Avatar m tn It's far more likely the result of your getting up out of a reclining position and walking to the bathroom allowing gravity and some coughing and swallowing to help you drain the fluid from your throat and esophagus away from your airway. Can't imagine any specific connection of coughing to the bladder.
Avatar n tn Her coughing during the day is much improved but as soon as she lies down for bedtime the coughing begins. She coughed over an hour before falling asleep and then coughed almost non-stop from 1:30-6:30 this am. Still running a low-grade temp. No wheezing but is this asthma, allergy, virus? Are the guinea pigs causing all of this?
Avatar n tn I have incessant burping, weasing & coughing all day from the time I wake in the mornings. I have tried many natural cures but nothing works. I would appreciate any comments.
Avatar m tn Same goes for our 5 year old give any type of milk before bed, 99% of the time she is up coughing. i said bedtime alot because thats usually only when the coughing happens, really kind of weird . Our 5 year old has chronic nasal problems and uses prescription nose spray. So is it really an allergy or something else??

1703762 tn?1307474110 Later on Sunday evening, when we arrived back home, my pup Tedi began coughing. Not frequently but once every few minutes. Awhile later around bedtime she settled down and kind of seem depressed, which isnt like her because she's usually in a playful mood from morning to bedtime. My dad and I just thought she was tired or she missed my grandma. But the next day she was still coughing, and also later at night she settled down and was acting like she wasnt feeling good.
Avatar n tn s run a low grade temp for 13 days running, has taken codituss cough med (with codiend), breathing treatments with Xopenex, and has finished a round of Z-pack. Coughing is horrible at bedtime and through the night. Since she has a low grade temp I had disregarded an allergy. 13 days into this, I'm re-thinking everything. I'm looking for help. Is this a virus or allergy or what? She can sit in a room 6 ft from the guinea pigs and not cough at all.
Avatar f tn Current list of meds Topiramate (topamax) 50mg 1 tablet 2 times daily, Amitriptyline 100mg 1 tablet at bedtime, Cyclobenzaprine (flexeril) 10mg 1 tablet at bedtime, and Butalbital/APAP/Caffeine (fioricet) 1 tablet to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. And my ENT has me on Diazepam 2mg 1 tablet 3 times daily. I'm wondering if it is the Topamax, or the combination of meds, or the Chiari? I guess I'll have to play phone tag with the NL office today and see what they think.
Avatar n tn Take a late night snack. Raise head end of bed. Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food. See if these tips help you. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
400358 tn?1320234443 He does sleep really well when we get him to bed. He will only wake up at 2 and 6. I just wondered if he should be put down for a "bedtime" . I guess from what it sounds like we are doing pretty well to get him to bed at 9. We are trying to get him started on a routine since he is almost 2 months and that is when they say they should start going on a schedule.
Avatar m tn Yes, I slept through the night about were your at in this.
Avatar n tn s like showering with them; they love it at age 2, but at some point soon after they just stop on their own. You don't have to kick them out. Similarly, I would expect her to one day soon decide on her own that she wants to stay in her own room -- and certainly by puberty.
Avatar f tn He was doing well sleeping w/o me in the room for a few nights, but now he will do anything to postpone bedtime. We start at 7pm, and I read 3 books, tell 2 stories, sing 2 songs to him then lights out. He will tell me 4-5 times that he has to pee, poop, has something in his eye, can't open his eyes, needs a drink, is tired, I try to put music on for him, and he says I don't want that song I want a different one. I get very frustrated.
Avatar n tn I, personally, find it helps especially if I've over done the carbs at one particular meal that day (usually dinner) I love nuts for this. I hope this helps!
Avatar n tn This has been going on for over a year. She only wants to sleep on my floor! She panics at bedtime and it takes us about 1-2 hours to get her to go to sleep in her own room or another room besides ours . She was sharing a bedroom with her little 3 year old sister. But we had to separate them because she was keeping the 3 year old awake and wanted us in there laying with her until she fell asleep. Then the 3 year old started wanting us to lay with her til she fell asleep too!
Avatar n tn However, for the past few weeks I had missed my meds (family problems), and last evening I ate just before bedtime. During the night I woke up, unable to breath, choking and then started coughing. I had aspirated stomach fluids. Today my chest is a little sore and I'm still coughing. Should I see a doctor to have my lungs checked? Thank you.
1337425 tn?1278173987 A couple of days ago I had a really bad case of acid reflux while laying down, elevated, watching tv. Was later able to cough out a small chunk of food, but have been coughing hard since then, and think I might have aspirated some food into lungs. I also smoke, but this never, ever caused coughing episodes before. Is aspiration of food into lungs something that can be resolved by coughing? If not, what should I do?
Avatar f tn Hello Dr. my question is, for about 2 years now, at least once a month (if not more) I will be sleeping (I seem to be sleeping ok) and I will wake up gasping for air feeling like the air has been sucked right out of me. Sometimes I start coughing. And when I'm done coughing I will go back to sleep and it to happen again and I will get tired of waking up this way so I will just get up then. My nose is not plugged up, I dont have a cold or I'm not sick. So what could this be.???
Avatar n tn So I was thinking If I do the bedtime routine at 10 then maybe he would sleep straight to morning without waking up every half hour.
19501685 tn?1478887405 Doctor recently prescribed ranitidine before bedtime as my reflux is worse at night. Could the reflux be the cause for the blood? I get really scared when I see it, I have been really anxious about this and have actually gained weight from the stress.
