Avatar f tn I live in Naples, FL and I have spent hours searching for a doctor who would be able to naturally treat my thyroid and adrenal problems in Southwest Florida. I've come up with no one so far and I'm at my wits end. If you are unable to recommend someone in my immediate area, I would be willing to travel to the East coast or to the Sarasota/Tampa area to be treated by someone good. Thank You!

514349 tn?1272801633 I have other sleep problems, but I have not yet had to go to a CPAP. I understand if I wish to go to a CPAP my doctor requires I do another overnight in hospital (or other sleep study center) CPAP test to determine the best "settings" for me. So far I am CPAP free.
Avatar f tn OMG!!!
5466288 tn?1410485185 Thanks for replying.I was afraid that would be the answer.I do have sleep apnea, but due to moving and needing new mask and other equipment,I haven't been using my CPAP.
Avatar m tn coughing, sinus drainage), and you are using a CPAP/BiPAP machine then yes, it can be related if your not keeping your equipment clean. it can also cause headaches/migraines.
Avatar f tn Also, I am having a machine delivered and set up by a tech in 2 days. Which machine is easiest to handle. I have heard horror stories about CPAP. The main problem was the fact that the air is blowing back at your nose when trying to exhale. Can't this be adjusted. Help me to know what to expect and which machine is best.
967168 tn?1477584489 ll leave the technicalities to someone else, but in general untreated apnea is not good for the heart, or any other part of your body. Whoever provided your cpap equipment should see you through whatever it takes to be successful if you keep going back to them. There are web sites dedicated to helping others with adjusting to cpap. Just sounds like your heart doesn't need the stress of sleep apnea, whether it is causing the problems or not.
Avatar f tn There's a super inexpensive doctor in Sarasota FL. Dr.Pabon he did mines. 5000k all inclusive.
Avatar n tn i live near sarasota, fl any doctors there, we have been to 2 different gastroenterologists, well, so far not much help....
Avatar f tn I had originally gone to the center fro Sight in Sarsota FL to have cataract surgery on my left eye. After a thorough exam it was determined I had a tear in my right retina that had healed itself and lattice and some lattice in the left eye. They would not do cataract surgery until I saw their retina Specialist, Dr. Brandon Parrott, due to risk of retinal detachment. After seeing Dr. Parrot he confirmed the tear that had healed and all the lattice in both eyes...more than normal.
Avatar n tn Last year, Jan 29, I had my thyroid completly removed due to thyroid cancer ( so i was told before the surgery), even though in my records it shows a goiter. So that is still debatable, the diagnoisis that caused me to have the surgery. I have been put on synthroid 200 mcg daily.
Avatar m tn ) I no longer have the blemishes or marks on my face and am still getting the benefits of the CPAP equipment. What other solution is there other than throwing the dang thing at the wall and saying to heck with it ... and believe me I have been tempted but I like the air and all it's benefits so I am inclined to do it this way. :) Hope this helps. BTW ... I have an under the nose cushion and also a partial face one ...
Avatar f tn Yes he is in the Sarasota area north of Pt Charlotte . I am south of pt charlotte about 50 minute drive. Sarasota is a 30-40 minute drive north of pt charlotte if you are going to south side of sarasota.
Avatar f tn ve found that using a fully data capable CPAP, one that allows ME to access my therapy data each morning encourages me to continue w/CPAP therapy even when I am having difficulties as the data helps to point out what the difficulties are - most often just too high a leak rate. I've used and been happiest w/the Resmed S8 Elite, then the Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage and then the Resmed S8 VPAP Auto when I needed to be switched to a bi-level PAP due to my COPD.
