Every time I get cracked lips, and it is often, I think I am getting dehydrated. There are a lot of days in the winter that I just don't feel like drinking water and I think it takes a toll on skin and lips. I use Bert's Bees too and it helps some but I mainly have to refocus on the water.

My lips have been chapped, sore, cracked, red and irritating for absolutely ages. I have dermatitis and eczema on my face and arms, so could it have been transferred through scratching to my lips? The down side is that they hurt. The tissue around the lips is cracked, and the corners are the worst. What can I use on my bottom lip? Currently cracked open, not healing, and can't keep anything on it for long. Eating or drinking it causes it to open again. Use aquaphor at night, but nothing stays on during the day.

I have been having this problem for around a year and maybe more now and during this i have been looking for solutions in the web and from other peers. Alright, well, first off, since I was a child, I've been getting cracked lips on the corners of my mouth on rare occasions. I'm now 17 years old, and I still get them every once in awhile during the cold weather, or if I don't get enough hydration, but since I've been drinking lots of water, these cracked lips haven't appeared in a long time. I dont have cracked lips, no dentures, drink a fair amount of water, and no cracks in the corner of my mouth. Perhaps it is from breathing through my mouth too much? Thanks. Rob.

Lips dry due to needing more hydration. Olive oil works for adults. Would that be safe for a baby? Never looked it up...
