cozaar generic price

My MD put me on Hyzaar for hypertension. Previously I had been on Cozaar but she changed it to Hyzaar for the added benefit of the diuretic. I noticed my drug company autosubbed generic Losortan. The bottle doesn't say anything about hydrochlorothiazide being included. Could I be getting the wrong thing, or should I assume some form of hydrochlorothiazide is included?

I am taking Losartan, which is the generic of Cozaar. Like Benicar (which is not available in generic yet, I believe) it is an angiotensin II inhibitor. There are usually very few side effects associated with these drugs, but their action on the biochemistry of the body is complex, so anything is possible. I have Hashimoto's disease, which means I am HYPOthyroid. Before the Losartan, I was taking 90 mgs of Armour (which is T3 AND T4) daily.

Patent comes off dec 2009 if I recall. As far as cost - if you have insurance once it's generic it usually goes on the cheaper generic copay list if you have that sort of insurance. so for instance if with your insurance you pay $30 for non-generic drugs on the approved list and $10 for generics on the approved list - you'd be paying $20 less/month for your valtrex. Typically it's 30% reduction in price when it goes generic initially for paying out of pocket. drugstore.

This drug is still available as a generic, it looks like the price of the drug has increased due to higher cost for Walgreens to purchase it. I'm afraid the other drugs available for BPH will probably be as or more expensive than Doxazosin, but I would check with your local Walgreens pharmacist for more price options.

it is a wrong name for drugs just to make more money for the first drug maker who did the drug generic is the same drug made from another drug maker, this is why the name generic is very wrong, generic sounds like the drug is different but only drug maker is different.

I have looked at different types and am a bit confused as to what is the difference between clomiphene citrate (brand) and clomid(generic)/ ovinum. Just thought I'd let everyone know -- I picked up my refill for Tirosint this morning and the price has doubled, from what I've been paying. I've been paying $85.44 for 3 months; that jumped to $170.88 for 3 months. My insurance doesn't cover it, though it does save me a few bucks ($55 on this refill). Express Scripts normally prescribe 90 days at a time, could this be where the confusion lies? Call a local pharmacist and just ask the difference in price with them, if the generic is cheaper then you know to question Express Scripts. It sounds like a mistake to me.

I think after this month, that will be 3 months on losartin(cozaar), I will see how my blood work is then add vasotec to the cozaar wait 3 months check my blood work and make a decision on dropping cozaar for vasotec. It was first published as far as I can see that losartan reduces fibrosis in 2000, that sure seems much to long a time lag between discovery and clinical use and I'm sure it is that way across medicine.
