2 very bad TIA strokes, 2 bad TIA strokes, 1 very bad - hospital says some sort of allergic reaction I inhaled from the air - reaction to something that made my throat sweel up and start closing in on me and I was getting a smaller and smaller area in my throat to breath. I was rushed to the hospital and treated me and after 5-6 hours they released me being ok. But I was still not ok.

He offered Cymbalta, which makes me so weak, and lyrica and gabapentin. I refused all expect a new pill, cyclobenzaprine. He said, “This pill is a slow release pain killer and you will be almost pain free.” Oh, why didn’t I realize history repeating itself? Well, once again, I was foolish and took the pill. Just as I swallowed it, my husband reads the info out loud from the ‘net, “Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant.

However, he said it could NOT be causing me so much pain. He checked out my arm and noticed a hard soft tissue knot, and suggested removing it through surgery and it "might" relieve my pain. So, 3 weeks ago I had the said surgery and it was removed (a hard soft tissue mass about the size of a marble). No, this was not the cyst inside my humerus bone. Anyways, I still have the pain, and it is extremely terrible at night (on a scale of 1 to 10, a 20 at night).
I didn't have any rectal muscles for 10 years. My rectum and vagina prolapsed and my womb was falling out. I went into surgery and had an A&P repair, partial hysterectomy and an umbilical hernia repaired. My problems started out as OCD. Then chronic fatigue syndrome, followed with debilitating migraine headaches. A couple of years later I had to have surgery to remove endometriosis and a cyst on my ovary. After six months I got pregnant and I had my second son by C-section.
I am on OxyNeo and Tramadol for pain plus Cymbalta, Cyclobenzaprine and Temazepam. I know that these meds can cause constipation, but my major concern is the large size and round shape of most of my bowel movements. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. I have recently moved and just found a new GP, so there hasn't been an opportunity to get a referral to a specialist yet. Thank you for your time.

) with a visual trigger (seeing the “wheel” on “The Price is Right” triggers the smell--I know, weird), strange tastes (citrus-like, metallic) that come and go randomly, and the weirdest of all—a “fizzing” sound and sensation in the back of my neck, lasting between 15 seconds and 2 minutes, and which happens both at random times, and oddly enough, when I’m hungry . I have no idea what causes these strange things, and the doctors that I have been brave enough to tell, have dismissed them.
2nd Dr diag depression and prescribed Cymbalta. On 30mg Cymbalta, symptoms back to the same to worse as before Xanax, to which he added .25mg Zyprexa which now gives similar relief to Xanax. I've been on several anti-depressants and muscle relaxers, the latest being cymbalta, cyclobenzaprine, and tramadol. I did test positive on ANA and sed but "not enough for a diagnosis." So, here I am in limboland. I know fibro is a diagnosis, but with the lesions, etc. I think that there is a piece of the puzzle missing. Thank you all for responding. It feels good to have people who understand what I'm going through.
Other Rx's taken over this 3 month period included Prednisone, Numbematrone; Relafen; Cyclobenzaprine; and Cymbalta. Does anyone know what could have caused this? He told me to only have 1 pill every day, gave the script to my husband (who came along) and told him to hold my pills and give me one every day and no more. He also put me on some anti-dep called Cymbalta because he said my long term chronic pain has me depressed---shoot, I knew that already! They are appealing the insurance company (bastards) who denied my 2 disc replacement surgery as experimental.
