Coughing diarrhea

Common Questions and Answers about Coughing diarrhea

coughing

Hi All, My daughter is 17 months old and since she was 3 months old, she has been either coughing, wheezing or congested. I used to have a local pediatrician who kept telling me that she was in day care so it is common. And so this went on and on. We are military, so I decided to switch pediatricians for another opinion. Now I have seen 3 different "so called" military pediatricians and they say she has baby asthma and have put her on a daily breathing treatment (nebulizer).
I have a 10 mo old boy. His diarrhea is now on day 17. Its not excessive but it is 5 to 6 times a day. He has not been aboe to hold first bottle of the morning down since monday. He is not vommiting any other time that this. He is cutting 4 molars and now has the ruuny nose coughing and congestion. We have taken him to his pediatrician twice and to the ER once. All tests point toward a virus. But it is day 17. Just curious to see if anyone had been seeing anything like this?.
I had diarrhea for almost 3 weeks, during the same period as coughing. 3. Currently minor coughing still remains but diarrhea is gone. 4. Last week I had a lot of late night work to do and got about 1-3 hrs of sleep each night for the entire week. I sweated a lot so I think the clothes I wore were dirty for the entire week.
Right now, I am still experiencing coughing, vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhea in the morning. It gets better as the day goes on.
She cough for long periods of time throughout the day and night, has a permament feeling of mucus in the back of her throat, she now throws up with regularity as well as having diarrhea on a daily basis. She is also weak and lacking energy, her face gets puffy and her cheeks get flushed and she is now nothing like the fit healthy 'i can beat anything' women of a couple of years ago. Can anybody help as we don't seem to getting anywhere?
My Mom has a 12 year old Yorkie/Cairn Terrier mix that has been coughing for several months. Has had him to the vet several times, they gave her medicine and antibiotics for allergies and bronchitis. A few weeks ago he had the diarrhea, the vet told her to mix pumpkin, hamburger & rice together...that worked, until a few days ago. She is talking about putting him to sleep. Would like to learn more about the dry hacky cough that he has...and why the diarrhea came back.
My newborn ( 3.5 weeks) is congested and coughing, last night he was restless and today he is sooo tired, we wake him up to feed him, he takes the bottle but otherwise he won't eat unless prompted. This couldn't lead to anything worse could it, is it normal? Is there anything I can do to relieve his congestion?
My cat went to the vet over a week ago for a yearly exam and figure out why he is coughing. I found out he has a hairball so the vet gave me laxatone. Instructions are to give it once per day for three days then every other day three times with less amount. That stopped a week ago. I was also given Purina DM because he is diabetic and needs to lose some weight. So I have been mixing it with his old food (Wellness Core). Well he has had diarrhea for three days. Why is this happening?
He has had diarrhea for three days. He has been drinking water. What could be causing the diarrhea? Should I stop giving him the Purina DM?

