Common Questions and Answers about Coughing when bending over

coughing

Avatar n tn what causes full head headache - painful pressure - when bending or coughing or having a bowel movement etc? This happened to me a couple of weeks ago, never had it before. My nose is fine (no congestion or apparent sinus problem).
Avatar f tn After 3 days of intense physical activity moving my elderly mother and clearing out her home I developed a headache and mid back pain. Bending over, coughing, sneezing, etc causes an explosion of pain in back of head that takes a few minutes to ease, leaving dull headache. Never experienced anything like it. Saw doctor who ordered CT scan which was normal including sinuses. However the next day my ears became full, light buzzing, amplified "in a barrel" sensation.
Avatar f tn went today to get the official work on my pregnancy and sign up for some assistance. now im home but have started coughing. my bf has the flu. when I cough I get some pretty long painful cramps. I don't have a doctor yet due to waiting to see if I qualify for some assistance through the state. don't know what to do. or what I can take for the cough.
Avatar f tn no you can't hurt your baby by bending over, it sounds like round ligament pain and is completely normal...you'll experience it more and more throughout the second trimester probably.
Avatar m tn Im 20 years old male 6'3 175 pounds and im a roofer for the past 6 to 8 months when im working while bending over like when im laying shingles i get really bad migraine's. The pain is behind my eyes top of my head and back of my neck. Its so bad it brings me right to my knees. I was in a car crash in august but i had a MRI and a CAT SCAN done that showed no prolbems. Most of the time if i sit up for a few minutes it goes away but as soon as i start bending over again its back.
Avatar f tn Does bending over alot hurt my baby?
Avatar f tn Agreed. If you're going to hurt anything bending over..it'll be your back...try your best to sqaut when possible just to take the pressure off your back and hips, but baby is fine.
Avatar n tn Is bending over bad for baby? I'm almost 8 months along and I keep having to pick up stuff around the house.
Avatar n tn Sometimes the pain appears with certain movements such as bending down, although it hurts less now with bending over than it did a few weeks ago. I have not taken any medication for this since the pain goes away after a little while. I have tried to feel around while coughing or straining to see if I can feel any protrusion but I cannot. Is it possible that it is a mild hernia of some sort?
Avatar n tn I have gotten the results of all the tests yet but for the the past few days I have had this feeling of pressure on top of my head on the left side when I cough, sneeze, bend over, turn my head quickly, even when I bend over to brush my teeth. It is not real painful but uncomfortable. Can you give me an idea of what could be going on. My doctor was testing my for TIA? Lupus? and other things.
Avatar m tn I get severe headaches when bending, coughing, yelling, and laughing it's been going on now for about 20 years. I feel as if my head is going to explode. They only last for a few minutes but are so bad i pray for God to take me right then seriously i feel like i am going to die. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn It is also bad when bending over or sitting. After extensive testing over many years Doctors say it is caused by allergies or reflux. I have taken every immaginable drug to dry it up and every thing to prevent reflux but nothing not even slightly helps. When I have an especially bad bout, I am forced to eat crackers, graham type, to block or absorb what ever is producing it. Loosing weight has helped in the past but the problem returns. Please anyone can you help me.
Avatar n tn s not pressure, but like my uterus has grown and is in the way so I feel it more when I bend over. Apparently baby is the size of a lime. Could I just be feeling baby when I bend over now? First time mum!
Avatar f tn This sounds like me, I don’t get periods, have the pain when sneezing or coughing, sometimes laughing too hard or bending in a certain position. I’m 17 and I have PCOS which is polycystic ovarian syndrome, like the earlier answer said it may be ovarian cysts. I had blood work and some ultra sounds done.
Avatar f tn s leash and I had the worst pain under my left breast (same applies to if I was bending more to my right or even just leaned over forward ). I have been taking anti-inflammatory meds every time I need to and I stopped playing sports because I was told to lay off such activites for awhile. But honestly the pain feels no different from before. It jus occurs less often because I don't do much now. Also the pain is different from chest pain. it feels like a very specific rib....
Avatar f tn That's where your uterus is right now. Be careful to bend your knees while bending over. Your ligaments are stretching so you might feel uncomfortable. Even sneezing amd coughing can be uncomfortable or painful when it comes to your ligaments.
