Common Questions and Answers about Cpap supplies online

cpap

Avatar f tn My friend's company replaces his CPAP supplies whenever he asks. They give you instructions on how to keep it clean. Obviously nobody wants to do it, but there are consequences. Otherwise they would let you do it the easy way. Now you have unexplained lung nodules, so you will have to get a biopsy to find out what is going on. Nobody here can help you.
Avatar n tn If you would like to help this individual, please go to the website described in the answer above (the JDRF website) and send a statement to the Online Diabetes Support Team saying that you have supplies for this person in case this person contacts them. But do this only if you are offering the supplies free of charge, for this organization cannot supply contact info for commercial enterprises.
332074 tn?1229560525 I know that they are going to put me on a cpap machine. I know I would do okay with the mask that is just the two little prongs that go in your nose. However in the past when I have had surgery I have gone crazy when they have put the mask over my mouth and nose. I have always had very bad allergies and can not stand to have anything touching my nose and mouth. So I was wondering how do they determine what is the best mask for you to have?
961503 tn?1247059639 Go back to whoever you get your cpap supplies from and ask about a full face mask. The chin strap did not work for me....... I had to get the mask that covers both nose and mouth. Hope that helps!
Avatar f tn Glad to know the CPAP does make a difference . There are some great CPAP online communities and those folks will be able to tell you how to fix the humidity if you can't get instructions online. If you have a Redmed, which seems to be the one the majority of us have, changing the temp is pretty simple but you are still not going to get it up to body temp.
Avatar f tn Pressure support ventilation, where air under gentle pressure is passed into the airways keeping it patent. A CPAP delivers continuous pressure for both inhaling and exhaling. As this supplies continuous amount of air pressure the person has to exhale against this extra pressure. This makes it imperfect or unsuitable for certain people, such as those who are suffering from neuromuscular diseases.
Avatar f tn hazyworld, some are able to effectively treat their apnea with a dental device, but not everyone. Have an honest talk with a reputable provider about your chances of it working for you. They are designed to pull the lower jaw forward, and some complain of pain or have TMJ trouble. But some are willing to do anything to avoid using CPAP. I didn't like CPAP at first either. Are you on oxygen because you aren't using CPAP or with a CPAP?
Avatar n tn I have sleep apnea and was using the cpap machine but used it only once cause i could not at all sleep with a mask on my mouth and I could not aford to pay for it. So I returned it ,but now i cant sleep and during the day at abut after 12 noon i feel really tires and headaches and very sleepy . So i take caffine pills everyday to stay awake. I know taking pills is no the answer and I should be using the machine. My question is is there any other way to cure my problem with out the machine.
107693 tn?1252864443 I am having a hard time gettting use to the CPAP. I asked for the nose pillow when i got the results, thinking that i would like it better, It has been two weeks so i asked for the small mask. I was also told that i need to use CPAP with the water. When i wake up I find the need to take it off, then when i go to put it back I get very anxious, palpitations or it feels that my heart is racing. So i sleep without it. I have thyrothis with six nodules. had a FNA results were negative.
Avatar n tn Hello, I'm 27 years old and have been diagnosed with mild to moderate sleep apnea. I am not overweight and I cannot stand the CPAP. My ENT said I'm a good candidate for UPPP, but from all the horror stories I read online, I opted to just have a tonsillectomy. After a couple weeks after the surgery, my sleep apnea symptoms returned. My symptoms are that I wake up gasping for air in the middle of the night. I am now seriously considering UPPP.
Avatar n tn m a single mom with a son who is a diabetic and we have a state insurance plan and the only two places we know to get Insulin Pump supplies is through MIni Med and Liberty Medical and we are not covered through either place with our insurance!! We use to have medicaid and could get them easy but since they cancelled our medicaid and gave us this state insurance we are unable to get it through those two places and he is in DESPERATE need of some supplies!
Avatar n tn Sometimes doctors get free samples of things like test strips and he may be able to get some strips for you. I also suggest that you go online and find the maker of his glucometer and test strips and contact them directly. Often, the manufacturers can send samples. But you need to contact the doctor first, for he will be a very sick boy if you wait for some samples to get mailed to you.
415305 tn?1202804817 I, too, have some pump supplies I'd rather see go to a needy, fellow diabetic rather than...where ever it is you're supposed to dump them (OR some "supplies flipper" trying to make a profit). I'm concerned that since my insurance technically purchased them, are there negative legal implications for giving them away (or sold as some people I see here are doing)? Not to mention they're a prescibed item and legally require an Rx to obtain. 'Just curious.
7585726 tn?1397871765 I take forever in a store so no one likes to go shopping with me lol so I started shopping online.
461551 tn?1328992584 One thing I found out,,,, Walmart . com (online) has tons of cribs and dressers, with free shipping to your local store! It's fairly nice stuff too, and lots of 4 in 1 convertible cribs to choose from, at reasonable prices... I'm having to be a bargain shopper, hahaha since I am buying two of everything...
Avatar n tn You should also consider joining one of the various online support groups where experienced CPAP users get together to help people in your situation.
485772 tn?1208701878 I recommend that you go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) website at www.jdrf.org and click on the link to the Online Diabetes Support Team (ODST), then fill out the request form that pops up. Ask this question, and you will be put in touch with the staff person who handles requests for supplies.
Avatar n tn Had sleep study, left study with a sleep apnea machine, discovered it would cost me $140 a month, have high insurance deductible so shopped online and found same machine brand new fraction of the price, called my sleep doc for a copy of my prescription....was told "its against policy to give you a copy, we don't approve of obtaining your equipment elsewhere" DO I NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO THE RX AND TO CHOOSE WHERE TO PURCHASE IT?
Avatar n tn There are two possible solutions: move to one of the new mini CPAP masks. Second use Refresh PM ointment in both eyes at bedtime and Refresh or Systane ULTRA artifical tears on awakening.
8071871 tn?1398900696 Just jumped out the window =( I'm supposed to be going shopping for party supplies for my son's 6th birthday but I walked him to school and came home first... my body now loves me for picking my bed to rest in. Any ideas how to get re-motivated to do this?
Avatar n tn A couple of weeks ago (on March 7), "whispers" posted a question on this site about diabetes mastopathy. One of the Comments submitted to that question was from Galzee who has extensive experience in medical reimbursement/insurance issues. She gave instructions there on how to reach her. Perhaps she can help you, too. If I remember right, she was going to away for a week or two, so please be patient. When she returns, I'm certain you'll hear from her... Good luck!
