coughing only at night

My 2 year old kid has been coughing most days at night? Anyone know what it could be? Anyone know how to get in touch with a pediatrician over the phone or web? Would not mind getting an opinion from home as my next appointment is not for a month.

I seem to have more palpitations at night. Is this normal??? Do others have this happen to them??? I have suffered with them for a long time. I take my medicine faithfully. I am tired of these. They have started to disrupt my life!!!! Any suggestions?!?!?!

Hello Medhelp.. I've gotten sick /flu/fever 3 weeks ago..Usually my coughing and body aches last about a week..but my coughing has not gone away. I am a smoker for 9 years..but never experienced coughing like this. I cough severley only at night while I'm sleeping..but then the coughing gets better during the day. This coughing has been lasting 3 weeks..and the severe coughing at night which wakes me up has been about 4 days. Is this a sign of HIV or STD?

My elderly pug (13 years old) has been coughing at night. This doesn't seem to occur during the day or evening and only when she is laying in her bed. I have read other comments about this and cannot find anything that addresses this type of issue at night. I have contacted my vet and am waiting for a return call. I am fortunate to have a vet that makes house calls. I also have a 6 year old pug but she doesn't sleep with the older pug and has no symptoms similar to her older companion.

my 5 year old daughter lies down at night, she cannot stop coughing.. she naps in the same bed that day, no cough, but as soon as night comes, and bed time, she coughs all night long.. we have had no sleep in three months.. the drs say it is nothing -- allergies, or a sinus infection, and put us on zurteck and a z-pac.. but it has done nothing.. she has a severe history of upper respitory infections .. from 2 on, 2-3 almost died.. from it..we are at a loss! .. HELP!!!!!!

m a 23 year old male, who takes Singuliar, 10mg, daily for asthma symptoms. However for the past few nights, I have been wheezing and coughing in bed at night to the point it disrupts my sleep, leaving me dragging the next day. During the day I do not wheeze and cough, just laying down at night in bed. I have taken him to the doctors more times then i can remember..

so normally i dont have a problem with actually getting comfy at night! problems with sleeping and problems with moving due to the SPD but never with getting comfy! but last night i couldnt get comfy for the life of me! i tossed and turned for ages and felt really blurgh and just really strange! anyone else feel like this at this stage or could it possibly be a sign that shes getting ready to make an appearance? hoping for the latter! lol!

Is the nocturnal cough (possibly due to laryngitis) the cause of the fever? Mucus is collecting behind my vocal cords. It causes coughing at night. In the evening I use asthma medication, but I do not have asthma. Could cortisone inhalation (Alvesco) in the evening cause nocturnal fever several hours later? In the morning and daytime my temperature is normal (I had some fever over a week ago). I have atrial fibrillation and, when walking, I have dyspnea posssibly due to respiratory infection.

t eat fried foods or red meat but only a few times a year. My night time only symptoms have the Docs baffled. Anyone else have night time only symptoms? Does anyone else only experience their worst anxiety symptoms at night while lying in bed...but feel fine for most of the rest of the day (besides the occasional "brain jolt", tingling in a random spot or lightheadedness) ?

No matter what type of activities I do during the day I always get contractions at night and they are strong. Last night my bf woke me up askin me if I was okay because I guess I was whining and tossing and turning in my sleep and he thought I was goin into labor. Hopefully my baby isn't over due because I can't take this much longer.

My wife has been suffering for the past 6 months or so from severe pain in her legs. The odd thing is that it comes on at night only and is bad enough that she can't get to sleep. I have been experiencing for the last 2 months a constant pressure, heart racing feeling that ONLY happens at night. Why would episodes of SVT(avg 140bpm) affect me only at night? I only have episodes right after drifting off to sleep, never while awake.

ve been having frequent episodes of what I think is Afib, occurring only at night. It seems to happen only if I am awakened during the night, and as I settle back into sleep, I will get "runs" of fast beats that start off as a skip sensation then 3 to 5 fast beats, and then quickly ramps up to 5 to 10 fast beats. This pattern repeats over and over, with the fast beats happening several times a minute. Then within 20 minutes or so everything calms down and I go back to a normal rhythm.

I still have coughing at nights and in mornings. I have been thinking whether I have been suffering from pneumonia (with only slight fever). (I do have chronic sinusitis.) I have dyspnea, it has not vanished, today it has been bad. I have to drink lots of water, because I tend to become dehydrated. - Drinking water has sometimes abolished pain and some other symptoms.

I am 33 and I have been experiencing the same thing. The doctor put me on antibiotics and a inhaler. Nothing seems to work. The only time I'm not coughing is when I'm drinking lemon, honey and a mint leaf. I can't even sleep at night because I'm always coughing. If its to cold I'm coughing. If I'm drinking something cold I cough. If I eat some thing cold I cough. I just wish I had answers. I just want it to stop.
