Avatar m tn We have taken meds and puffers nothing is working. I have been coughing then leads to vomiting either flem or froth, and gasping for a minute or so out load to replace hair in my lungs. It is the most horrible thing... I get headaches and feel very tired. But told that we are to just relax and takes time :( Well to take time it's been over a month that we have been so sick!!! I will keep you posted on our condition!
Avatar n tn I'm having a sever cough since two weeks that leads to vomiting and the cough makes me breathless and today I started having a throat ache. The vomiting and the cough increase when I eat and during my sleep. I asked someone and he said its a stress affair and I should visit a Dr but I've been busy so could you please help? AND its the first time yo experience this.
1769619 tn?1313888160 I had asthma as a child, and it was much better in my 20's, but now it seems to be much more sensitive to illness, seasonal allergies, as well as other variables such as travel, weather changes, stress and what have you. But for the first time ever this week, after catching my husband's virus, I've been coughing to the point of vomiting. It hit over the holidays so there's been no good time to go to a doctor, but I hope to go tomorrow.
Avatar f tn I am having trouble as symptoms come on very fast. Most annoying is the coughing leads to vomiting very quickly and very difficult to use inhaler once that starts! Had a very scary morning that I couldn't control breathing, coughing and vomiting enough to take Puffer. I am using inhaler 2x nightly and usually 2x during day. Last night was the first night I didn't use my inhaler and I have never gone a day without using Puffer at least once but mostly use my max of 4x a day.
Avatar f tn ve heard of girls having this happen and being fine, but it is always better to make sure with this. Coughing up blood can be a sign of a blood clot in the lung or something serious like that. Tell them everything. Stay calm and good luck!
Avatar n tn this is really effecting me because i cant even talk to someone because in mid conversation i feel like i have to gag. when i gag i burp because recently i cant burp on my own i have to gag to get air up. i have no health insurance due to no longer being in school so thats why i came to this post. i know this is a very hard subject to analyze due to me reading numerous post from other people with a similar problem.
Avatar f tn No fever. I go to see the oral surgeon on Tuesday. I am in pain, but nervous to take any more medication. Thanks, Vicki.
Avatar f tn There has been some improvement but I still wake up in the morning coughing, and I still have coughing spells that result in vomiting mucus. My doctor told me I have mild COPD. I'm 25 years old and never smoked a day in my life. I'm going to see a pulmonary doctor for a second opinion.
Avatar n tn I would take her to her physician as soon as you are able, it is certainly not healthy for her to keep coughing and vomiting. The coughing will hurt her insides if it is too strong and vomiting will prevent her from getting her much needed nutrients from food, etc. I really am not able to tell you what it is, it could be a number of things, and, as I said, it would be best if she saw a doctor. Please let me know the outcome, I know she must be miserable.

Avatar n tn Your grandchild needs to see a Dr asap it could be simple as back drip from nose bleed to a serious medical problem and any time a child is gasping for air has a hard time breathing they need to see a Dr i would take them to the er right now.
Avatar f tn I have had this for a long time. It had gotten somewhat better but then it was really bad again. Through process of elimination I realized I started a blood pressure medication the generic for Zestril. I cut the dosage back and it got better then I stopped it and the coughing & vomiting stopped. It's not gone but I'm out of the terrible period. Are you on any medicines?
Avatar f tn She could have something called bilious vomiting syndrome. Even though it's called bilious vomiting syndrome, it's not an actual vomiting that brings up the foam, it's a gagging cough. This happens in some dogs when they first wake up, the stomach is empty from not eating all night and there is a buildup of acid. You can try an experiment to see if this is what it is - try feeding your dog a small snack late at night or, if you wake up during the night, give her a cookie or two.
Avatar f tn My cat was coughing and breathing heavy. I took her to the Vet and after they took X-Ray I was told she has to be under medication for two weeks. I started her on Clavamox 15 ML but after couple of days I noticed she vomits after each intake. I was told by the Vet to give her Metochlopramide 5 MG first and wait 20 minutes before giving her Clavamox. She is not eating food and I am giving her Garbor baby food (chicken and rice) along with Clavamox. I noticed she still vomits after each intake.
Avatar f tn which leads me to think it could be appendicitis. I am not 100% sure about this because most of the forums i have read say that the pain would need to be in the lower right side of the abdominal area. Mine is down in the centre, but does how ever move from side to side at times. I will go and see a doctor as soon as possible. Thanks again.
Avatar n tn This started 5 days after an unrelated operation. The cough worsened and I started vomiting when coughing. Although I am now coughing less, I have lost my voice which means I cannot work. My chest hurts because of the strain on my muscles. My GP has listened to my chest and says that it is clear. I have asthma but this is not related to this as far as I am aware.
Avatar m tn Slowly, her repetitive coughing (mainly in the night) has turned to vomiting. It is common for her to vomit once a night now. She also vomits if she over eats. She described her last puking episode to be more oily. As in she could see oil in her vomit. She claims its nothing because her lasagna was oily. She doesnt want to go to her doctor nor the hospital. I KNOW (i have no prior medical knowledge) that it is serious.
Avatar f tn How can I stop my cat from vomiting? She is taking Clavamox drops and was vomiting after each use. I spoke to her Vet and was told that I should give her Metochlopramide 5 MG first and wait for 20 minutes and then give her Clavamox. She is not eating and Vet suggested to give her baby food with the Clavomox. I am doing what I was told but my cat is still vomiting.
Avatar f tn Tonight while cooking, the smell of garlic mixed with curry overwhelmed me and i started coughing to the point of almost vomiting and shortness of breath. What do you think?
Avatar n tn My son is 3 yrs old. I took him last Sunday to the pediatrician for vomiting. Prior to that I took him 2 weeks ago for cough and chest congestion. My son has had a bad cough for over 4 weeks and starting on Sunday he was vomiting, naseous, complete loss of apetite. The pediatrician drew blood, ordered a chest x-ray and put him on a nebulizer treatment. He said that his chest was congested and the vomiting was probably due to that or a small virus.
Avatar f tn I don't know how to explain what the feeling is that I get in the back of my throat, I refer to it as dry throat, even though I drink constantly. It causes me to gag horrifically until I'm coughing so hard I almost throw up. I've been experiencing this since I had my tonsils removed three years ago, and I'm at the point where I just can't take it anymore. PLease Help!
Avatar n tn My 3 year old has a fever of 102, is vomiting, shaking, coughing, and has a runny nose. Should I take her to the ER at this point?
Avatar f tn Book an appointment to see your doctor to see if he can give you anything stronger than a paracetamol etc to make you better and to make sure its nothing serious. Drink water and eat healthy as you don't want any fast foods or any bad types of foods irritating your stomach. Also try to get some sleep and relax when ever you can.
Avatar n tn My 20 month old grandson has had vomiting for almost a week. He has had a history of reflux, but this past week he has had some projectile vomiting, no fever, and just can't keep anything down. What should we do? No fever, his pedi thinks it's a virus and lasts 7 to 10 days.
