My friend's company replaces his CPAP supplies whenever he asks. They give you instructions on how to keep it clean. Obviously nobody wants to do it, but there are consequences. Otherwise they would let you do it the easy way. Now you have unexplained lung nodules, so you will have to get a biopsy to find out what is going on. Nobody here can help you.
I am a 32 year old male diagnosed with sleep apnea, so I was given an auto-pressure CPAP machine. Just as soon as I started using the machine it felt like I was struggling to exhale. The sleep company representitive said that the machine starts out using the lowest possible pressure, so I shouldn't be having a problem.
I tried to use the machine for a couple of hours and I had the sensation that I had to take off the machine and struggle for breath, as I can't seem to exhale.

Complex sleep apnea is actually a combination of both obstructive and central sleep apnea seen in some patients.
Patients with complex sleep apnea at first appear to have obstructive sleep apnea and stop breathing 20 to 30 times per hour each night. But unlike typical obstructive sleep apnea patients, their breathing problem is not completely alleviated by a CPAP (continuous airway pressure) machine.
Anyway should i not be wearing ear plugs using a cpap? And or should i discontinue the cpap until the ear infection is gone? Or is maybe the machine just set entirely too high? Like i said the machine forces me to sleep in minutes and also for the duration of the ear infection i wont wear ear plugs. Would this cpap issue have the ability to be fatal?
A particularly bad night would leave by heart skipping for days. A sleep study and CPAP therapy completely cured the problem. Yo umight want to look into breathing problems while you sleep as a cause for your problem.
I have just got a CPAP machine and have had 3 nights with it. I've had sleep apnea for many many years and finally did something about it. My questions are for those who've been through the "getting used to it" process.
Oh I bet. I live in bay ara Fremont area as well and it was warm. Took a nice cold shower before bed to help. It did a little. Good luck today because its going be anothers hot one.
There are two possible solutions: move to one of the new mini CPAP masks. Second use Refresh PM ointment in both eyes at bedtime and Refresh or Systane ULTRA artifical tears on awakening.
I found out what it was. The CPAP machine mask I just bought was putting pressure on my eye nerves. The air blowing through the tube was blowing straight into my eyes. No wonder I couldn't focus and my eyes were having problems focusing. I have only been using the machine a few days. Who knows
what kind of damage it could have done. I called up the supply company and destroyed their ears for about a half an hour!
thank you for your reply.. i am located in Fremont, CA. Its been aprox. 2 months id say as far as i can remember. And it seems to be my only real symptom. Yea im looking into finding a free clinic or something that can run a few free tests. im litterally living paycheck to paycheck and have absolutly no extra money. any ideas?
If you have any indication this could be an issue, maybe you could ask what the cost would be to do a home trial for a couple weeks on an auto titrating cpap machine. It would at least determine if you are having obstructive apneas when you sleep, even though a sleep study would be much more informative and give you a fuller picture of your sleep issues.
4 mile pretty steep incline hike up Mission Peak in Fremont, CA for the first time on a Sunday. On Monday my knee was feeling fine, on Tuesday there was a mild/medium pain, but later when I got home that day it flared up and I was in a lot of pain. Throughout the night from Tues night to Wed morning it hurt to extend it and it hurt to bend my leg. I took 800mg of ibuprofen to at least keep the swelling and pain down.
i just went for my second sleep study to be hooked up to the cpap. the first one said i quit breathing and was breathing very shallow. once i get my new machine how long will it take to be back to 100%. i could tell the morning after that i did feel a little better and did not have a headaache.

My wife uses a cpap machine with moisture every night. She has had two bouts with pneumonia this winter which she never had before using the cpap machine. Questions: Can breathing in excess moist air into the lungs by means of the cpap machine overload the lungs with moisture and cause problems?
