I notice that the Express Script drug I now use is made by Apotex whereas the original Walgreen brand was Cozaar. I went back to Walgreens and asked the pharmacist if there was any chance that the Apotex was inferior/impotent to the Cozaar for some reason. She assured me that could not be the case and that there could be no difference. Losartan is Losartan is Losartan. As an experiment(with GP consensus), I doubled my dose of Apotex Losartan from 50 to 100 mg a day for one week.

Can you go have the Cozaar filled at another pharmacy?

I think after this month, that will be 3 months on losartin(cozaar), I will see how my blood work is then add vasotec to the cozaar wait 3 months check my blood work and make a decision on dropping cozaar for vasotec. It was first published as far as I can see that losartan reduces fibrosis in 2000, that sure seems much to long a time lag between discovery and clinical use and I'm sure it is that way across medicine.

Change the background color and extend the amount of post on each page by double and it wouldn't be as bad.

If you have high blood pressure then ask your doctor to put you on losartan (Cozaar) Not sure what a doctor would do without high BP. You could search clinicaltrials.

I have recently stopped taking Coreg 6.25ng and started on Cozaar 50mg to manage my blood pressure which is working out really great according to measurements. I was weaned from Coreg by taking just my dosage at night and skipping the morning one for two weeks and then to stop. Since about a week after I cut down to once a day I started to notice a constant pounding heart.

It was very bright in color(un normal),and very heavy.(un normal) towards the end of my 7 day period it was still very heavy, I had major cramps I've never had and the color was still very bright! I realized the plan b could change my period so I calmed down. Finally day 7 and my period is going away and slowly turning to its correct ending color..but than I started experiencing lower back pains, cravings,headaches and dizziness..than 4 days later(feb.19th.

I have a one year old Australian Shepherd. She is a red merle, with amber colored eyes. In the last month or so, I have noticed a "color change" in her right eye. My MD put me on Hyzaar for hypertension. Previously I had been on Cozaar but she changed it to Hyzaar for the added benefit of the diuretic. I noticed my drug company autosubbed generic Losortan. The bottle doesn't say anything about hydrochlorothiazide being included. Could I be getting the wrong thing, or should I assume some form of hydrochlorothiazide is included?

I opted for the RAI (3 months ago) and I take cozaar (6 months now) and in these last 3 weeks I am suffering from muscle fatigue, muscle cramps if I stretch them too quickly or exercise them. Could the cozaar be causing the problem or is the disease the problem or both?

Usually my pharmaqcy p[uts a little tag on the bottle telling me the medicine might look different if they have changed suppliers----just call and talk to the pharmacist to verify that the color change is still the right medication.

Well, I didnt know 50 mcg was a colorless synthroid.! (I am color blind with shades anyway LOL). To comment on "Do you remember when you first started taking thyroid meds?" It was Synthroid,..... in 1998 I think. , but I think I started at over 50 mcg. And it did almost nothing as far as relieving my symptoms. Stayed hypo. I wondered what the point was back then. Now with any T3 med, I need to make increases very slowly, I am in the process of that now.

There are studies going on at Johns Hopkins concerning cozaar to see if it can stop or reverse the growth of aortas, which it has done in mice. My son has taken Cozaar and his beta blocker for three years and his aorta has not grown wider...so this is good news!
