Common Questions and Answers about Cpap supplies orland park

cpap

Avatar f tn I would love an answer to this question too. I had been using Fertility Centers of Illinois in Orland Park, but that doctor doesn't believe enddo affects fertility (SERIOUSLY?!). Now I am seeing Chicago IVF for fertility, but I need pain management too. I had a lap done in October, but I still have pain and last night the pain was really bad.
Avatar f tn My friend's company replaces his CPAP supplies whenever he asks. They give you instructions on how to keep it clean. Obviously nobody wants to do it, but there are consequences. Otherwise they would let you do it the easy way. Now you have unexplained lung nodules, so you will have to get a biopsy to find out what is going on. Nobody here can help you.
747266 tn?1401745317 One year ago I was diagnosed with Severe Sleep Apnea. I was given a CPAP to sleep with. The machine seems to work however there are times when I take it off. Most recently, I gave birth to premature twin girls. While I was in the hospital I used the CPAP as instructed by the hospital staff. the doctors fed my daughters every three hours around the clock. I never used the CPAP machine at this time. Eight months later I am still not using the machine. I hope this makes sense.
Avatar f tn t do too much active stuff though I am constantly encouraging him to go ride his bike or got to the park. He has been on a cpap machine for 6 months with no improvement. And we just got labs done thyroid is normal but has a cholesterol of 220 and his liver enzymes are elevated one of them is double what they are supposed to be. Something else is going on but I don't know what. Someone please help me figure this out.
Avatar m tn Did not help at all, but made CPAP a little more tolerable. (First few tries with CPAP gave me very bad sinus headaches.) RDI went up a little. CPAP is not working well as I still have a lot of nasal blockage when I lay down. Wake up after about 3-4 hours with a very sore throat. Tried oral appliance. Wake up after a few hours with a stuffed nose. Dentist noticed nasal blockage due to nose injury (football) and referred me to an ENT. Have done 2 RF turbinate reductions.
Avatar f tn Shhhhhhh - your brain and body are listening. Give yourself some positive self talk, such as... I can do ANYTHING for just 30 days. Sleeping in my own home and bed will be nothing like in that lab. I'm going to take advantage of this change to get 30 days of real quality sleep. I'm glad that CPAP increases my likelihood of a good surgical outcome and recovery. I'm glad the next 30 days I will be at reduced risk of heart attack and stroke.
559187 tn?1330782856 Did you know about the phone-in discussion on cpap machines that Dr. Park is organizing for August 3rd? I think I will register for that one since all the information I can get now will pay off down the road. I know insurance will only pay for one machine every 5 years like walkers and wheelchairs. So, I don't want to make a mistakes the first time around. Did you say that you are going for a 3 night study? I haven't heard of that before.
961503 tn?1247059639 Go back to whoever you get your cpap supplies from and ask about a full face mask. The chin strap did not work for me....... I had to get the mask that covers both nose and mouth. Hope that helps!
Avatar n tn Hi Bonniedee, Welcome to the forum. I think the jury is still out on that question. A while back someone was collecting information about the way we sleep (stomach, sides, back) and if we had cold hands and/or feet- etc. I can't remember who asked the questions though. This same person contacted another doctor: Dr. Stephan Park, he had something to say on the topic- but again, I don't believe the answer to your question has been decided yet.
Avatar f tn Pressure support ventilation, where air under gentle pressure is passed into the airways keeping it patent. A CPAP delivers continuous pressure for both inhaling and exhaling. As this supplies continuous amount of air pressure the person has to exhale against this extra pressure. This makes it imperfect or unsuitable for certain people, such as those who are suffering from neuromuscular diseases.
Avatar n tn I am also seeing him at the River North location, but he also works out of the Orland Park location in the south suburbs. Good luck to you on your journey!!!
679466 tn?1247006054 I have mild obstructive sleep apnea. PO2 only drops into mid 80's sometimes, mostly low 90's, but overnight polysomnogram says I have 13 apneic events per hour. I've tried O2 overnight (used neighbor's) and PO2 stays in the high 90's. Is that a sufficient treatment?... or do I need the positive pressure of CPAP. I've tried the CPAP and I've completely failed. Mostly keeps me from sleeping well unless I'm on Ambien.
9924471 tn?1419954420 Im summer, 12 wks tomorrow, delivering at little company of mary, live in orland and been craving burgers from portillos mmm
Avatar dr m tn No crowding. In fact, I have some good-sized gaps in my lower teeth. I have TMJ and wear a splint at night, which really helps me keep my mouth shut for CPAP. My splint is the same size as hubby's, so I probably have a fairly large jaw. I never had any wisdom teeth, so the other ones had plenty of room to roam free.
Avatar f tn However, the 2 titration studies I had seemed to have been focused on apnea; the CPAP pressure used only reduced my RERAS to 12/hr hour, and the sleep fragmentation was worse than my diagnostic study. I have used CPAP faithfully for 3 months, trying every setting from 5 to 9 cm. None of these pressures restore my sleep - I am waking every hour or so and feeling as tired as ever.

