s right, it is more preferred than ACE inhibitors since it does not cause side effect particularly cough. I am taking cozaar too ;D another is maybe you become tachycardic because as we urinate (which is because sodium excretion is promoted by cozaar), blood volume decreases, as a result , increase in HR occur to compensate in low blood volume by trying to pump more blood. that's the reason i think behind the tachycardia thing.

For the past three days I have had a non-productive dry cough which has me fatigued, feeling heaviness in my chest and a little short of breath at times. I have recently and in the past cleaned my bathroom floors with straight chlorine bleach on the floor pouring water over it and mopping. The odor is strong and I must keep the door closed.
I only have a dry cough when I'm in an air conditioned area, when a fan is blowing and always when I lay down on my couch. What can this be? And how do I stop the cough? If its a type of asthma, I would like to know if I need an inhaler.

Hi, I am 34 years old. I am having dry cough for About 2 months. Doctor has given me some antibiotics and ventolin. Antibiotics have finished and were a week prescription. I am taking ventolin. But the cough has not improved at all. It is usually at evening to night and early morning time.

I've been taking cozaar 100mg and amiloretic for 3 months I have stopped it for 4 days now my feet ankles are swollen and I have mild headaches
My MD put me on Hyzaar for hypertension. Previously I had been on Cozaar but she changed it to Hyzaar for the added benefit of the diuretic.
I noticed my drug company autosubbed generic Losortan. The bottle doesn't say anything about hydrochlorothiazide being included. Could I be getting the wrong thing, or should I assume some form of hydrochlorothiazide is included?
I notice that the Express Script drug I now use is made by Apotex whereas the original Walgreen brand was Cozaar. I went back to Walgreens and asked the pharmacist if there was any chance that the Apotex was inferior/impotent to the Cozaar for some reason. She assured me that could not be the case and that there could be no difference. Losartan is Losartan is Losartan.
As an experiment(with GP consensus), I doubled my dose of Apotex Losartan from 50 to 100 mg a day for one week.
I think after this month, that will be 3 months on losartin(cozaar), I will see how my blood work is then add vasotec to the cozaar wait 3 months check my blood work and make a decision on dropping cozaar for vasotec.
It was first published as far as I can see that losartan reduces fibrosis in 2000, that sure seems much to long a time lag between discovery and clinical use and I'm sure it is that way across medicine.
