Coughing when trying to talk

Common Questions and Answers about Coughing when trying to talk

coughing

2010625 tn?1329372056 s very common to use one medication to treat many symptoms and/or diagnosis. It really amazes me when I look at med sheets at work and I see 2 people on the same medication and one person is taking it for seizure, and another for bipolar as a mood stabilizer. Personally I have found Depakote and seroquel work best so far for me. For others it may be to strong, or not even touch their symptoms, which brings me back to my point of psyche meds being all trial and error.
Avatar n tn Generally, your health going into the surgery helps determine if you will have any complications after. Typically though, coughing when talking (and not when silent) is a vocal cord issue. Actually, something to talk to your doctor about as well is Gerd which can cause this phenomenon. When is the last time you have talked to a doctor about this?
Avatar f tn Due to that I was told it may be harder to concieve, but it turns out I was pregnant while talking to my OB that day, ah the irony to it!
Avatar m tn m from Sweden how about you? Yeah i mean no one is like coming up to me and say it to my face, Maybe they talk behind my back who knows.. it's really frustrating especially when you try over and over again with diets and supplements and spend alot of money without any real success and like you say about looking unhealthy, lacking nutrition and can't enjoy a good BBQ with friends because you are afraid that you will produce a smell after eating haha im laughing at it it's so stupid.
Avatar f tn If youre concerned though call your dr for sure or just talk to your dr when you go in.
Avatar f tn Just started to wean off 2 days ago. I was taking 8 to 10 hydros & 5 to 6 tramadols. I'm sick & tired of the chase. I have to do on my own since I've been to rehab twice & i can't put my husband through this again. Just needed to be heard & it definitely helps to hear everyone's stories.

416848 tn?1203282755 Hi Need to Talk...you are sooo not alone. As I read your post, it was like I was reading something that I had written. I've been hooked on Vicodin and when I couldn't get more, I somehow was able to get another prescription for something else, equally addicting. My doctor wrote a script for Tramadol (Ultram) saying it's not near as habit forming, and it's only a mild narcotic, etc. Well that turned out to be bull****.
746512 tn?1388807580 I have been diagnosed with asthma myself. I take Singulair oral medication. I have Albuterol for a rescue inhaler, which I don't use all the time. In other words, I have to remind myself to use it when necessary. I don't use a peak flow meter, although I probably should. I wouldn't obsess with using the meter that much. I would talk to your doctor about the problems though. Also, try to relax a little bit.
Avatar f tn Even after you start adjusting to the med and start seeing some improvements, it may still take a little longer to get to the level of effectiveness you're after. And, if you ever decide to stop taking it, you need to ask your doc for a taper plan, as you should not stop taking it abruptly. Good luck, let us know how it's going! Avatar f tn But the thing is i have gotten negative tests before and obviously it bugged me but i looked at it as ok well guess we just have to keep trying. But today when i got that negative i broke down and have not been able to stop crying. Unfortunately my fiance is working late tonight and i didnt dare call him because i ddnt want to upset him by me being upset.
Avatar f tn Hi did u talk to ur doc? It's probably the best thing thing is to consult. When I was sick I would drink lots of water & orange juice Orange Juice has vitamin C in it which helps your immune system greatly. Hope this helps & feel better soon good luck!
Avatar f tn At first I would cough when I would try to talk and could not finish my sentence without coughing in the middle of talking. My family got worried and I went to the doctor and gave me some cough medicine and did a chest xray that came negative. Now my symptoms are more consistent in which I cough just as I wake up and after the last cough I would gag like my body would want to vomit, and this happens every morning.
Avatar f tn you should talk to a doctor about the possibility of ventolin or other medication. Although the best would be to avoid the area while the work is going on. Hope you feel better soon!
Avatar m tn I am a healthy 31 year old female (non-smoker) I have been sick with cold flu symptoms for 8 days now. It started out with just a sore throat. The second day I developed a fever of 102 which lasted for two days. I was coughing up hard green and blood filled mucus in the mornings only for those two days as well. Since day 4 I still have a severe sore throat and am coughing up dark yellow/green phlem in the mornings and have a nagging unproductive cough for the rest of the day.
Avatar f tn You may want to just try a pain clinic until we can find an answer. I know how it is tho. Its hard to even want to talk to people and so hard to get someone to understand what you're going thru. I am still looking for answers and will keep you updated. thanks again for writing.
Avatar f tn The chronic cough and shortness of breath are common side effects of Inf/Riba. You might talk to your doctor about taking an antihistamine to reduce the post nasal drip and cough reflex. I take claritin which helps this. Also, I see you're able to post under your original name so good to see you got your posting problems worked out. http://hepatitiscnewdrugs.blogspot.com/2010/10/chronic-coughpegylated.
Avatar f tn You said that he has been supporting you through dx and treatment of the disorder. So I would say that if the thoughts your having are creating fights between the both of you, then I think you should be talking to him about them. If they are leading you both into fighting, whats the harm going to be about trying to talk about them before that point? If it'll lead to a fight, then it does, but it probably would have anyway if you didn't discuss it first? Hope that makes sense.
363281 tn?1643235611 I am thankful that over 90% of the classes are on-line and I can do them at home. The fun part will be when I have to be there and the prof is trying to teach me how to set up a room or do an EKG, I might just have the professor put me on the machine. The entire time I was walking around the lovely campus, I wanted to leave as I was getting so scared, but, I forced myself to stay, it was rough.
287996 tn?1312023682 the bodies normal reaction to cough is the body telling us something is wrong w. the body and is trying to rid it of whatever it is....could be the heart was effected and the electrical pattern of the heart is misfiring even if you don't feel it, could be an issue with your lungs or ribs,,,,,and if your heart rate is still elevated definately go see someone sooner rather than later.
Avatar n tn Most doctors today will not even prescribe cough suppressants anymore because it hinders healing. The lungs are trying to heal by coughing your ridding the lungs of unwanted toxins and such. Are you coughing up any mucus and is it clear or yellowish green in color? I would call your doctor if it is not clear because you may need antibiotics. I would also stop the cough medication so the lungs can rid themselves of any mucus that's causing infection.
Avatar f tn I was allergic to the high dose of folic acid. After coughing and not being able to breathe for almost 6 months, as soon as I stopped taking the vitamins I stopped coughing. But I think I have lingering after effects from that episode, as every time my chest is exposed to cold air I start coughing. In the summer I have to keep my chest bundled up from the AC.
