Avatar m tn now and I have seen no improvement in my sleep. I use the nose pillow mask because of me being a side sleeper but I find me waking up with my mouth open and sometimes there is drool. Should I try a full mask to see if that would be any better for me?
Avatar f tn Definitely the Boppy body pillow. I have always been a stomach sleeper, more towards a side with one leg bent. When it started to get uncomfortable I got the body pillow & it let me sleep that way for a while longer. Now I'm almost 32 weeks so it's always on my side, but I can't wait to lay on my stomach.
Avatar f tn its ok until it becaome painful. and it will. I'm a tummy sleeper to and I found with my son i was able to sleep on my stomach until about 4 months when there was a bump there but this time I find I can't really fall asleep on my stomach, only on my side.
Avatar f tn I naturally a back sleeper, but I sleep on the left and right side which I wake up sore. I put a little travel pillow behind me when I'm on my side so when I wake up on my back I'm not completely flat. I do have a half moon body pillow. The pregnancy pillow that goes around your whole body works to but I'm not using it this time around since my 18 month old always winds up in our bed. Which I have to break soon.
Avatar f tn I'm a tummy sleeper myself and a pillow is really helping. It took a couple days to get use to it but I'm almost 20 weeks and I can't sleep on my stomach anymore and don't even try.
Avatar f tn I was told its fine, but once you get further along try not to, I used to be a huge belly sleeper but now I'm more of on my side sleeper lol
Avatar f tn ) thanks for the feedback ladies! Helps my decision for sure!
Avatar f tn I'm a stomach sleeper and with both my pregnancies I slept with a pillow just like you, atleast until I got bigger then I slept half on side half on stomach with a pillow between knees.I never had any trouble with it hurting my babies.
Avatar f tn My doctor said I could sleep on my stomach as long as it is comfortable. I too am a stomach sleeper and I kinda do a half stomach have left side sleep with the help of a pillow....kinda like the position your in when you get a prenatal massage, if you have had one of those. (leg bent on top of pillow, other leg straight) It is actually pretty comfortable, but annoying if you want to flip sides in the middle of the night.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy pillow is available of a different kind and you need to recognize which one will be comfortable for you. For example, wedge pillow will be good who is a side sleeper.
Avatar f tn You need a pregnancy pillow, one that's specifically made for pregnant ladies. Try to make a habit of laying on your side and back. Even when you're just relaxing and not asleep, lay on your side or back.
1755745 tn?1313367131 Hi ladies, Does anyone have any advice for sleeping comfortably at night? Trying to sleep on my left side only is making me crazy already because I've never been a side sleeper (I know all the experienced moms are thinking, "And it's only going to get worse--just you wait!") Is there any other position that is okay or that has worked for any of you? I keep reading all this scary stuff about sleeping on your back...
Avatar f tn I'm 17+4 with my 2nd child. I have a pretty big baby bump right now, but I still sleep on my stomach, with one leg propped up on my bf or a pillow to relieve some of the weight off my stomach.
Avatar f tn Im a back sleeper as well...theres nothing wrong with laying on your back as long as your not on it 24/7 ..atleast thats wat my doc says...youll know when its time to stop bc it will get so uncomfortable and difficult to breath...I swap out from my back to my side ...
Avatar f tn m not sure about hurting the baby, but have you tried a body pillow or something that might help prevent you from rolling on your stomach? I too am a stomach sleeper and took me a while to side sleep and everything has been fine- maybe invest in one of those pregnancy pillows they might help curb stomach sleeping :-) good luck!
Avatar f tn I got a body pillow and sleep half tummy half side with that, I put one leg up on the pillow to help support my belly...it's the only way I can be comfortable now.
Avatar f tn I sleep on my right side because it feels more natural (I am also a belly sleeper) but I found that a pillow between the legs really helps. Have u tried that yet?
Avatar f tn I tuck a pillow under my belly and hug it. Then sleep with an additional pillow between my legs and spread then out. Sometimes I'll roll back, tuck the pillow, then roll onto it. I'm 37 weeks and it's been a savior.
Avatar f tn I make a little nest for my belly with the pillows. But lately I have been on my right side leaning onto my belly with my body pillow between my knees, under my belly and under my side.
9727950 tn?1421595533 Once you hit about 15-16 weeks, my doc said you shouldnt sleep on your back becuase it reduces the oxygen for your baby-- but i can sleep just fine on my stomach! I obviously sleep slanted on my belly lol but if you wedge a pillow in between you where your belly can rest, its very comfortable!
1926656 tn?1334970201 I'm not a side sleeper, never have been. I'm a back sleeper. I'm 19wks with my second kid and have tried like crazy to side sleep. It makes my back hurt so bad that I end up on my back anyways. I slept on my back with my first kid too. Even if I do somehow fall asleep on my side I wake up on my back. everyone keeps yelling at me to stay off my back since I'm already having issues and need to see a slew of specialists. It's just to hard!
Avatar f tn If you can breath your good. I would always put a tiny pillow under your hip to keep baby to the right.
374593 tn?1257879950 I'm a back sleeper too and can't figure out how I'm going to sleep on my side all the time. It hurts my back! Guess I'll have to buy a body pillow and deal with it for the next 6 months or so.
Avatar f tn My doctor said it's perfectly fine what ever position I sleep in as long as I'm comfortable and have no pain. Before I was pregnant I was a stomach sleeper I've gotten used to my side. They say left side is comfiest and best for blood flow but to me my right side is comfiest.
Avatar f tn LOTS OF PILLOWS!! Lol or at least one good huge body pillow. 7 1/2 months. Let me tell you, you need Support on your growing belly when lying on your side, in between your kegs because the belly gets squished if you don't. Ouch. And for your shoulders and head too. I use a long fluffy pillow that accomplishes all of this w my regular head pillow. Helps me a lot to sleep on my side because I'm a Stomach sleeper by nature..
Avatar f tn I used to be a tummy sleeper but then at about 12 wks had to go to my side. (left side to be exact) I found if i put my bump on a body pillow it wasn't so bad. but if it is no longer comfy on your stomach its time to turn.
Avatar n tn I personally ditched all pillows for this pregnancy and have slept better! I'm a side sleeper though and so it works. I do use one pillow to plop between my legs and I'm almost at the delivery stage...
1736415 tn?1310564586 whats the best pillow for neck, shoulder and back pain? When I lie down I get a sore neck and my shoulder can play up from time to time also which spreads to my back. Could you advise me of the best pillow that I could get please? Its a big stress for me sometimes getting a good night sleep!
Avatar f tn I propped myself up slightly with a pillow behind my back, placed a pillow on either side of me and laid them on my chest in a way which their heads were higher than their bodies. Or I laid on my side with them up near my face with a pillow behind them, laying swaddled on their back. I will do the same when my newest addition is born. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you are NOT under the influence of any drugs or alcohol and that you are not so tired that you are unaware of your baby!
Avatar f tn 38 weeks & STILL can sleep on my stomach... I'm obvi a true stomach sleeper! Lmao it is possible, comfortable not all the time but I manage. If I stick a pillow on the side of my belly & lay slanted on the pillow, it makes it much easier on my stomach & back!