712042 tn?1254569209 I'm looking for pearls of wisdom, advice and general 'user' comments on CPAP.I'm newly diagnosed with sleep apnea, and more importantly long and frequent episodes of decreased oxygen due to airway obstruction. I didn't know I had an apnea problem. I am now on day 11 of CPAP use at pre-set minimum of 5 lbs pressure which auto adjusts higher as needed. And nothing goes with this new sleep outfit! Any thoughts? Joan.
5002615 tn?1366014009 I got the really big Hershey bars and colored in the SHE park pink since I'm having a girl.
233622 tn?1279334905 Welcome to the club. CPAP made a tremendous difference for me in terms of the quality of my sleep. I think it's been two years or so. I do have OSA. I've never really understood the difference between hypopnea and obstructive sleep apnea. I think I understand central sleep apnea, and to be honest, I'm surprised more MS patients don't mention that. I'm sure our friend Dr. Park could add some clarification here, if he reads this forum regularly.
Avatar m tn They told Craig he has moderate to severe sleep apnea and needs a CPAP immediately. So it is arriving tomorrow. It is the size of a laptop computer and has a "smart card" in it that records data during the night while the person is sleeping. We then take the card to each follow up appt and they will download the information on it. Anyway, the sleep doctor was telling me that many problems could be caused by sleep apnea.
Avatar n tn I was told that you correct it with a CPAP or variant of. I understand this, but what is causing this to happen. I had two sleep obstructions, four nuero, two mixed, and 29 hypopneas. I never went into Deep sleep NR3 or NR4. It recorded I had zero leg movements, but I kept popping off the leads on my legs from moving them. Venting aside, what is the path I must follow to get the underlying cause answered? Since childhood I have many symptoms of Narcolepsy and other sleep Disorders.
559187 tn?1330782856 I recall while in the hospital the nurses doing their rounds mentioned my snoring and were concerned that I was having apnea. The nurse suggested that I use oxygen. They put me on 2 L at night. The respiratory therapist came in one day noticed I had the oxygen set up and asked why they were giving it to me. I told her that it was for apnea. I was told that that was the wrong thing to do.
Avatar m tn What did you sleep study results say? You may want to do a trial with a cpap machine to see if this may help you, probably with a full face mask since you have difficulty breathing through your nose. I suggest posting on the sleep breathing forum where you can ask Dr.
Avatar f tn Yes, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea earlier this year. They were surprised. They said I did not have the "throat" of a sleep apnea person, I'm thin, non-smoker, no drugs, don't snore, don't sleep with my mouth open etc. They thought it was just narcolepsy but did the 2 sleep studies and said sleep apnea in addition. I have no obstructive, no central, no hypopnea's but had quite a bit RERA's (respiratory effected related arousals).
307874 tn?1242755798 A friend, when I was awaiting the day for my appointment at the sleep center, noted that she'd never known anyone referred for a study who wasn't told that they have sleep apnea and should be on CPAP. The tech who wired me up for the night noted that he had seen quite a few, but acknowledged that nearly all persons sent to them for a study are pretty good candidates for a diagnosis in the first place, or they wouldn't be sent there.