(in children to milk, soy eggs, and wheat). Symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash/itching, difficult breathing, face flushing) appear shortly after eating that food. Diagnosis of allergy is made by skin test (suspicious substances are tried).
This then eased a little however I still had a very irritable throat and incredible coughing and yellow phlegm, very little sneezing, which has now lasted for about two-and-a-half weeks. My sore throat and coughing have now eased almost two months after the first visit, but I still have stuffy sinuses. However for the last five days I am now having very loose stools/diarrhea. I also think I may be having a loss of appetite and may have had some weight loss.
hello I have recently taken my poor 8 yr old male Bombay, Shadow (aka Pnut or Doo) to the vet for an array of symptoms such as diarrhea, bumps on skin, sneezing, coughing, & difficulty swallowing. They gave him a couple of injections at the place & sent me home with some medication for his diarrhea. They wanted to do a chest xray, but I don't have the money for it. They suggested getting him on Imodium AD as well. His diarrhea is getting under control. However, I have a new issue.
Along with this I've been suffering with diarrhea on and off for some time too. I feel this might be due to a lack of fiber in my diet, which I've been trying to up lately. Also which could be stress related, I have been having troubles trying to sleep. At the precise moment I'm about to fall asleep I would sometimes wake up with a start as if I forgot how to breathe for a second. This is a really scary feeling leaving me tired the next day.
The first thing I do is wash out with saline solution for about 3 minutes until I have some drainage, which usually my sinus's are packed. Then I start the coughing ritual for about 10 minutes. Bone breaking coughing! And at night time when I lay down for bed I will wheeze & am constantly coughing all night. Anyone else with these symptoms ? Is it the interferon, riba or Inc ? Or all ?????
On Thursday, she was perfectly fine. Then on Friday, she was a bit weak, and had diarrhea; loose stool, ending with clear mucus. She had no appetite for the dry dog food, and even though she would eat the baby food, she rejected more than usual. This continued on Saturday. She still had loose stool (no more clear mucus) and no appetite, and wasn't excited about going outside like she usually is. She would still go upstairs to use a pee mat on her own, though.
after my 9th tx, I slept until 11 Saturday, but went to a halfway house benefit, ate some hotdogs, wrong, instant nausea, vomit, diarrhea and foggy fatigue. A lot of friends though supporting me, and me supporting them, took my sponsee to Wally World had a good talk. Spent time with a friend Dana, and going to dinner with her tonight. Felt bad, but I was able to enjoy and participate. Hope I can hold on through dinner with Dana. Italian, maybe just a salad.
I have had numerous blood tests and recently had a CT Chest scan which showed nothing, though I am still coughing up blood (its not huge amounts - though when I cough I bring up flem along with blood). I also get headaches which occasionally turn into migraines, Tired/lethargic. I am a smoker. 18 years of age.
Sorry, meant to add, obviously the vomiting and diarrhea are probably secondary symptoms, which means she is picking this infection up from something in the immediate environment. That means something in your home, your garden/backyard area, other dogs or other people that she comes into contact with, or her food or treats fed regularly. If you have changed food, try looking at other things she eats (treats) as a first priority.
She is sitting on my lap right now wheezing. She has been to the vet twice in the past 3 weeks for coughing up phlegm (white and some green) she coughs worse in the mornings, even just running down the hall or when she gets excited. Some days are worse than others sometimes she doesn't even need a reason to cough. She was put on 10 days of doxycyclin now she is one amoxocilin and has been for 3 days now.
Also I have yellow diarrhea alot, thats the most frightening thing after 3 or 4 days, could it be Giardia. I get chills frequently and my lower left side of my abdomen cramps alot i also have alot of coughing going on, but mucas looks fine. the coughing sometimes turns into fits of green vomit i do believe thats bile, i also have dizzy spells. the doctors think it could be my impacted wisdom tooth so they gave me antibiotics for the swelling lympnode on my left side of my neck.
Hi, I have been having a severe constant pain on my right side under my ribs, It is swollen and feels like someone kicked me in my ribs. At times I have a hard time coughing, breathing or laughing without a stabbing pain. I have black stools, mostly diarhea with severe abdominal pain and low back pain. Once the low back pain and abdominal pain begin(which are very painful) I must use the bathroom. My right side under my ribs is swollen and feels like I have a big knot under my rib cage.
Friday she vomited once with diarrhea throughout the whole day. Saturday and Sunday she did not vomit but still had diarrhea. Monday she vomited once and had diarrhea throughout the whole day. She has had constipation issues since she was a newborn. She has been on Miralax since she was three months old. I took her off Miralax about two months ago because I thought she was fine.
Recently, for the last 2 weeks, ive been woken up by nausea, which very shortly leads me to go to the washroom. I get diarrhea, then the nausea persists untill it finally goes away some hours later. Normaly, after maybe 4 hours maybe, i will feel normal, with from time to time, rreoccuring slight pain, which i deal with then it leaves.
You should contact a specialist (gastro-intestinal), and please be sure to drink water, for the diarrhea and sweating can dangerously dehydrate you. It may also be the case of why you get so dizzy. Another thing I found that helped was being sure to lay down in a fetal position after the pain subsides, though I'm sure there is a much better way to deal with it. I do hope what I said helps you, take care.
I get a sore throat (not tonsils but when you swallow) I now go straight on antibiotics and use Bricanyl inhaler although it doesnt seem to have much effect except to cause alot of mucus coughed up from the lungs. It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out. The last one about 2 years ago stopped me breathing in and out completely for 10 to 15 seconds and I thought I had bought it.
I've had issues with foul-smelling gas and diarrhea for a few years. I attributed it to me being lactose intolerant (I was never tested) and try to avoid dairy. This seems to help most of the time, but although it has reduced occurrences, it has not gone away completely. The last few months I have been experiencing bouts of nausea, burning sensations in my lower abdomen, heart burn, and extreme fatigue. I have diarrhea everyday.
severe diarrhea (complete liquid, basically poops out his water) incontinence of bowel movements abdominal discomfort red, swollen anus and tail area near anus after bowel movements No other symptoms! No vomitting, coughing, etc. Please, please help with any suggestions for what it may be and what we can do. He may not survive through the night. I am desperate and, like I said, have NO other options right now.
